Birthday: August, 18th 2001

Angel is Zira & Scars lost son, he was born soon before Simba's return to the Pridelands & like that is littermate with Vitani (what makes him slightly older then Kovu), Nuka being his older brother.
However he was kidnapped by a group of wilddogs, when Zira & her lionesses were out hunting. So, with Nuka being the dissapointment to his parents he was, Zira & Scar decided to adopt Kovu, so to have a proper heir, whom they took from another lioness. (In my presonal theory of the relationships Kovu is neighter related to Scar nor Zira, but was taken away from his real mother as an infant, by Zira & Scar)

The wilddogs carried Angel far away, being afraid of the lionesses, they stole the cub from, coming after them. The wilddogs, still not having killed the infant, ended up in another pride, where a large lion, the other pride's king, stopped them, making them drop the little cub.

The lion took the lost cub to his own den & there the lions of the pride decided to adopt it.
The infant cub was still so little & also the lion's mate had lost one cub of her own litter not long before.
So, Angel grew up not having a clue who his real parents were.

After Angel had grown a young adult, he decided to leave his home pride, since it was his older brother who'd inherit the throne.
Angel so deciding to become a rogue, see the world & gain knowledge, before maybe one day returning to help his older brother ruling the pride.

Like that, he now wanderers around, searching for new things to discover & adventures to dare. As well as following the strange urge driving him to the Pridelands, which seem so very oddly familiar to him, while the same time, he does not know why.

He acctually looks nearly the same as his father, Scar & even their voices sound very alike, still his character is a very different one. He is a rather friendly & open minded young lad, still he is not to be underestimated, for he certainly knows how to manipulate another into doing the things he wants them to do, he is clever & usually keeps from physical fights, but get's his problems solved with words.

Of couse nor Scar neighter Zira, Vitani, his sister or Nuka, his older brother have any clue of his existance.
In their eyes he was killed by the wilddogs as an infant cub.

(Baal-moong)

- Lust -

There once was a bull, a mighty bull powerful & strong. He soon managed to fight all the other bulls away & all cows were his. He loved the cows, each of them, for the lust kept driving him forward.
He did not sleep, he did not eat, he did not drink, all he did was fight away the bulls who were foolish enough to try to challenge him & if he wasn't fighting, he loved his cows, each of them.
He would not share & he would not realice that all the cows were too much for him to take, even him, the mightiest bull of them all.
Yet, there is a reason why there is not just one bull to have all cows & the mighty bull learned why.
He loved his cows, each of them, but he grew weak & sick & he died, died becouse he would not realice that there was a reason one couldn't love all.

Black Plague is a Shinigami, a Death God, that is! He's a lower servent of the godesses, serving Krolock as his Captain of Shinigami!

The Shinigami basicly are shadows, leading the souls of those dead away to their next destination, namely heavens or the pains of hell & if the souls don't want to go, the shinigami're also known to force them!

Black Plague isn't a bad spirit, it's just that a shinigami can be abused, which is what Spider does with the help of Silent! Makng the shinigami believe they'd need to take a soul they actually don't need to take, which, of course, means the victim's death, once his soul is taken!

Black Plague himself is a silent & dull person, he hardly talks, but what he says is well thought-through, he's one of the most deadly Shinigami, no soul he hunted ever managed to escape!
Yet, he also hold a deep sadness within him, always seeking for the true reason of existance & the constant struggle of the mortals. Since, in his eyes, it all makes no sense at all, as all of them will die, sooner or later & be forgotten!

(D-ah-mah-i) - "Peace"

Damai, who's name means 'peace', is acctually a rather normal young lioness, sensitive & peaceful in heart, yet she easiely can be insulted or scared, she also has a special gift, a 6th sense, given to her by the godess Siena, which makes her able to see into the future, the past & the present!

Becourse of this she also was exiled from her pride, as she foresaw a horrible bushfire, her pride-mates giving her the guilt for it & chased her out of their territory!

Her mother died at her birth, her father soon afterwards was fataly wounded & chased off by a lion who wanted to take over the pride.
Lucky enough, the new male didn't kill Damai, but allowed the orphaned female to stay in the pride, even if she soon became much of an outsider!

For a long time she was wandering around by herself, until she one day met the young lions, Yao & Sasha ! :-)
In them she found new & true friends!
She also helps Yao find out more about his origin & family, with the help of her 6th sense!

(Dah-r) - "House"

A ridiculously clever fellow is Dar, raised by humans he knows many things other nergals don't, he's a most charismatic fellow, despite his many personality faults. He's sarcastic & can be savagly cruel with words, but the same time knows just exactly when to say what, to get what he wants & Dar always get's what he wants, in the end. He has a most enchanting sense of humour, it's a fiest talking to him, if he isn't making you feel like the very last idiot, that is. Nobody manipulates others just like he does. He cares little about others & what they think of him, might it be bad or good. He needs no praise, for he knows he's one of the best & he needs no other nergals eighter, or at least, that is what he tries to convince himself of.
Dar was taken from his mother by humans, when he was an infant & raised by them. He traveled & hunted with a beduin tribe for long years, learning very much, becouse knowledge is what he desires most. When his master, a wise old man who had known of his extraordinary cleverness & therefore also helped him learn, died the beduins fulfilled the old man's wish & set Dar free. He then travelled for a long time, which he basicly still does, in his seek for gaining knowledge. Other nergals sometimes call for him, if they are stuck with a problem & if they're lucky & the problem is interesting enough, Dar might even help. Other than that, he mostly keeps to himself & his life as a nomad, but not minding occassionaly bumping into others.

