A clumsy, shy wildebeest that finds interest in the world and the way things work. Though still young, he plans to travel all over the savanna when he grows strong and learn as much as he can.

He grew up without a father, so his mother tends to worry excessively about this dream of his.

When he does grow up and starts on his dream, he meets Pembe, an addax slightly older than him who had intended to travel for different reasons. His leg was wounded from an attack, and Bichi panics, thinking that he's next.

Pembe explains that it was a while ago and that he needs help. Complying, Bichi soon makes friends with the addax. The two travel together.

He searched for his family for a painfully long time and was overjoyed to find Hiko again. He worries excessively when the two are separated for what he deems as too long and is prone to fits of sheer panic.

A lion that looks a lot like Shika. It is thought that they grew up in the same pride together, but he has no recollection of living in a pride for long, as he was taken by a young female lioness when he was very young and dropped, forgetting most of his long-term memory. He came to think of the lioness that took him as his mother, as she cared for him well, and travelled after he was separated from her upon reaching adolescence.

A little spotted leopard cub with gentle brown eyes. He doesn't have a love for hunting yet and loves to play with animals smaller than he is, such as meerkats and insects. As he grows, he retains a meerkat pal and eventually grows fond of him, stayind around the meerkat wherever he goes instead of striking out on his own.

Cesar's mate and mother of Shian. She's very protective of her pride and family and is always the one to react first to signs of danger as the defensive side, though she isn't physically strong.

She was struck deeply by the loss of her cub and barely managed to climb out of her depression. After Shian's death, she became the pride's babysitter while still tending to her duties, relying on the happiness the young cubs brought her to keep her sanity.

Haat was born a few months after Simba exiled the Outlanders to an ashamed Prideland lioness and an unknown Outland lion. He looked enough like his father to be teased endlessly, which forced him out of the Pridelands when he was just a cub.

He was found near the river by an gazelle herd and taken in because the leader was (at the time) grateful to a lion that looked like him for saving him from a death-by-drowning. Thinking it as a debt repaid, one of the females was given the responsibility to raise him. Eventually, he became to be one of the herd and became close friends with his "mother's" little foal, named A Kigeni for the horns she had as a birth defect.

Heu used to be known as Hemel, an angelic spirit that worked to protect the Serengeti from the demons that caused their problems - drought, famine, etc. His twin sister, Duiwel, was with the demons and the two were the same rank in their own "armies," so to speak, so they often ended up fighting each other, Duiwel to kill him and Hemel to save her.

The gods above them were worreid that their feud would damage the Serengeti, so to keep any damage from happening, they were both sentenced to live life again as mortals.

Reborn, Hemel was renamed Heu and was born to an earth-loving lioness and her mate who died in a fire soon after the twins' birth. Learning from her, Heu grew to be a soft-hearted lion and learned to defend every living thing, no matter how weak or pathetic. As he grew, he also noticed that Mahke (Duiwel) began to distance herself from the Pridelands to be with the Outlands - dark places that appealed to her.

Worried, he turned to Rafiki for guidance. The baboon told him that to get her back, he had to be the opposite of her - he had to be the Heaven to her Hell.

Desperate to get her back, he follows Rafiki's advice, constantly battling against Mahke to get her home.

A hyena from outside the Outlands, Hiko originally had a loving mother, a sweet father, 3 sisters, and another brother. One day, a nasty illness swept his pack and his mother was one of the few to die along with one of his sisters. After that epidemic passed, his father changed. He became very cruel and slightly crazed in the head. Hiko, being the oldest, told his siblings to watch out and take care of themselves as well as they could, unsure about his father's sanity. They did as he instructed, but eventually their father snapped and tried to attack them all. In a deadly panic, hiko got away along with his brother. He's not sure anymore if his sisters are alive or where his brother is anymore since they went their separate ways. Recently he's wandering both regions of Simba's land trying to find his siblings and just trying to survive and the like.

A small grey cub, her pride was killed in a fire that only she survived. She was taken in my the prince of a "human-pride" and was cared for. However, she began to get very big (as lions tend to do) and she had to be let go to live on her own.

Kigeni was always considered strange, having a penchant for eating bugs and other crawlies, chasing rabbits, and doing other non-herbivore thing. However, she wasn't as strange as her "brother", a lion cub that had been adopted into the herd.

The two always seemed to get along, even when they were grown. Definately an odd pair, that was made moreso by her little hornbill-guardian that her mother had found and saved when he fell out of his nest.

Kigeni made friends with Ophou, a dejected lioness who needed friends. She's like a sister to everyone she meets (though sometimes annoying). Their little pride (more like a mini-Noah's Ark) isn't too well known in the Pridelands, something she likes.

