The beautiful mate of Mel and mother of Leo and Max.
Though she did love her mate, she never could get over the hero-worship stuff he had for his dad, the fearless Buzz.
After a very large controversy involving the entire colony, Ann decided to leave. This pretty much broke the entire family, along with Mel's heart.
Before she left, though, she was a good mother and a great aid to the colony's matriarch, Ruth.

Father of Kavie and mate of Clea. Even less is known about Bami than his mate.
He was a good dad and tried to save Clea from the snake that took both of their lives, leaveing their daughter with her grandmother, Ruth. (also Kavie's aunt and uncle, but they're not much help)

Birth name Banai. A hynea in a clan of unkown size. Brother of Fred (to his chagrin).

A silly little cub, although he's shy around girls. They all think he's cute but he just runs and hides behind his mommy when they chase him. He only has three legs, born that way. His parents are Tojo and I'm gonna say (for now) Kula.

Mother of Scruffy, friend of Ann, Ruth, and Clea.
Chio is/was a single mother.
When Bami and Clea died and Ruth took over taking care of Kavie, Chio volunteered to care for Kavie if anything happened to Ruth or if Ruth couldn't.

Clea was the daughter of Ruth, mate of Bami, mother of Kavie (Timon's mom), and the appointed future matriarch.
Not much is learned about her, but Clea was a good choice for matriarch, not just because she was Ruth's daughter either.
She also loved her daughter very much.
She sadly was killed by a snake along with her mate.

Incompetent member of the same clan as Banny, Shanti, and Mika. Brother of Banny. Father of Banzai and Ed.

Joey was a friend of Leo when they were young, and best friend of Scruffy. Joey and Scruffy never did like to play by the rules, and were always getting into trouble because of it. They didn't like listening to Kavie, but they should have more often.
When Joey grew up he became a sentry, earning the nickname "Iron Joe". But the constant pressure of keeping the colony safe finally got to Joey, it started to crack him. Earning him a second nickname of "Flinchy".

A young meerkat pup that lived in the colony Timon is from. When Myla went to live there she began babysitting some of the pups of the colony, and Kima was one of her charges.

Born blind, doesn't really want help with anything though. Her parents are over-protcetive, so she gets sick of the special treatment and fussing over her. The other pups don't really play with her. It's not really because she can't see, but she tends to have an attitude problem. Spends most of the time while her parents are away sitting in the shade with Myla.

Best friend of Kavie (Timon's mom).
Laita was always a very quiet and shy meerkat, even when she was young. She did always want to be more outspoken like her best friend, but wasn't really sure she could. After the big controversy in the colony, Laita would have stayed to become Kavie's aid when she became matriarch, but things happened. Her unrequited love (and some prodding by Molly) gave her the want to start over. So she set off for a new colony. Some speculate that we'll see her again, and some believe that she was mentioned in Timon & Pumbaa: Times of Change.

Son of Ruth, brother of Clea, and mate of Molly.
Lee is, to use a nice phrase, whipped. He'll do pretty much whatever his mate Molly says.
He's a good meerkat, he's just kind of timid when it comes to Molly.
Despite the lack-of-greif we see, he was deeply sad about his sister's passing. That just didn't come up much in the story.

A technical original character. We all know Timon had a father, but they cut him out of the movie. So, unlike his mom (whom I call Kavie) I think I'm allowed to call this version of his Dad my own. Unless I'm not.
Anyway, Leo was a very energetic and inquisitive pup. He always wanted to do what his brother Max did, and what his father Mel did (which was usually the same thing).
As Leo grew though, he started getting his own ideas of what he wanted out of life, which led to some controversy and estrangement from his beloved brother.
He looked up to his father, brother, and grandfather. He wanted his future children to take a leaf from his grampa (the fearless Buzz)'s book, and stand up to those predators who feast on meerkats.
He met his mate, Kavie, when they were very young, and they fell in love as young adults.
They then had Timon before Leo was tragically killed and Leo left his son in the care of his mate and Max.

The pups born to Timon and Myla.

Angya is a typical curious pup, like many of her anscestors before her. She comes from a long line of curious. She often shares her dreams and how she feels about things. Not normally with a sudden outburst of "I'M HAPPY" or "I'M SAD!", but in her actions. She's incredibly passionate, and that will drive her througout her life.

Leo is more like his mother, more subdued and solitary. He even has her eyes (I gave Angya blue, there weren't enough Blu-eyed meerkats in the family).
Leo likes to wonder about things, and he has dreams like his sister, but he often only confides them in those he trusts.

The father of Max and Leo, and grandfather of Timon. Also mate of Ann.
Mel was pretty funny and a good father. He let his youngest son tag along and get some adult meerkat training very early in life.
Like his sons do to him, he looked up to his father, Buzz (the fearless Buzz). Even though only half of the colony believes that he was a hero like Mel thinks. His mate Ann is one of the other half that doesn't, so that led to some heated arguments for the couple.
Mel lived for a long time but did not live to see the birth of his only grandchild, Timon.

Hyena in a clan of unknown size. Thinks Fred is a moron but ends up with him anyway, to become Banzai and Ed's mother.

Molly came from another colony run by her sister. She was apparently kicked out for being jealous and trying to take her sister's job.
She wants to become the matriarch of her new mate's colony possibly to show her sister up. (this is widely speculated as the real reason behind her attraction to Lee.)
Molly is pretty manipulative and greedy.
Mate of Lee, but never considered by Ruth to be matriarch.

Myla was born in a colony pretty far off from the one Timon comes from. She joined the colony we know a little while after Timon left to find his dream home. Timon's mother (in my fics referred to as Kavie) befriended her. Once Timon had returned and taken them to live in the jungle oasis, Kavie tried to set up Myla with Timon.
Myla has been described as an, "agressive, possesive loner". But she just liked being on her own, and still does sometimes.

Mother of Clea and Lee. Grandmother of Kavie. Great-grandmother of Timon. Possibly one of the best matriarchs the colony had ever had.
A very sweet old soul, she abolished the usual meerkat rule that only the matriarch or her kin could have pups.
After her daughter and her mate where killed though, Ruth seriously considered stepping down before appointing someone new.

Son of Chio. Best friend of Joey, and friend of Leo.
Yes, Scruffy is his given name. Not much is known about him other than what has been mentioned in Joey's bio.
When Scruffy grew up, he joined the tunnel workforce like many of the young males.

Leader of a hynea clan of unknown size. So far only mentioned. Mother of Shenzi.

Joey( a.k.a. Joe, Iron Joe, Flinchy)'s mate. Barely in the story, but I thought she should be added.

Like her surname, she is open and bright most of the time. Also other times she can be dark or cloudy...yeah, time to stop with the sky analogies.

She and Joe have a pup on the same day Timon is born. They name her Swifty.

The daughter of Joe(y) and his mate Sky. Born on the same day as Timon.

Swifty was aptly-named. She tends to do practicly everything - even speak - as if she downed three double-mocha espressos. She is also super chipper and likes to make new friends. To some she is just lovely, to others...it takes a while to get used to her constant "swiftness".

Later on in her life she marries a meerkat named Bryor and they have a daughter and name her Swift. (She is not as exhuberent as her mother)

Though she technically first appeared in the last chapter of SSF, her most prominent role so far is in Myla Alone. So I'm going to put a link to that.

Mother of Mel, grandmother of Max and Leo, great-grandmother of Timon, and widow of the fearless Buzz.
We did not get to spend much time with her, but Tanya was a good mother and grandmother. She was also always willing to help people, and tell long stories about her beloved brave mate.