He indeed knows how to enjoy himself & live a carefree life, he might be much of a sarcastic fellow, but knows when it's enough.
To his friends he is loyal & loving, to his enemies he's polite, but distant.
Some say he's also somewhat arrogant & a bit egoistic, what actually might be true, but he really also has a very warm heart.

He's eighter a white Nile Crocodile or a Chinese Lion (also knows as Fu Dog)
Now, why to use a character from a novel by Charles Dickens as persona? Simply becouse he's much like me. My friends always said if I was to be an Oliver Twist Character, I'd be The Artful Dodger.
Besides I love that novel & most movies made of it (tobe honest, I don't really like the Disney Cartoon with the kitten couse it confuses the whole story in it's context, in my eyes), already read it in german & english, as well as I saw a bunch of movies, so yeah, you can call me a fan.
Anyways, back to The Artful Dodger or Dodger, for short, he's a sneaky, cheeky guy, who can be nice but always looks on himself first. Still he also can be a very faithful friend if you manage to find a place in his heart, he loves to break rules & mock others, no matter if they're taller or smaller then him.

My Persona's Reference Sheet: Dodger

Erik, based on The Phantom of the Opera, a gorgeours book, musical & movie!

Erik is one of the few Manticore that survived the distruction of their Pride, when King Spider attacked, Erik was still a young cub.
His parents were killed by Spider's lions, who found the cub & began to toy around with it, like a cat plays with a mouse before killing it! They badly wounded him, but worse of all the right half of his face was destroyed, really not leaving much of it!
They left the cub to die, but Erik was found by a couple of stray lions, living kinda like gypsies, who took the disfigured cub with them, to show it around & get meat in return!
So Erik grew up believing he was a monster, since all the lions he was showed to screamed & gasped at his scarred & disfigured face!
One day, finally, he managed to run off, escaping into the desert, where the gypsy-lions didn't follow, for they didn't want to risk their life for nothing but some ugly cub!

Erik indeed nearly found his death, if he hadn't been found by a couple of Faroul, who brought him to their city, there he also was given the mask he now wears to hide his scars!
The Faroul hoped they would help Erik like that, but his soul already had been tortured far too much, it never would heal again!

He's obsessed by the thought of beauty, as well as he's really a very hot-tempered & jelouse guy, also, he's really posessive about the things dear to him!

Mamba's younger sister, her name meaning 'King'.
She's the head-huntress of Spider's Pride & also does deserve this position for her indeed incredible hunting skills!

She actually grows up quite much as a spoiled little princess, as her father, Spider, really loves her with great passion & also takes much pride within her, as she's such a great huntress!

However, Eupe is just half as spoiled as she might want her father to believe! She actually is a sly & witty feline, realicing all too well about the kind kind of politics her father is using, while infront of him pretanding to just be daddy's girl & adore everything he does!

She secretly teams up with Sasha & helps him to his escape, as well as she's having a bit of a silent revolution from inside, without her father noticing!

Fang is a truely fierce Roan Antelope, her calves can be lucky to have her for their mother, for there's rarely a predator she fears!
She tends to simply attack, before running, using her body's weight, hooves & horns as her main weapons!

Eventhough she's quite a rough nature, she also has a very motherly & caring side, which especially shows around her calves, but also other animals in need!

Her right horn is shorter than her left, as well as there's a large limp of her right ear missing, along with several scars on this side of her face, all mainly from predators' attacks.

Here we got Fawn, who's a leopon, meaning he's half a lion, half a leopard!

He is Fiore's Captain & does his job very well & with great passion, he loves fighting & especially winning! The more blood is in a fight the more Fawn enjoys it, he has a special hatred for Sasha, simply becoures he dared running off, which makes him a coward in Fawn's eyes! Fawn also has a slight problem with authority, the only ones he truely respects are Fiore & Spider.

He's great devoted to Fiore, becoure it was him, who saved young Fawn from a pride of young males who greatly harassed & mistreated him in the most horrid ways!
Already Fawn's mother had been captured by the males, who had overpowered the leopardess, using her as their personal slave & ventile for all kinds of frustrations of a young male! She so also ended up giving birth to cubs, which, of course, were mixed breeds of leopard & lion, Fawn being the only to survive!
When he was barely old enough, Fawn's mother died from the contant abuse, what turned the males' attention to Fawn, who from then on was their little toy, that is, until Fiore arrived & saved him!

However, Fawn greatly has suffered, also mentally, something that never'll heal again & so, most proboply, also is the reason for his most fierce & agressive nature!

(Phi-yoh-reh) - "Flower"

Fiore, who's name means 'Flower', was the first born son of the royal couple of a Manticore's pride, terribly enough, it turned out that his wings weren't white, like usually a Manticore's wings are, but black!
An old legend tells, that a Manticore born with black wings, is an offspring of an dishonest tear the godess Mwesi cried at her mate's death & therefore the Manticore posessing black wings, also once will be dishonest & betray his people!

Even if his parents tried their best to hide this tale from Fiore, as well as trieng to convince the others that it was, in fact, just a tale, Fiore very well knew how he always was watched, how the others & even his parents, just waited for him to betray them, as they believed this was his only fate!

When Fiore then became an adolescent, the pride was haunted by a terrible, demonic creature, which brought death & misery at night, while during the day vanishing into the desert.
Fiore still wanted to prove his honest & loyal nature, which caused him to one day go & fight this demonic beast!