The runt of three cubs, she was the only one that survived a fire caused by a thunderstorm in the dry season. She was found by one of the few families in her mother's pride and was taken in depite her weak status. She became close friends with the family's youngest daughter and is living well.

Granddaughter of Kula. She takes after her in appearance, but has the free will and adventurous spirit of Nala, her grandmother's close friend.

During Scar's takeover, Kula left the pride out of anger, since all of her friends were gone. Nala left to find help soon after. Her parents brought her up in the area her grandmother finally caught up with Chumvi, where she stayed.

Kiraz loves adventure and makes up her own stories, that she always acts out at the central figure. Her parents worry about her active imagination, but she doesn't pay them any mind.

There aren't many cubs where she lives, but she has all of the friends she needs in her mind.

As an adolescent, she runs away from home during an attack on her homeland, and when she returns, everything's burned and her parents are gone. She tries to stay there despite the heartache until Ade wanders into the area and finds her. He makes her come with him and finds her a safe area to stay. Kiraz, however, had grown fond of him because of his rescue and follows him. He doesn't seem to mind, but he keeps a safe distance all the same.

A level-headed, natural leader of a bird, Kisagi likes to tease and joke around with everyone, whether he knows them or not. His big beak gets him into trouble from time to time, but it doesn't bother him for long, as he springs back from any sort of negative emotion rather easily. Soemtimes, though, his teasing goes too far. He tends to have very little friends because of that fact.

Younger brother to Ade and Uva. Koto has the curiosity and the love of small miracles that you only seem to see in young children, despite his age. He is, however, completely mature. He is just naturally light-hearted and playful, unlike Ade.

When the three brothers created their own pride, both he and Uva had cubs of their own, Uva with a young son and Koto himself with three cubs: two girls and one boy. His daughters died before the week was through due to poor health, and his mate cried herself to insanity and had to be chased from the pride. For almost half a year, Koto protected Sagone with everything he had, only to bury himself in pride matters when Sagone started becoming more independant.

Friendly, young okapi with a childish mindset. He is one of the two that pal around with Bichi, though he's not very comfortable around Pembe. He much more at-ease around the wildebeest, as both are rather childish and frendly.

Personality-wise, he's shy and soft-spoken, but his heart is pure and he loves any type of affection.

A species of my own creation. Rioki is an example of one.

Males tend to be larger than the females, but they are both built relatively the same. Males have larger ears and thick/furry tails. They also have tall, impressive spiked manes and thickly furred chests.

Females are a bit smaller than the males and have thin tails, much like a cat's, with a rounded end that resembles a club. They do not have manes like the males, but in their place they have tufts of hair. These tufts are usually to the side or hang in front of their faces. They have pointed ears without tufts.

Kits don't resemble either gender until their second year. They're very fluffy/fuzzy and have large, expressive eyes, unlike adults. They don't have bold, furry tails like the males, but they have tails more like the females, but much shorter. Unlike adult liox, kits have spots on their paws and backs and occasionally have stripes on their heads and down to their necks. They somewhat resemble cheetah cubs. Kits also have rounded and tuftless ears, like regular wild cat cubs.

The species in general resembles an oversized housecat in its face and a cheetah or other small-statured "big cat". The front 'knees' are lower on the body than other big cats and their paws seem very small in contrast to their bodies.

Personality-wise, liox are very intelligent, philosophical, and they tend to dream big. They do not consider themselves superior, nor do they think they are under anyone. Of course, you always get a few that break the mold.

Tarabe's cousin. He has a strictly politcal concern for the pride and cares deeply for his family. Tarabe is one of the few family members he has left living, let alone one of the only ones he's in contact with. He's barren, as as such, can't have children. He thinks Tarabe foolish for letting Shemi take one of their cubs, and he's ridiculously protective of Shuri as a result.

Mahke was originally a spiteful, evil demigod named Duiwel. She had a high position in the “Underworld” due to her vicious temperament and her stunning fighting skills. Duiwel was the commander of the lesser gods and devils and led them against the angels ironically under her twin brother, Hemel’s, control. Because of this, Duiwel was most violent against the angels she fought, eventually facing off with her brother.

The gods met about the deadly feud between the twins and decided that they should both be punished, even though Hemel was actually trying to SAVE Duiwel. They were both sentenced to be reborn again as mortals in the Pridelands.

As Duiwel grew up (now called Mahke), she began to develop a taste to danger, evil, and hate that eventually began to spawn into the evil she, as Duiwel, emanated.

