Name origin.: I chose this name, because he lives in the ocean. I changed his name from Tengesi(meaning Barracuda) to his original name again, since it fits him better.

Pride: Ocean's Underwater Pride

Story: Ocean has his own underwater pride with his mate Dima. They have a son called Vallin. All three of them have been given magical powers through their necklaces which has been heired through generations. Ocean's necklace symbols a crown and is the strongest of all. He uses it to protect his family and pride.

LeCoeurDeLaMer/Spot:

Name origin.: Very Titanic-inspired, she has a heartshaped blue diamond necklace like the one in the movie. Her name spot comes from the spots on her bandage.

Pride: Rudolph's Pride

Story: Was born Ghubari, that means "Heavy black cloud" and is the daugther of the pride leader Rudolph(pride description in Zitos descript.). Her mother usually says she got her fathers nose, which is also has a bluish color. Spot likes to be called either Spot or LeCoeurDeLaMer, but not Ghubari. She got the nichname Spot when she fell off a rock and had to put bandage on her left leg. The blood on the bandage made little red heart-shaped spots, and so she everyone started to call her Spot. The name LeCoeurDeLaMer, which (of course)means "The Heart of The Ocean", is a name she invented herself, when she found a blue shiny heart-shaped rock(diamond) that fell off a truck that passed by the jungle. It made her see a vision of herself and her true love, and became more isolated and locked inside herself because of her obsession of finding true love... Though it had never happened yet.
One of her friends are Zito, but she aren't really together with anyone anymore. She has been placed as the "weird" lion of the pride. Poor Spot.

Alex:

Name origin.: Was named by the person I adopted him from.

Story: Dunno yet...

Ana:

Name origin.: Her name is based on a girl from my old school, who actually acted like the way this character do.

Story: Sort of based on a real life person that annoyed me so much when I was in my old school. And here, as lion, she usually annoys Shila by trying to steal the guys that Shila likes. Ana is really really pretty, but one of the stupiest people you will ever meet, maybe exept for Paris Hilton! xP

Aren:

Name origin.: I thought he should have a name starting with "A" for air.

Symbols: Loyalty, trust and friendship

Story: Most animals of the Pridelands have faith in the Elements, but as time passes through, more animals are most likely to believe in the 'Great kings of past'. It's difficult for Aren to be a ruler of air, because after all, he is just a cub. He will never grow up, since he is already dead, and that makes him a bit sad sometimes, specially when he has no friends...
If you are born in the days of Aren(Autumm), you like to tease others, but still, you have a heart of gold. Take fx Lazy Hunters. Shila, Hoover and Ramonté are all born in the days of Aren, and they really love to tease others, and still they aren't bad lions. Animals born in the days of Aren, will be greeted by him, when they die...

Baka:

Name origin.: Baka is the Swahili name for "Spot". I named her that because she has a few spots.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: Baka is the beautiful daughter of Tyrania and Gala. She is not at all like her parents, Baka likes to hang aroung at home and are not very fond of going out on adventure.
As adult, Baka become a mate of Shila's son Razu, but after some time they're not together anymore, and Baka finds her true love in another pride.

Balia:

Name origin.: Balia means "Evil" in Swahili. I named her that because she may seem so innocent, but it's just an act.

Story: Balia and her pride is banished to the shadowslands by king Ahadi. She may seem nice, but she even is willing to destroy her own honor to get what she wants.

Chanua:

Name origin.: I believe she was named by the one I adopted her from. Her name means "flower" in Swahilli, which is logical since she has flower-markings.

Story:

Dagan:

Name origin.: I wanted something simple, yet original and close to the name "dragon".

Story: He is the brother of Shigan.

Danani:

Name origin.: I wanted something similar to the name Tanana(from Brother Bear), because I love that name.

Pride: Hugtand's Pride

Story: She lost her newborn baby, but instead of giving up, she adopted 3 other cubs which had lost affection. Those 3 cubs were Hoover, Ramonté and Shila. She takes good care of them.

Dima:

Name origin.: It was actually kinda random as long as it was pretty. I think I changed her name once, but now it's back to the original.