But, no matter how much passion Fiore had, no matter how hard he faught, he lost, gravely wounded left to die in the desert!
Already seeing himself doomed, he ended with his life, afterall, the others had been right, he was a failure!

However, it wasn't his end yet, for he awoke again, seeing that he had been saved, by King Spider, who almost magicly had tended his deadly wound & even gave him a new leg!

Fiore felt more than grateful & sweared his eternal loyality to Spider, which Spider greatly accepted, Fiore soon becoming his general!

It finally was Fiore, who lead the attack on his own former pride, which killed almost any of them, however, when Fiore went to finish of the royal family, his parents, he found his mother, who begged him to care for their infant cub, she said he wouldn't even have to tell the cub about all this, but only leave him to live, as he was still so very innocent & young!

Fiore promised & finished of his mother, however, as he always did, he kept his word & raised the cub, Yao, still only until he was barely old enough, then Fiore faked an attack of Spider's lions, leaving Yao in the believe to be dead, while actually returning to serve Spider, afterall, Fiore always kept his word!

(Gee-zah) - "Darkness"

Giza is a meerkat with an ego & mouth twice his size, he's loud, he's pompos, he's fierce, he's stubborn & he has one terrible temper! He once found out it startles others, including predators, to be attacked so very straightly & so, that's what he does!

He has a colony, but mostly lives somewhat away from the rest of his clan, he himself doesn't really know why, besides that, he also found a friend in the same shaman as Jamili, Giza also being one of his 'spirit animals'.

Howl's a Shinigami, a Death God, that is! He's a lower servent of the godesses & Mad Hatter's Captain of Shinigami, which makes him the highest ranked Shinigami, as Mad Hatter is the highest ranked upon the 5 Demons!

Howl is a charismatic being with a big heart & cunning nature! He's a very noble spirit & tries to follow the ancient rules of Life & Death as good as he can! Therefore, he also doesn't get along well with Snake of Eden, as Eden sees his job more likely as a fun buisness & the mortals as some kind of toys, while Howl takes the whole thing rather serious & respected the mortals greatly!

To him the thought of knowing every day you somehow grow older & weaker, just to one day vanish is a terrible thing & he really his greatly impressed how most mortals can cope with this thought always present to them & even achive such great things, as they do!

As said, he's an almost ridicolously clever creature, it's indeed very hard to out-witt him, his greatest fault is his proud nature, which rather easiely can be hurt & ends him up acting quite the drama-queen!

Jamili was raised the usual way for a wild dog, yet, soon discovered that the usual ways of a adult wild dog, weren't that much for her, so, she left her clan & began to wander by herself, she then met a bunch of other clans, along with some rogue males, even having several litters & raising them quite successfully, yet, she never started a clan with any of her mates, instead she kept being restless, wandering from clan to clan, at times, even adopting pups that had lost their parents or were abandoned in some other way, she's always been quite a mother!
On her many journeys she more than once met a human shaman, who was living by himself in the savannah, people just sometimes coming to him for various reasons, including fortune telling & this he usually did by asking the animal spirits, Jamili soon becoming his very favourite 'spirit'! To get to 'ask' her questions, he sometimes gave her food, Jamili at first, of course, staying very suspecious about the whole thing, but after a while, she began to trust the shaman, even allowing him to touch her, while she ate & so she got her necklace, which is a gift from the shaman to his 'personal spirit', whom she still visits, when she's around, afterall, food for free, who'd say no to that?!
Besides that, she still travels from clan to clan, mainly as a storyteller, becourse, well, she knows a lot, as well as to lend a paw or jaw, if needed!

Once upon a time a cheetress gave birth to twin-brothers, yet, there only was one body & so the brothers had to share it!

Jekyll is a shy & gentle soul, he's very understanding & tries to solve problems with words instead of violence, his greatest desire is to be accepted as the one he is & not to be rejected every time, just becourse he doesn't fit quite in.
Hyde, on the other hand, is a out-spoken person, he's of a fierce, untamable nature, his mind isn't quite on the right place, meaning he has indeed sick fantasies, which he isn't afraid to make come true! He enjoys seeing others suffer, especially those who make his brother sad, not realicing his own actions are those making Jekyll the outsider he is!

Just once they found a cheetress who loved Jekyll just the way he was, even calming down Hyde enough, so he wouldn't show up anymore, as long as Jekyll was with her! Yet, the cheetress was killed, by lions as he hunted in their territory, making Jekyll's heart break with sorrow & Hyde's burn with rage & hate!

Kenji, a cheetah who is more than the eye might see! ;)
There isn't much known about him, some say he is a demon, a dark spirit, a fallen angel, nobody really knows where he actually came from!

He's a very proud, large male & afraid of nothing, at all! He posesses a noble spirit & hell of an aittude, as well as a sly & quick mind, as well as he can be a deadly & mercyless warrior if needed!

He's an old friend of Fiore & owns a territory near Spider's Pride, however, Fiore keeps any of his lions out of Kenji's lands, for in his eyes he owes this to Kenji for his loyal friendship, back when they were young.
It's also Kenji's lands where Fang, Lorelei, Leland & Nino can be found, sometimes even teaming up with Kenji to fight intruders off their lands or aid eachother in other situations.

Krimhild is the adoptive daughter of Willow & Ocean.
She was born in your average Pride, but lost contact to them, as a cub, during a fire, where she ran in panic, compleatly losing her way & not being able to find the other lions again.

She then stumbled into Willow, Ocean & the cubs, who first tried helping her find her own Pride again, but without much success, which ended Krimhild up staying with them instead.

