Vitani
From TLKFAAwiki
Vitani is the daughter of Zira and Scar and she is sister of Nuka and half-sister of Kovu. She appears in 'The Lion King II: Simba's Pride'. She is voiced by Lacey Chabert, voice cub; Crysta Macalush, singing cub; and Jennifer Lien, voice adult. Vitani's is a mixture of her original movie name 'Shetani,' meaning demon in Kiswahili and 'Vita' meaning war in Swahili, so translated, her name means 'demon of war'.

In Simba's Pride
Always ahead of her siblings, Vitani is a sly and clever lioness. As the daughter of Zira, her role for much of the film is to be a comfort to Kovu. Vitani's father is unknown and much discussion goes into whether Vitani is the daughter of Scar and therefore a half-sister to Kovu or Kovu 's twin, seeing as their ages seem close.
Cub Vitani
Vitani's role as a cub is quite minor, but through her and Nuka we gain access to the two siblings' thoughts on Kovu and Zira. She later appears in Zira's song, 'My Lullaby'.
Adult Vitani
As an adult Vitani develops into a slender and scraggly lioness. Her trademark bangs remain but her youthful independence wavers as she follows her mother's plans to help Kovu infiltrate Simba 's pride. She and Nuka play a key role in getting Zira 's plot in motion by setting the Pridelands alight. She is later seen spying on Kovu at pride rock and immediatly reports to her mother when she realises that Kovu might be betraying them. In the final battle, Vitani appears at Zira 's side ready to fight for her cause and for the revenge of her brother's death. Although fighting bitterly with Nala and the other Pridelanders, Vitani is the first lioness to cross over sides after Kiara explains that it is pointless to fight. Although threatened by her mother Vitani breaks the ice to which all the Outsiders follow and join Simba to defend his cause.
Vitani's Changing Design
All the way through simba's pride adult Vitani's design changes. Most of them are just mix-ups in character sheets with the animation department.
Cub Vitani
design Cub Vitani has pointed cheeks, no earstripes, and no whisker spots. Scenes: Talking to Nuka in the Outlands, 'My Lullaby'.
#1 Adult Vitani Design
This is the most frequently seen adult Vitani design, and can be seen in the picture above. She now has rounded cheeks, earstripes, whisker spots, and bushy eyebrows. Scenes include: In the elephant graveyard before lighting the branch, setting the Pridelands alight, Nuka's death, and the final battle.
#2 Adult Vitani Design
This design is the same as the Vitani above, but with pointed cheeks instead of rounded ones. This shot of vitani is only seen for a couple of seconds and is probably a mix up with the character sheets for her cub design instead of the adult one. The next sequence after Vitani has walked into the muddy river she has pointed cheeks so again some think this Vitani design was a mistake. Scenes include: Walking towards the camera through a muddy lake, and into the Pridelands for the final battle.
#3 Adult Vitani Design
This is another variation of adult Vitani which is supposed to be a mistake. This one has no earstripes but the lines where they should be are there. Some people could say that her eyes are also red but it it's probably meant to be the haze of the elephant graveyard. Upon closer inspection there are sep lines drawn on her ears revealing that this is a mistake on the color department's behalf. Scenes: Lighting the branch in the elephant graveyard.
Cut Scene
Vitani appeared in a cut scene along with her brothers and Zira, just after the presentation of Kiara. The scene was dropped mostly because it was eating too much time of the movie, but it let the viewers have an interesting insight on Kovu's connection to Scar and Zira's plan for Kovu. In the scene Nuka and Vitani fight over who gets to tell Zira first about Simba's cub to which Zira ignores Nuka anyway and asks Vitani what she saw. Vitani happily replies, "Simba's new cub is a girl!" Later in the scene Vitani agitatedly informs Nuka than Scar is dead after he thinks that Zira is actually talking to a physical form of Scar although she is merely talking aloud. The scene is avaliable to view at http://www.lionking.org/ in the section about 'Simba's Pride'.
Merchandise
The only Vitani merchandise made was a small beanie which came in a set with Kovu and Nuka, and a photoframe which features several other Simba's Pride characters. Both items are unavailable in stores now but can frequently be found on eBay.