Pride: Ocean's Underwater Pride

Story: She is the mate of Ocean and the queen of his underwater pride. Her son is Vallin. She is a very tolerant and understanding person.

Eikowik:

Name origin.: I wanted a unique name starting with "E" as "earth".

Symbols: Happiness, faith and balance

Story: The legend says, that she was raised by fairies! The sign on her chin is a symbol for her name Eikowik, which means "earth" of course! Now she is the earth element and controls all live on earth. It's a hard work for a little cub! Lions born in the days of Eikowik(Spring) are playful and deeply in harmony with nature.

Farong:

Name origin.: I wanted a strong, yet simple name with "F" for "fire".

Symbols: Love, courage and family

Story: The legend says that he worked for the underground. The leader was the one who named him Farong. Farong was the controller of the fire, but he messed it all up. The leader got so angry, that he punch Farong with his big claws and made the scars... Little male cubs loves this story because of the scars by the leader, but for Farong, it's just a memory from the time he messed it all up.. Poor Fagorn! Marked with shame forever. Lions born in the days of Farong(Winter) are said to be troublemakers, in worse case, evil, but yet they are also said to be loving creatures.

Name origin.: He has fire-like colours, and he flies, so....

Name Origin.: I saw her in a dream once, and that was her name in it, so I kept it that way. Kinda reminds of the word "flirt".

Story: Mate of Tishwa, which makes her homosexual.

Gala

Name origin.: She is a crazy wild personality, that's why I chose the name Gala which means "Wild cat" in Swahili.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: She is the mate of Tyrania and the mother of Baka. Gala is everything a big cat wants. Sweet, kind, funny, wild, pretty, clever, poetic. She is perfect. Maybe it's because she was made in a human labratory, they wanted to make a blue cheetah...

Helina:

Name Origin.: I wanted something similar to the name Helena.

Pride: Hugtand's Pride

Story: She is the mate of Hugtand and the mother of Shila. Helina is kinda like a goddess. She has that kind voice that can seduce anyone. Helina is an albino lion. She pretends to be an albino panther so she can be with Hugtand.

Hoover:

Name origin.: I wanted a name that sounded cool and strong.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: Hoover is the mate of Shila. Hoover likes to be cool and dangerous. He want anybody else to fear him, exept for his best friends. Hoover's dream is to be the most famous lion in the savannah, or at least just famous. He loves Shila more than anything on the planet though and would do anything for her.

Hugtand:

Name origin.: Thought it would be fun to have one with a Danish name. Hugtand means "fang" in Danish.

Pride: Hugtand's Pride

Story: He is the mate of Helina and father of Shila. Hugtands was born while Mohatu ruled the Pridelands. Hugtands mother was almost brainwashing him with words that got stuck in his head. "Mohatu only cares for his own kind""He hates us panthers""One day, we'll have a king who cares for the panthers". Hugtand took those words seriously and with his two best friends, Tetorr and Panaaba, they caught Mohatu and his son, Ahadi, in a trap. Ahadi managed to escape but Mohatu was killed, and Hugtand got a bunch of panthers to follow him and so, they took over the Pridelands, and the lions now became the second priority after panthers. It seems like he had misunderstood his mother's words. His mother wanted peace between the two species, but Hugtand just turned it the other way around.
To survive, the lions have to give a certain amount of meat to the panthers. If the lions don't have as much meat, they will be murdered.
But one day, when Hugtand gets a message about a lion named Helina, is not paying her "taxes", Hugtand goes out to kill her, but falls in love with her instead.

Ijumaa:

Name Origin.: His original name was Lyn which means "lightning" in Danish, because of his lightning markings. It was changed to Ijumaa though, which means "Friday" in Swahili.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: Ijumaa is the brother of Mwana and the son of Ramonté and Kija. Ijumaa is an outsider... He just sits by himself or go play with his sister. When Baka askes him to play with her, he just goes somewhere else to be alone... Poor thing

Kijanadume:

Name Origin.: Original name was Sarah, but I thought it was too unoriginal and it was changed to Kijanadume which means "Little Boy" and fits her personality.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: She is the mate of Ramonté, the sister of Tyrania and the mother of Ijumaa and Mwana. She was born, looking like a boy with her whiskers(that's why that name). She is not happy about herself and is NEVER selfish. She likes to help others through their problems, but when they wanna help her, she refuses to be helped...