She's a kind, shy & not too talkative lioness. She tends to be very motherly & easiely feels responsible for others, especially her 'younger siblings', Merlin, Guiniever, Tristan & Isolde, whom she often helps out of troublesome situation they got themselves into.

She is about 3 months older than Willow & Ocean's 'real' cubs, therefore seeing herself as the 'big sister'.

- Gluttony -

Once there was an elephant bull, who cared little about females & less about fighting other males for them. What the elephant bull enjoyed most in the world, was the taste of food.
He did not care about other elephants, he did not even care about himself, all he wanted was to eat the finest food & preferably all of it.

The elephant one day found out that it were the humans, who had the best food & he did ignore all other elephants, who warned him to not go to near to the humans, for they were dangerous. The elephant said he was big & strong & those tiny humans would not be able to harm him, but he had to get their most delicious food.
The other elephants begged for him to stay, but he would not listen, all he wanted was the humans' food.

So he went to the place were the humans lived & he took all their food & indeed, the humans could not fight him. Again & again he went there & took all their food & ignored the other elephants, who said that humans would learn & soon would fight him.

The elephant bull did not care, all he wanted was there delicious food & so he went to the place were the humans lived again, but this time the humans had learned & the fought him, with blades of iron & flames & they killed the elephant, becouse gluttony had made him become too daring.

Laru was born in a privat zoo in africa, but his father, who had been captured from freedom never came over this & so one day he & his mate (a tigress) decided to flee! While they ran off Laru's father was shot, but told his mate to run ahead, for giving their unborn cubs the free life he always wished them to have! So she managed to escape & gave birth to 3 cubs, pity one died in an hyena attack, non the less Laru & his sister grew up with the help of their mother & by reaching adolesence they left her, finding lives for their own.

Laru soon afterwards met Pilgrim, after losing his way in the desert & almost dieng of dihydration! It was her who brought him to the Nergal's City & so saved his life!
Eversince the two of them travel together, coming around a lot.

Laru posessed a heart of gold & even if he's a truely giant brute, being a liger, he's a most gentle & understanding male, with a great sense of humour.

Leland & Lorelei, my lovely wildebeast couple! :)

They love eachother greatly & since very long time already, having had several calves, however, they're a bit of two vagabounds, never staying with one herd for too long!

They're both very good friends with Fang & Nino, often to be found feeding together or building a little 'temporary herd'.

While Leland is a huge & massive brute, he also is a very calm & layed back bull, he is a very good listener & also often has wise advices to give, the only thing that really turns him into a fierce beast, is when Lorelei gets into danger, for he loves her more than his own life.

Lorelei on the other hand is quite a small & delicate cow, yet, also very into chatting & talking in general! She's interested into, well, everything & always has a comment to give!
She also tends to get nervous quite easiely & often is scared by new things, while the same time very curious!
She, like Fang, also is a very caring & loving mother, often having a hard time to let her calves go, once they've grown up, as well as it's very easy for her to get motherly feelings for, well, everyone!

- Pride -

Once there was a lioness, far more beautiful than all other lioness & all males were devoted to no lioness, but her. The other lionesses asked her for help, of how they also could become so very beautiful, but the lioness was proud & pride made her laugh at the other lionesses, telling them they never could be as beautiful as her.

The lionesses loved all the males & they loved her, but their love for the lioness clouded the lions' senses & they wanted her, nothing but her. They came upon her, ignoring her screams, harrassing her, raping her in the most cruel was, becouse each of them wanted her for himself.

The lioness called for help, but none of the other lionesses came, they were angry & hurt, by her pride.
The beautiful lioness so died, drowning in her own blood & the dark shadows surrounding her, she realiced that none of the males had ever loved her & the lioness' soul fell into the darkness & from her torn & abused body the demoness was born.
Filled with the rage she killed them, dancing on their dead bodies, however still she wished nothing but to be loved & give love in return!

So the godesses took pity in her & made her the mistress of the seven sacred demons, leading souls, so the sins that drew them to misery, won't be able to be successful, again.

(Mah-m-bah) - "Crocodile"

Mamba his Spider's oldest son. He's supposed to one day become Spider's heir!

He also was promised a lioness by his father, whom he loves, as well as she did love him, however, shortly before they were able to wed, Spider changed his mind & instead took the young lioness for himself!

While Mamba formerly always had thought greatly of his father & was keen to make him proud, since he had the honour of being his heir, this event somewhat cracked Mamba's view on his father!

He still fights alongside Spider, though, hoping for his father to once more change his mind & allow the two lovers coming together, even if with every day passing, Mamba doubts it more, which finally leads him to some drastic desicions!

He 'owns' two lionesses by the names of Rosenkranz & Guldenstern, who do most of the hunting for him. If he chooses to hunt, he usually covers himself in dirt of some kind, so his white coat won't hinder him that much.

Once there was a jackal, a small & shaby creature, but he was devotedly in love with the most beautiful lioness there was & greed made him want her, her alone.

He followed her everywhere, but the lioness would not have him, for a shaby jackal was not ment for the proud female, yet, the greedy jackal would not stop & no matter how hard she beat him or how cruel she would threat him, he stayed.

When the beautiful lioness was killed by all the lions, that had wanted her, it was only the jackal, who tried to fight for her, but the lions quickly broke his spine. Yet, after the males had left, the jackal crawled back to the lioness, barely alive, but still, now he finally had her for his own!

