Are you sure?

I've just started on the whole fanart thingy (well, Lion King wise. My original fanartdom remains Buffy the Vampire Slayer) so this page is pretty scanty as of yet. But I anticipate things! Big things! Woo! My two big goals: Clean up my tangly mess of lines (I tend to treat drawing like carving, which just leads to messiness), and color stuff.

Also- infinite thanks to the wonderful people in this archive who promote the incredible fan spirit and unity that I've seen. Awww. You guys are the greatest.

Update: I've not been working on TLK art as of late, but this is changing very rapidly. I sadly had to drop out of college due to a very broken heel and subsequent surgery. On the upside, this has left me a lot of time to develop my art, and I've gotten a tablet!

Someone's just got himself a nickname... Also, ouch. Poor baby. He's also probably upset because of the delightful coloring job I did on him (cough). Meh. We'll pretend it's mood lighting.

I'm most likely going to recolor this in the near future. Once it isn't obscenely early in the morning. Man... this color job is even cheaper and dirtier than the last!

It's tiny Scar! And it's also the cheapest, dirtiest color job I've ever done. Seriously. Including second grade where I didn't particularly care about getting the crayons inside the lines. It turned out pretty well, nonetheless.

The colored version of that one picture. My third attempt at coloring. I really am starting to see an improvement- my backgrounds still need work, though. And I utterly forgot a light source.

Note: If I get interest, I might do a tutorial on how I did the scars. It was a method I happened on accidentally while making this picture, and it turned out very well.