Lobi:

Name Origin.: I just wanted a simple and cute name. Lobi doesn't mean anything, as far as I know...

Story: Friend of Ropus.

Miza:

Name Origin.: I've changed her name back to the original. I've never really liked the name Kifunga anyway, I was just trying to find a name nobody else had, but I don't care about that anymore XD

Story: Mother of Ropus. A tough little aardvark who aren't afraid of anything. Would gladly fight a lion if she ever got the chance.

Mwana:

Name Origin.: Was originally named Mgala which I got from a Danish movie('The One and Only'), but then I realized it was very similar to another character's name(Gala), so I changed it to Mwana, meaning "daughter" in Swahili.

Story: She is the sister of Ijumaa and the daughter of Ramonté and Kija. Mwana is alot like her brother, an outsider. But is willing to go play with the others if they ask her. She is kind and fun to be with, and that makes her more popular than her brother.

Nakama:

Name Origin.: Nakama means "revenge" in Swahili, the only reason I chose it.

Story: She was the mate of Nuka, but after Nuka's death, she ran away from Zira's pride and had a son. She's hoping that her son will grow up and revenge his father's death.

Napoleon:

Name Origin.: Long story. It just popped up in my head that me and my friend thought that in danish language, people sometimes say "lort og kage" when things go wrong.. It means "Sh** and cake", so we thought we would come up with a funnier and nicer word, so we decided to say "afførring og napoleonshatte" instead that means "faeces and napoleonshats". Napoleonshat is a cake, and then I just thought of that when I was naming him.

Name origin.: I actually spent a lot of time looking at babynames on the internet because I wanted his name to be perfect, yet kinda American.

Story: Shila and Joe's son, but he's not from any of the stories, he's just a roleplaying character.

Nuuk:

Name origin.: I thought Nuuk was a cute name. It is a name of a ton on Greenland and it means "good hope".

Pride: Hugtand's Pride

Story: Daugther of Tornado. Considers Hugtand as her uncle and she is also his favourite cub. She dreams about becoming queen after Hugtand's reign.

Panaaba:

Name origin.: Just thought it sounded nice. Doesn't mean anything at all.

Story: He is Hugtand's third-in-command. He is more loyal to him than Tetorr.

Rajkumar:

Pride: Rajkumar lives alone, even though he's a lion.

Name origin.: When I first drew him I thought he looked Italian, so I gave him a name that sounded Italian.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: Ramonté is the mate of Kija and the father of Mwana and Ijumaa. Ramonté is always smiling and happy. He is cheering his friends up, if they are sad. Ramonté can be very funny, but also very romantic. He dosn't look on the outside, he think's that it's the inside that counts.

Ropus:

Name origin.: I wanted a name that sounded similar to the Danish name Sofus.

Story: He is the son of Kifunga. His best friend is Lobi.

Rudolph:

Name origin.: He has an odd coloured nose, like Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer, that's why I chose this name.

Pride: Rudolph's Pride

Story: Rudolph has his own pride in the deep jungle where the humans usually hunt. Other prides has been exterminated by the humans, but Rudolph's Pride has been strong enough to survive and has evolved special techniques to avoid conflict with hunters. Many original liones of the pride has bluish coloured noses.

Scars:

Name origin.: Just wanted something similar to Scar, because he look a lot like him.

Pride: Simba's Pride

Story: Scars is the son of Usare, who joined Simba's Pride after the great battle betweeen pridelanders and outlanders. Scars is(of course) named after King Scar, because he look so much like him by the colors, but his mother didn't know that Scars later on actually got a scar. Scars had an accident, during playing with his friend, and caused the scar on his right eye.
Scars is not unhappy with his name, as far as he knows he's not at all like Scar. Scars is very kind and loving, and his favorite thing to do, is hanging out with friends. It seems like nothing can make him sad.