He rested at her side & when the maggots came to feed on her dead body, he did not move, but also let the maggots feed on him alive, for he was with the most beautiful lioness now & she was his.

Mwesi & Jua are the godesses most of my chars believe in, they represent Night & Day, non of them is said to be the good or the bad one, though!
Jua, however, is known to be more in touch with the mortals, also trading with them at times, while Mwesi is more of a shy nature, just rarely showing herself to a few chosen ones!

Mwesi:
Godess of darkness, night water & Death! Daughter of Light & Dark! She is able to show herself in evry form she desires, yet, prefers a feline one. Her offsprings are the S'Xela, which came to exist when the tears she cried for her mate, whom she exidently killed, touched the ground! At night you might spot her returning stars to the sky, after they fell down!

Godess of light, day, fire & birth! Like her twin, Mwesi, she's able to take every shape she desires, yet mostly choses a feline form! Twice a day she sings to make the sun rise or set! It's said that her song is beautyful beyond every mortal's imagination, yet, if you dare watching her perform, it will be the last thing you see!

(Nee-noh)

Nino, a young, solitary zebra stallion, who's stripes never developed into black.
He left his heard once he grew up, as he wasn't fond of always staying inside his father's shadow, as well as he was too impatient to actually wait for his father growing old & himself strong enough to defeat him!

Nino so wandered off, for a while just rouming the lands, from time to time nicking himself a pretty mare, who couldn't resist his indeed very charming & charismatic nature, however, hardly ever challenging any other stallions, he more likely left, once they noticed.

He then met up with Fang, who soon became his best friend, along with Leland & Lorelei, who's little patchwork herd, located in Kenji's territory, he joined.

He thinks very high of Kenji, as in his eyes, he's one of the few predetors you actually can talk to, as well as he does believe him to be a very wise & noble person, who certainly deserves his respect.

The only time he doesnt respect Kenji, is when Fang or Lorelei are having calves, as he also sees it as his duty to protect the little ones, then!

She's Willow's mate & love. The only one able to tame him & his restless spirit. They have 4 cubs together (Merlin, Tristan, Guiniver, Isolde)
Ocean is a loving & patient mother, there is hardly anything that will make her lose her temper. However, she also posesses a cunning soul & brave spirit. She is the allegory of a mother, you could say.
She embodies the Virtue of Temperance.

Birthday: January, 16th 2002

The pride were Paradise was born, was taken over by a new male shortly after her birth, her mother tried her best to hide her litter from the new male, yet, all cubs, except Paradise, who had been hiding seperatly, got killed!

Sadly enough, her mother thought all were dead & never returned, it was then that a Massai warrior found the abandoned, starving cub & took her with him. His village was shocked, at first, but after some discussion, they allowed him to keep the cub, as he asured them it had been a gift from the gods!

The warrior's wife was even willing to nurse the cub together with her own children & so she did, Paradise soon becoming a beautyful lioness!

She learned to hunt for herself or even help her human friends, yet, never did she touch their cattle! She lives freely & can go wherever she wants, yet, she always glady visits her human friends or helps them hunt during the dry season, as she knows they are part of her family, as much as she's part of their's!

Pilgrim grew up with her grandpartents, who're both Nergal & therefore also taught her in their ways.

She's a very wise lioness & eventhough she doesn't posess any magic of her own, she knows how to call the gods & demons, as well as making them do what she asks them to.

She also often is known to help others to talk to the gods, by taking requests of calling them for others, which she also already did for Spider, it's also her who's the reason for Fiore getting his new leg, by one of the demons.

She's travelling a lot & always with her faithful companion Laru, who helps her with her ceremonies & also is somewhat of her bodyguard, if needed.

As she gets around a lot, she also is a skilled story-teller, which she also enjoys greatly, often hiding messages within her tales.

Long ago there was a prince, who was in love with the Queen of another Pride! It was forbidden to love this lioness, but still, he did! Also she felt for him, but both knew that their love must not be discovered! So they met & loved eachother in secret!

One day the father of the prince cought sight of his son's forbidden love & he became furious! He banned his son for his deed & told him he would never become king! This angered the young lion, for he knew he was to become king! He had been born to become king! A far better king than his father ever would be!

He ignored his lover's plea to leave together with her & start a new life, all he wanted was to rule his Pride & maybe lots more! So he went to fight his father, his lover feared for her mate & turned to stand between father & son, but the prince was full of wrath, he saw nothing else than revange & as the lioness refused to leave, he attacked her & wounded her gravely, not even realicing what he had done!
His father, older & stronger than the young male, won the following fight, the king having to kill his own son, for the prince refused to give up, even as he saw he had no chance! All he did was hate & filled with hate he died!

It was just then, in the pits were all the dead souls go to be cleaned again, that he realiced what he had done! He had killed his only reason to life! He had killed his love, the one who had ment everything to him!
Despair now filled his furious heart & his blackened soul arose from the eternal pits, reborn as a demon.

Sasha was born & grew up in Spider's Pride! He was born into the lowest class & therefore had to learn being a gladiator, hunter or simply a killer & soldier!

Being orphaned, like many cubs of the lowest class, he grew up in a special 'school' for cubs, where one low-classed lioness cared for all cubs from different litters, however she also has to 'serve' the higher classed males whenever they wished to!

Sasha's 'aunt' was killed during one of these 'amusements', right infront of his & the other cubs' eyes, which made Sasha start to doubt that the life they lived was good, since the male got no punishment at all!

