Adopted from the awesome Saigon. Artemis is boisterous and playful, loves life and loves his two best friends, Ingo and Roko (my lion chars). Lost his parents after a hyena attack and was saved by Ingo and Roko who stumbled across him one night and took him in.

Yay for non-lion African animals!

Calina is from the Outlanders pride, and she grew up with Kufa and Khiva, Gopa and Ninga. She has a big crush on Kufa and hates Ninga for wanting to overtake Simba's pride and reclaim the Pridelands for Scar's heirs...

Djuma is who I would like to be Kovu's son. He has retained the original Lion King nose but he has darker features that show his line of descent from Scar. he starts off in life as care-free and happy as his younger brother Tamu, but tragic events mean his destiny takes a sudden turn..
He has kind of a spiky-ish mane, reminiscent of Kovu's.
After the accident where Djuma and Tamu both think Tali is dead, Djuma blames Tamu and tells his to flee the Pridelands forever as punishment. When Tamu eventually returns to the Pridelands as an adult, Djuma becomes increasingly jealous when he realises that Tali and Tamu are falling in love, despite never really showing an interest in Tali himself.
This new hatred for his brother is further fueled by Ninga, an old pridemate of the two Outlanders Kufa and Khiva, who follows K and K to the Pridelands when they return with Tamu. Djuma is smitten and believes everything she says against his brother...

Gopa was a childhood friend of Kufa and Khiva. Older than his two pals, he assumes responsibility for all of them. He is good-natured and accepts others for what they are. Because of his muscular body and size, he is an excellent hunter. His only downside is that he can be too trusting of people he doesn't know. He is the only lion who knows the secret about Kufa and Khiva's mother and how she wouldn't join up with Simba's pride along with the other Outlanders after Zira died.

Scar's son. I haven't really decided on the circumstances yet under which he was born - maybe he was born after Scar took over the throne, or maybe he would have been born anyway even if Mufasa had survived and Simba had grown up in the Pridelands and becom king when Mufasa died of old age. In any case, this is at least what I reckon Scar's potential offspring may have looked like ^^.
Ingo is a determined young lion who has inherited much of his father's features yet has a streak of white through his mane which may in fact symbolise his personal struggle with "good and evil" in that he is wanting to please Scar and become a powerful lion king yet he realises that there is more to the pride than his own personal ambition and in this context the white streak through his mane may reflect the goodness that lies deep in his heart, just waiting for the right moment to emerge and prove to others that he can be more than just "Scar's son".

Khiva is Kufa's younger brother and yes, there's a reason for all that "foofy fur" as TabbyKat so nicely puts it!! Khiva and Kufa's father was in fact an Asiatic lion, and these lions are much much furrier than their African cousins. So this characteristic has been reproduced in Khiva's physical make-up. Kufa is much less furrier though, suggesting he got his fur genes from their mother's side.
Khiva is very playful and always on the go, perhaps because he is so young. He is the one who convinces Gopa and Kufa to let Tamu stay with them. Despite his age and cutesy appearance, Khiva is not to be messed with, as he can explode into a fearsome ball of fur, razor-sharp teeth and claws when provoked. He eventually becomes one of the best hunters and protectors of the Pridelands when Tamu ascends to the throne. Don't judge a book by its cover, eh?

Kufa is one of three lions whom Tamu comes across when he is exiled from the Pridelands. Kufa, his brother Khiva, and their friend Gopa are searching for a place to start their own pride.
Kufa is generally the silent type, without much humour. He deeply regrets the fact that his mother was one of the Outlanders who never agreed to the new alliance between Pridelanders and Outlanders, (a secret he keeps from Tamu) and therefore is hesitant about returning to the Pridelands with Tamu. Kufa lacks self-confidence for this reason, but never shows it to anyone, which may make him seem unfriendly, although he is not if you give him a chance.

Ninga was generously created for me by Nika (go check out her artwork!) and is Djuma's love interest in my fanfic once Tamu returns to the Pridelands and Djuma realises that Tamu and Tali have fallen in love. Ninga is from Kufa and Khiva's old pride, i.e. the outlanders, and has discovered that her old pride mates have gone to Pride Rock. She is an ambitious and cunning lioness who is not altogether bad, but she does return to Pride Rock to stir up some trouble once she learns that that is where Kufa and Khiva have gone....

Roko is not part of my fan-fiction, he's just another character I created as a friend for Ingo and Uki.

He's based on the real colours from a real-life lion I have a photo of.

He's Ingo's best friend - boisterous, loud, care-free and has a rather clumsy habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But he's loved by all anyway because he's honest, trustworthy and loyal to his friends.

Tali is Djuma and Tamu's childhood pridemate. As a youngster she has a crush on Djuma but later falls in love with Tamu when he returns grown up to the Pridelands. It is not for sure who is Tali's mother.
Upon Tamu's return Tali plays a vital role in reconciliating the two brothers.

Tamu and his brother Djuma lead carefree lives in the pridelands with their friend Tali until one tragic day when Tamu causes an accident that leaves Tali dead (or sol they think). Djuma blames his brother and tells him to flee the Pridelands forever. Guilt-ridden, Tamu runs away only to bump into an unlikely bunch of rogue lions - Kufa, his younger brother Khiva and their pridemate Gopa. These lions have left the remaining Outlanders that refused to join the new alliance between Simba and Kovu, in the hope of being accepted into the Pridelands for a new life without war. Kufa is reluctant to reveal to Tamu their real identity as Outlanders and as a result almost decides not to let Tamu join them. Gopa eventually reminds Kufa that Tamu is in a similar position to themselves and that they should be more sympathetic. When Tamu finds out that they are hoping to join the Simba's pride, he finally finds the courage to face his past and return to the Pridelands.