Name Origin.: Based on my lastname, Schandorph.

Shigan:

Name origin.: I was playing around with a chinese name-generator and it came out with the name Shigan which means "high character", so I kept it for this character.

Story: Brother of Dagan.

Shila:

Name origin.: My old rat's name, which her design is based on, so of course she had to have the name too. Shila also means "woman", though she is nothing like one.

Pride: Hughtand's Pride/Ahadi's Pride

Story: (My fursona!) Shila is actually very pretty, but a little round at the belly... She is curious, and with hidden genes. Shila likes to be funny, maybe even crazy!! And, as her friends would say it, she is really scary sometimes, cuz of her insanity! She is the mate of Hoover.

Tetorr:

Name origin.: I was actually going to name him Teetor, but I noticed there was an artist by that name, so I changed it a bit, just for their sake. Now I think naming him Tetorr instead was a good choice.

Pride: Hugtand's Pride

Story: Tetorr is, not at all, like Hugtand, even though Tetorr is Hugtand's second-in-command... Tetorr helps every living creature. His best friend is Danani. They were always together when they were little cubs!

Tikka:

Name origin.: Just something that sounded cute.

Pride: Ocean's Underwater Pride

Story: Is the daugther of Ocean's greatest enemy(which has no name yet). She loves to hang out with Vallin though she is not supposed to.

Tishwa:

Name origin.: That was her name in my dream. I tried looking it up and it actually also means "frighten" in Swahili though I don't think that fits her personality much.

Story: Mate of Fleurt, which makes her homosexual.

Tribe:

Name origin.: It just fits him, and sounded cute.

Tyrania:

Name origin.: It actually comes from the time I played much Neopets. There's a land on Neopets called Tyrannia, thus his name.

Pride: Ahadi's Pride

Story: Tyrania is the mate of Gala, the brother of Kija and the father of Baka. Tyrania is the typical brave and loyal lion. He is also very wise and kind. Friends often comes to him when they need advice. He is the born leader with a little bit of outlander genes.

Pride: Rudolph's Pride

Story: Friend of Zito. They're not originally born into Rudolph's Pride, they came to it from an native pride, hence the weird markings.

Story: She was a part of Zira's pride, but after Zira died, she joined Simba's pride on Pride Rock and gave birth to her son Scars.

Name origin.: I was watching 'Gangs of New York' and thought that DiCaprio's character had a cool lastname(Vallon), so I based Vallin's name on that.

Pride: Ocean's Underwater Pride

Story: The prince of the pride. Son of Dima and Ocean. Friends with Tikka, though Ocean disapproves.

Vlana:

Name origin.: This name got stuck in my head so I created this character to get it out.

Story: She sprung out from the heart of emoness and landed by my feet. So I had to take care of her!

Wislen:

Name origin.: I wanted her name to start with W as in "water".

Symbols: Honor, hope and wisdom

Story: The legend says, that she saw the brutal killing of her parents. Only one tear fell down on her chin, and now it it stucked there. After that, he great powers of nature decided to make her the water element.
Lions born in the day of Wislen(Spring) are very wise and devoted to their traditions.

Zito:

Name origin.: Was originally named Buster by a friend. But I changed it because it wasn't very original. Zito means "difficult" in Swahili. He got it because of his difficult design.

Pride: Rudolphs Pride AKA Jungle Pride

He comes from a pride who has alot of weird markings and colors(a native pride). Rudolphs Pride goes far around the jungle, allows the cubs to go on adventure around the jungle. One of Zitos friends are the lovable Spot, though they're not together as much as they used to be, since Spot likes to go on her own most of the time. Zito loves to go on adventure with his friends in the jungle, and they are very brave when they are faced with dangerous situations. The parents are teaching their cubs to handle such situations as poison animals and plants or fierce carnivores. That's why the Jungle Pride is a very strong pride and can handle the problems of the humans who often come to hunt in the jungle. Other prides have been exterminated by the horrible torture of the humans, but Rudolph's Pride are strong enough to survive every time new humans arrive. That will also probably make them the strongest pride in their area.