Sasha, however, hid his rebelic spirit, instead he learned how to fight & kill by one of the older lion-gladiators who had become his master & secretly shared his idea of a better life!

One day, during a fight, Sasha then took his chance & escaped, he being the first gladiator daring this & surviving!
However, Spider, sly as he is, soon began telling the others lies about Sasha, also killing his master & claiming him to be nothing but an old fool telling stories, so, soon Sasha had become the 'bad guy', hated by those he wanted to help!

When getting to know this, Sasha was both, angered & frustrated! He couldn't believe how the other lions could be foolish enough to believe all that Spider told them, greatly dissapointed he so decided they weren't worth it & began a life as a rogue, later he met Yao & joined him on his journey, they soon becoming best friends!

Unknown to both there was far more connecting them, as well as Sasha still hadn't forgotten about his old Pride, deep inside still hoping to free them!

Once there was a lion, who was lazy & filled with sloth. He was the prince of a great pride, but little did he care.
When his father did, little did he care & it did not take long, until lions came to claim the pride, knowing how little the new king did care.

His lionesses pleaded for him to fight, for he was big & strong, but little did he care. So, it were the lionesses who went to fight, killed by the invading lions, one after the other, but little did he care.

The invading lions came for him, but he did not move & they killed him, but little did he care, for he was even too lazy to care.

Shaman is a wise hyena, who travelled a lot during his days & ended up settling down in Spider's Pride, where he's tolerated, as he's somewhat of a, well, shaman to Spider!

Like Pilgrim he posesses the ability to call for spirits & make them obey him, however, he has even greater abilities in this buisness than Pilgrim, yet, the creatures he mostly summons are Shinigami, shadow creatures which're also known as Death Gods.
Even if they are a rank lower than the demons Pilgrim calls, they more likely obey Shaman & do what he wants them to do, as well as they're far more agressive, as the demons usually avoid to pick any side!

It isn't known why Shaman is loyal to Spider, it seems he knows far more than most others do about the dark King!

- Jelousy -

The last demon, personally picked by Mad Hatter.
She fished him out of the pool of souls, becouse she was so very fond of his tortured spirit.

Way back, he used to be a hyena, deeply in love with the alpha female of his clan, but never becoming her mate, yet, he didn't care, but only served her devotedly. He died saving the clan's cubs from attacking lions, when the others had long run away & therefore, he became an angel.

He guarded his lover, that is, until she found a mate & began forgetting about him, this made him get jealous & so, he did what no angel is allowed to do, but killed her lover's mate, their cubs, the whole clan & finally, after having forced himself upon the female, her.

This made the godesses mad & so, they ripped off his wings, whipped him, broke his halo & threw him down from the heavenly realms, so he'd rott forever as a tortured soul in the pool of souls, suffering for his sins.

Yet, Mad Hatter found his soul between all the others, hearing his cries, which were more desperate & longing than all others & so, she chose to return his soul from the pool & make him one of her demons instead, the Sin of Jelousy, becouse all his misery had been coused by nothing, but this.

That's why he's somewhat of her spawn, she also loves him very much, becouse she enjoys how tortured & innerly eaten by jelousy he is.

Birthday: May, 15th 2006

Silent is a male cheetah, he is an albino & therefore has no spots, at least no visible ones, all markings he has are the tearmarks & two spots upon his eyes in a creme colour! His eyes're a solid red & his fur is also a very light creme shade!

He never was accepted fully by his mother, who took care of him, yet, treated him as a child of second class, favouring his 2 normal coloured brothers! His mother didn't even give him a name, actually she never even really spoke to him, but more or less ignored him!
However, he grew up a young adult & left his mother, but while his brothers decided to hunt together, they chased him away & so he had to live by his own!
He one day saved a snake by the name of Sorrow, who was very grateful & decided to take the young cheetah under her wing for a little while, showing him some important things & also gave him his name, Silent, for he doesn't speak very much at all!

He's a tall & handsome stranger, like a white shadow, he doesn't talk much & also prefers to stay by his own, yet, he also is quite wise for his age! He has a bit of a poetic spirit & features in many legends, along with Sorrow!

Snake of Eden is Priest's Captain of Shinigami!
He's handsome, charming, charismatic & more than deadly!

He greatly enjoys the hunt for souls, often playing with his victims & actually not really caring if it is the soul's time just yet or not!
That's also why he's Shaman's favourite Shinigami to call, as he doesn't need very much convincing to be set onto a hunt!

It's also him who terrorizes the S'Xela's Pride, which in the end courses Fiore to lose his leg, when trieng to fight him!

Birthday: January, 26th 2003

Sorrow, the cobra, is a snake of many talents! She's wise & has seen much in her long life, she's of a gentle spirit & always has an advice to give.

Therefore she's also greatly praised & features in many legends, mostly together with the cheetah, Silent!

Silent saved Sorrow when she had gotten stuck, as a tree had died during a thunderstorm & the snake squished tightly between a falen branch & it's trunk! No animal dared to help her, no matter how much she pleaded, just a young cheetah of brilliant white shades finally aided her & saved her from a slow death!
Without a word & without any fear in his eyes, this impressed Sorrow & so she decided for the cheetah to become her student.

Stilga, who's a member of the ancient species of the nergal, is a funny & likeable fellow!
He sometimes might appear rather rough edged & even rude, yet, he has a good heart & loyal soul!

He's much of a nomade, without a real home, he just travels, living everywhere & nowhere the same time!
The desert is his most favourite place, as it's the desert he'd call his home, if he'd be asked! He also knows very much, as he has gotten around, he's somewhat streetwise & seems to find a way out of every situation, no matter how stuck you might seem!

