The middle child, is like a little kid, even at the age of 18. She learned medicine at this age and became facinated with it. But her medical knowledge couldn't help her family after the attack, since she herself was wounded. After the migation she became a pupil of Rafiki. She leared everything she could from him and became her family pack's healer.

Chiwa is Mya's closest sister and the forth born. Together they had the best times of their lives. But at the age of 17, her life was cut short. She was with the pack when the attack happened. She didn't make it out alive.

Half the size she should be, it's no wonder her name means "little lady". Abondoned as a chick and left to die, she was found by a young Legolas. He cared for her and ended up raising her, teaching her everything he new about birds. He even taught her how to fly. Because of his kindness, she became absoluely loyal to Legolas and serves as his messenger during his time away from his father's pride. The silver collar with the blue gem was a gift from Legolas's father.

My newest character. Elara is the daughter of Kashka and Dolie and was born with a combination of the unusual black markings of her parents. She's a light blueish-gray color with lavender eyes.

Name: Erik (aka O.G., Phantom of the Opera, Angel of Music, etc.)
Ok, I know Erik really doesn't belong to anyone but Gaston Leroux. And credit also goes to Andrew Lloyd Webber and others for the musical's interpretation of him. But I thought I'd put him in here to explain my design for my lionized version of my fav psychopath!
His overall design was based mostly on Gerard Butler's potrayl of him in the movie version of the musical. He brought such new and sexy aspects to the char that I've not seen from Michael Crawford (who I still think truely owns the role). So thought I'd put some of those aspects into my Erik Lion, giving him a slender but handsome look with a sleek black mane. But some inspiration for the eyes came from the book. I gave him yellow/gold eyes at first, but since I'm absolutely in love with Gerard's green eyes I decided to make his left eye green and keep the right one yellow. Some may have noticed I made the pupil in his right eye much smaller than his left. I did that to make more of a contrast between the scarred side of his face to the normal side. The same goes for the different colors around the eyes.
Overall I'm happy and satisfied with my Erik Lion. The more I draw him, the more I'll try to develop his chracter. And I'm always curious to see other artists' versions of him. I'll always refer to him as Erik, cuz I don't like saying "The Phantom" over and over. Besides, Erik is a nice name, isn't it?

The next oldest in the group of sisters, Kambo is shy but playful. She was closest to Mosi than the rest of her sisters. She tragicly met her end when she was 19 yrs old. She was playing with a cub until she caught the sent of a black lion. She sent the cub back to the pack, then went on to investigate.
She never made it back.

Keon has a proud heritage in his blood. His father was a roamer known as “The Golden Lion” who choose the ever patient and loving Fana to be his mate. The Golden Lion was a fine specimen of a lion, but very little of his regality shows in his son. Keon never met his father, only heard of him in the stories told by the lionesses. But, like most everything else, he doesn’t take the great tales of his father seriously. As a cub, Keon wants nothing more than to play in the sun. He always looks on the brighter side and laughs at every opportunity. Together with his best bud “Dak”, the two are always up to mischief. That usually involves Kegan, an older cub who Keon sees as an older brother, despite the fact that Kegan obviously resents him. But a bond between the three forms and tightens as they grow. Even as he gets older, Keon still retains his squashy head, bright blue eyes, and his freckles. But with age come responsibility, something Keon has a hard time accepting. He and Dak quickly turn into rambunctious teenagers. But their mischief sets them on the journey of their lives that will change their cubbish behavior and shape them into the lions they will become.

The oldest of the five sisters, Mosi is rather arogent, but sly and witty when she's in a good mood. She was 20 when the black lion's attacked and also pregnant. Mya hid her and protected her, but she was found and knocked unconsious. Now, often jelous because of Mya's fame in the Pridelands, she feels useless at times. But she finds her place caring for her young and helping her sister with her babysitting duties.

Very enthusiastic, optimistic, and playful, Mya lives her life to the fullest. Born in a very peaceful part of the savanah, uninhabited by lions, she lived in her mother's family pack consisting of all females and cub males. As she grew, she became attached to cubs and nominated herself as the pack's babysitter. She guarded her cousins with her life. When she was about 17 years old, the pack was attacked by a pride of black lions that slaughtered all but 2 of Mya's sisters, 2 relatives, and all of the cubs. Unable to support themselves they migrated to the Pridelands. They met Mufasa and he reluctantly accepted them into the pride. Mya ounce again became head babysitter and helped raise all of the cubs including Simba and Nala. She also raises orphaned cubs of all species, no matter color, name, or origin.

The mother of the five sisters. Her personality resembles Sarabi's, calm, wise, and collective. She was witty and often spoke zulu in her dialoge to teach her daughters. She was the matrioch of the family pack and she led the hunting party. She could look into the eyes of anyone and tell what their fate would be. Eventually she began to weaken, which did not help her in the fight with the black lions. She was the first to fall in battle, followed by Chiwa who tried to help her. She was not oblivious to her own fate, or the fate of almost the entire pack. But she was not one to try to reverse her visions. "We must follow the path ahead of us, and make no detours" She knew she wold not live to see another day, so she told Mya before the battle "Lead our family to the future, Mya, and do not bury yourself in the past." - the last words spoken to her by her mother.

For most of his life, Sudan was a slave. A pride of black lions controlled him and other cheetahs, includeing his family. When he was born, his mother was killed because she had been slacking off her duties, concentrating completely on her new son who she prayed would free their kind. She had named him Tjolo, but after her death his brother, Kondo, the oldest out of six sons, gave him the name, Sudan. As a cub he was a runt. He recieved his scars as punishment for breaking a rule set on him and he sank lower into despair.
But one day, during his late teens, more than half of the slaves escaped, and he was one of them. The group, led by Kondo wandered across the savannah and came across Ramla's pack. Where he met Mya and fell in love with her, who cared for him as no other did. The two became an insepratable pair, but the group was pursued by the black lions. For the safty of Ramla's pack, they left in the dead of night, without an explination. But they didn't leave soon enough to save them.
