| Very sorry to disagree, but its no better to give a character to someone who you have no idea will use it, than to keep the unused char. It totally pointless. And...... based on my judgement, im totally stupid. thanks. Your art is way cool, but.....*gives up and walks away* edit: ive never taken a char away, but i do leave it on the TT for AGES because nobody will read rules. I do agree with you there. If i were to take away a char ive given, i would be childish and evil. |

Just because it's not uploaded doesn't mean they won't use it :) Some people write stories, some draw. To give someone a character then take it away is extremely rude and childish.
So go walk away :)

| Hey Weaver, you have great art here with a great style! My reason of commenting however is about something that has... well, confused me. The comment you left on jrockervampireSimba's comment page which is : "You are the best featured artist I have ever witnessed. Please keep up your art and sense of crazy. Your art is your soul and your soul is amazing. Your art is much better than the dull bland stuff you were unfairly kicked off AOTM for. I especially love the tilted crazy world you present in your gallery. You draw amazing worlds with bits of sanity that transform into the higher form of insanity. Keep it up, please! You make the words "Honoury Mention" mean "Genius King/Queen" and AotM mean "Artists of the Miserable Moaning"" I understand you love his style a lot and you are angry that he lost his title but I still think it was unnecessary to degrade Maggot's art like that. I think every AOTM has earned their title fairly and I can't understand why some people wrinkle their nose at their art and strut away. I doubt jrocker even understood what title he lost. He doesn't seem to understand much of what is going on judging by his comments. *sighs* Edit: Hmm, well I do agree that complaints don't belong in Praise threads but how are you sure that it was Maggot? I talked with her some time ago and she told me that she hadn't gone to Brian to complain about that which is why the changement came as a surprise to her. Another question: What makes her art bland? Well, I don't know what "bland" means actually so could you explain that to me too? :) I sound like a doofus I know. Another thing which I don't really understand is that jrocker is gong around the site writing rude comments on others' artwork and then making it seem like he was praising them instead. In your reply you sounded angry so I'm really sorry if I insulted you or angered you. I'm not tying to take sides and I really hope this gets a bit quieter. It makes me sad to feel that tension all over the site. |

What I did dislike was all of Maggot's complaining in the Praise thread about JRocker both before and after the AOTM discovery (I only read all of it after the drama)
and I do count it as unfair that this person was kicked off AOTM because of Maggot's complaints over their art, whether he understands it or not...and I also consider Maggot's art to be bland, both before and after she gained AOTM.
What I'm wrinkling my nose at is Maggot's attitude. If they had aquired AOTM fairly, I wouldn't care less.
But s/he didn't. They came in second and proceeded to whine, complain and organise other's to complain so jrocker was not the official AOTM and they were.

She also made a general post thread saying she had gone to Brian out of concern about Jrocker possibly winning - that thread was just stupid cause she woke the drama up all over again.
For me, bland art is art that doesn't make me feel something. i.e. cliche standing poses of someone just standing there. Art that doesn't break out of the mold so to speak. i.e. I just noticed Timali uploaded a picture of dancing lions recently. They're flat lined and sketchy, but they posess movement and life... contrasted to a picture of some character standing there with a bg and shading. (not thinking of any picture in particular, just the first generic picture plan I could think of)
I've actually never seen any of these jrocker comments, although i've heard of them and went to view them, but the artist must have deleted them. i also don't normally click on comments, so i haven't run across them accidently.
Sorry if i sound angry, i swear i'm not. it's just easier for me to be blunt so that i don't accidently mislead people with my attempts at subtlety.
i'm fairly sure the drama is dead anyway, although Maggot and some other person on lilymud lost a huge chunk of any respect or interest from me simply because they kept hanging around in praise threads to insult people, both before and after AOTM.