He's a exellent hunter & skilled guide, if you ask nicely, he even would be able to lead you to placed you wouldn't even have believed they existed!

He saves Yao during his journey through the desert.

Sue is, in fact, a stallion, yet his father was a lad of a most cruel humour & therefore, named his son Sue, before leaving mother & foal!

Sue is certainly one tough guy, he's got quite a stocky built, for a giraffe that is, as well as quite a temper! He's best friend with Fang since a very long time & wouldn't it be for them being of two so very different species, they certainly would've become mates!

Sue still hates his father with a passion, as he had had to endure many mocking & teasing by the other young stallions & eventhough he one as good as every fight they picked, his deepest desire is still to find his father & give him one hell of a beat-up for giving him that kind of a name!

He, by the way, is also a meber of the little patchwork-herd living i Kenji's territory!

Habitat:

The common habitat of the Manticore are rocky landscapes, mountains or areas providing cliffs, large trees or other higher places where they prefer to buy their nests on. They also can be found in the savannah, just rarely they travel into wide open areas, like the desert or the coast & ocean.

Size & Features:

The common Manticore is about the size of an african lion, sometimes also a bit taller, males are, in general, larger than females.

Males have full manes, females also have small manes growing down their neck, both genders have wings, which can be sprouted at will, along with fatally toxic spikes on the back of their tail, which they raise when feeling threatened.

Their coat is not made of fur, but made of very soft, small feathers, which give an almost fur-like appearance, they also hatch from eggs, eventhough they're mammals, almost like the platypus. Their tails are very large & covered in long, soft feathers, it's used to help keeping balance during flight!

Young animals can't fly from birth, their wings & muscles still must grow, a young manticore is able to fly at about the age of a year!

Behaviour:

They are highly social predetors, which can reach about a human's intelectual level, it's said that they are even able to speak in human tongue, if needed! A rare talent is the ability to turn into an almost human shape for disguise. They usually live in prides or small families, young individuals also sometimes choose to spend some time as rogues, however, not only males, but also females equally decide to wander about.

They prefer not to fight, but get problems solved another way, when cornered they usually also prefer to flea, than to fight, however, a furious manticore is nothing one mightwant to meet! They also can be fierce & deadly fast fighters, if forced to.

Hunting:

The common hunting technique for a manticore is similar to a lions, eventhough, they also often hunt from the above. Hiding in a tree or on another high place, they wait for a fitting prey to pass by, then they attack from above, grab the prey, gain height with it, just to drop it from great height, which, of course, has the desired effect of killing the prey. Sometimes they also decide to simply chase prey from above, without using any kind of shelter first!

However, just grown, healthy manticores can carry about 3 times their own weight & so use this hunting technique properly, as well as it needs a lot of practice & skills.

Younger individuals just hunt smaller animals like this, for larger prey they use the common way of killing by biting the prey's throat, after wrestling it down!

Habitat:

The Nergal can basicly be found in every desert, where they eighter live in groups or solitary, mostly depanding on the size of the territory they're able to claim & the sources of food & water. Young nergal also often decide to wander, just becourse, sometimes staying solitary for the rest of their lives, sometimes joining another group, which is called a clan or finding a mate & living together with it as a couple.

They aren't very picky about their resistance, however, most Nergal clans prefer an old city, once built by humans, using the old houses as their dens, some also living in caves or around oasis, yet abandoned human villages seem to be their favourite place to stay. Those living out in the open, dig holes into the sand, once the sun becomes too hot, burieng themselves with sand afterwards & sleeping through the heat of the day, like this.

Nergal hardly can be found outside the desert, they rarely travel into the savannah lands or even further, mostly young Nergals go to explore these lands from time to time. However, they usually keep to the desert & the oasis in there.

Size & Features:

The common Nergal is about the size of a Welsh Pony, with very long, slender, but also sturdy built legs. Their body is also of aerodynamic features & very flexible, they are generally slim built, but by all means not without a certain substance to it all!

Their body is covered by a wirey, thick fur, the skin underneath it usually is very dark, the fur's colour itself reaching from gold, brown, sand, black to grey tones, white Nergal are very rare! Their markings can go from stripes to spots, patches to rather extravagant shapes, mostly a darker shade than the main coat's colour.

Their long tail is usually carried pretty high, their large ears are extreamly sensitive, making them able to find potential prey from great ditances or even below the sand's surface!

Both genders have a mane, eventhough females usually have a longer mane, often hanging down to one or both sides of their neck, while males usually just have a ridge up their neck, yet, some males also have long manes & same females also tend to shorter ones.

Most have a special liking for jewelery of all kinds, using them for body decoration, often stealing whatever they can find from humans travelling the desert or plundering abandoned houses, villages or other human settlements.

A most outstanding & important feature is the fact, that their eyes naturally glow from the inside, which mostly can be seen in darkness, that's why it's told that their eyes only glow when it's dark, which is not true, it's just you can't see the glow as much in daylight! Their eyes are a solid blue, iris, pupil & the whole body of the eyeball is shaded in different shades, all parts glowing with bioflurisence, a bit like the body of the firefly!

Behaviour:

Nergal are very intelligent predators, it is said that they even have their own tongue of sorts & that they are able to understand the human tongue, eventhough, they're physically unable to speak in words.

They are very curious, but the same time careful animals, they never approch before having checked their surroundings carefully! They are also of pretty much of a friendly nature, though, that's also why they actually can be tamed pretty easiely, if a cub is taken away from it's mother in a young enough age!

Being highly social, they try to solve problems without any means of violence, becourse nothing is more fatal than an injury in their inviroment, which also might be a reason for their complex way communication!

Hunting:

Nergal hunt with both, speed & stelth, depanding on the situation, becourse they simply can't afford to lose a prey! Becourse of that, they're also very thoughtful hunters.

Their prey reaches from all kinds of antelopes to camels, however, they also can't afford to be picky when no large prey can be found & so also won't spare any kind of rodent, reptile or occasionally smaller mammal, if times get rough! They also can life as a vegitarian for a while!

A very special strategy of them is to dig a whole & cover themselves with sand, waiting patiently for prey to come near enough, just to launch themselves from their shelter & right onto the prey!

A Nergal can survive for three weeks without water & for about three month with only little to no food!

Faroul-Day: May, 25th 2001

- Faith -

Willow is a legend, a fairytale, a good spirit told to guide others through hard times. He's the father of the Seven Virtues, counterparts of the Seven Sins, while he himself is Faith, son of Bravery & Love, brother of Responsibility & Kindness, nephew of Freedom.
Just few are blessed to be visited by him or a member of his family, though.

He was born long ago, the first of a litter of three & like that, ment to become heir of the pride. Yet, he never saw his talents in that, for he knew his brother, Birch, was a lot more capable for that sort of responsibility. His father, Oak & Willow fought many times over this, but his father stayed determinded to make Willow his heir, for it was what tradition told.

Willow then ran away, wanting to escape, but was found by his uncle, Clopin, whom he always had felt connected to most. His uncle finally managed to calm Willow's temper & talk him into it being a lot better & speak to his father, than running away.
When they returned, however, a bushfire had broken loose & Willow's father was still in it, trying to safe all animals he could.

Willow ran to aid him & found him stuck under a fallen tree, his father was truely impressed to find his son coming back, finally realising that bravery & responsibility didn't neccessariely mean to stick to tradtion, but also could be found, if you stayed true to your heart.
His father so begged Willow to go & safe the animals & Willow did, leading them out of the fire, however, when he returned, he only found his father dead.

He then left the pride to his brother, sister & their mates, knowing it was in good hands with them. Himself he went to find his fate & that alone, already was what he had been looking for. Going to help others, faithful & always true to his heart.

He's Willow & Ocean's first-born cub!
He has basicly the same markings as his father, as well as a white fur, just his mane & markings're shaded red as well as he has a little dot on his lip, he has blue eyes & the temper of his father & mother somehow combinied!
He loves having fun & sees the world always from the bright side, therefore he sometimes also tends to forget what his mind tells him, but just follows his daring spirit.

Guienever:
- Prudence -
She's a very pretty & feminine lioness, who knows how to get what she wants from a lion! She might seem a bit arrogant & treating others from above at first sight, as well as she often tries acting the most mature, which pity doesn't always work, however, she also is quite a kind soul & in the end, even enjoys her siblings', as she calls them 'stupid little adventures'.

Tristan:
- Justice -
He has a rather calm & somewhat dreamy nature, he always looks like he hasn't been sleeping for days, but non the less you can have great fun with him! He also is, in fact, the smartest of the four & the silent leader on Merlin's side, always getting his siblings out of trouble with his keen witts & responsible & well thought-trough nature!

Isolde:
- Hope -
She's the 4th & last cub of Willow & Ocean! Basiclly she's just a nice, intepandant girl who loves to have fun, sometimes this becoming quite a daring thing, too! She has a very good heart & always listens to people before judging upon them! Non the less she also can be rather firey tempered & then I wouldn't like tobe around her!
She usually is acompanied by Merlin, on her many troublesome adventures!

Fiore's old friend, one of the few manticore of Yao's pride that survived the attack of Spider's lions.

My Persona's Reference Sheet: Dodger

(Yah-oh) - "Sky"

Yao was born shortly before his pride was attacked & destroyed by King Spider. His mother managed to carry the infant cub into a secret cave with her last remaining powers, however, her older son, Fiore, who had chosen sides with the enmy, found her, desperatly she begged for him to take care of his little brother, as he was so very innocent & never had done anything to anyone! Fiore wouldn't even have to tell him that he was heir of the throne, all their mother wanted was for her youngest son to stay alive! Fiore was willing to do as she pleaded & knowing her older son never would break a promise, she allowed her older son to finish her off without any further defense!

Fiore so took little Yao & left with him, the cub later not rembering much of this night anymore, just faintly in dreams!
So Yao grew up with his older brother, who taught him everything he had to know, one day Fiore even introduced him to the wings Yao posessed! Yao, of course, didn't believe his brother at first, Fiore so simply tossed him off a cliff, out of instinct Yao sprouted his wings, saving him from death!

Just as Yao had properly learned how to sprout & vanish his wings, as well as all neccersary hunting techniques, however, still barely old enough to care for his own, Fiore got attacked by a group of lions from Spider's Pride, the result of the fight being Fiore's death!
Leaving young Yao confused & alone in a world he suddenly didn't quiet fit in anymore!

For a while Yao travelled all alone, until he met a young lion by the name of Sasha, both still being very young, yet full of live & mischiev, they soon teamed up & also became best friends.
Not really knowing there was more connecting them, than just a deep friendship!

Later on the two of them are joined by the yoing lioness Damai, who posesses a special gift & with it is one of the first to provide answer's to Yao's questions of who he is & why he is so different!