Hemel (now called Heu) went to Rafiki for guidance and was told to be the opposite of what she was being – he had to be the embodiment of Heaven to counter her embodiment of Hell.

Now they’re fighting each other again as adults

Son of Shemi and Tarabe and brother of Shauri. He does not know about his father or sister, as his mother took him away when they were both newborns, leaving his sister to be raised by Tarabe, as she did not want the girl.

Maovu has been taught evil ways by his mother and grows up to be something of a puppet, following her commands and proving to be a deadly ally and a worse enemy.

Son of Uva and cousin to Sagone. He would always make time to play with his older cousin, but Sagone only seemed to want the attention of his own father and didn't want to play with Nchi.

When Sagone went on his rampage and brutally injured their pride, Nchi ran after him with the intent to stop him. His father had been hurt badly in the attack and Koto had had to fight his own son.

Nchi just wanted Sagone to stop his rage, and didn't want to hurt him. He didn't leave until the older lion admitted what he had done was unnecessary and he comforted the older lion while Sagone bitterly cried out his reasons and everything that made him what he was.

The two stayed together as family, with Nchi helping Sagone keep hold of his explosive temper.

All characters who take part in my Lion King story "Noble Blood" will be listed here with appropriate given to creators and adopted-fromers. It just makes it all easier on me -- neater, easier-to-locate, grouped nicely, etc.

Acha: Daughter of Moyo and eventual queen of the Hidaya pride, mate first to Dakarai, then Nadra after Dakarai's death. She is the mother of Bwana (Dakarai's son) and Rithi (Nadra's son).

Dakarai: Son of Tota. Because his mother wasn't from the Hidaya pride, he and Tota were looked down upon, but he befriended many of the cubs. First mate of Acha and father of Bwana. Killed by Nadra.

Nadra: Father of Rithi and second mate of Acha. Killer of Dakarai. One of the few cubs who didn't want outsiders within their ranks. He kills Dakarai because he felt that he deserved to be Acha's mate due to his family living in the pride for generations.

Bwana: Son of Dakarai and Acha, elder brother of Rithi. He looks much like his father. He does not get the kingship because Nadra is not his father by blood. That is passed down to Rithi, but he never holds it against him. Acha tells him to leave for fear of his life in the hopes that he'll become strong and make something of himself.

Rithi: Son of Acha and Nadra. He inherits the kingship even though he is younger. He has a naive attitude about life and loves his brother dearly. He wants to be like Bwana.

Tota: Dakarai's mother. She lived in a nomad pride before her pregnancy became too much for easy travel. She turned to the closest nonmigratory pride (Hidaya) and was allowed to stay and raise her cub within the pride.

Moyo: Acha's father. He allows Tota to live in the pride. He's very protective and caring of his daughter and does whatever he can to make her happy, including letting the young males stay in the pride instead of forcing them to leave when they reached adolescence. He dies from old age when Acha reaches adolescence.

Hebu: Acha's cousin and best friend. Softspoken and withdrawn, she kept away from rough things, such as play-fighting. She spends much of her time around Acha, even as an adult. She accidentally finds out about Nadra's role in Dakarai's death and tries to warn Acha, but Nadra exiles her. The twins keep her hidden on the outskirts of the pride's boundaries to keep her close.

Jeki: The elder twin of Chata. Her temper causes problems to the point of almost being exiled from the pride. It's her idea to hide Hebu close to the pride. After Hebu's exile, she never fully trusts Nadra.

Chata: Younger twin of Jeki. Along with Acha, she is the first to befriend Dakarai, thus forming a close bond with him. After his death, she falls into a mini-depression.

Hidan: One of the male cubs who left the pride upon reaching adolescence. At first, he intended upon befriending Dakarai, but Nadra stopped him. He made up one/third of Nadra's "troupe".

Haiba/Obito: One of the males who leave the pride upon reaching adolescence. Best friend of Hidan, he leaves the pride with him. He made up one/third of Nadra's "troupe", also trying to befriend Dakarai, but was stopped by Nadra.

Koma:
Acha's mother, who passed away prior to the start of the story. Moyo talks about her quite often and Acha can barely remember her.

I wouldn't have this little sweetie if Racha didn't let me adopt him, so a HUGE HUG to Racha, everyone!

Nyuni's a very sweet, cuddly sort who tends to be the one who volunteers to watch the cubs when no one else will - he's just that cool. He's a big kid himself, loving to roll around in the grass and play pranks just like every other little kid. One thing he can't stand is a bully, and any time one of them rears his ugly head, he's there to fend them off. Despite Nyuni's happy-go-lucky attitude, he angers easily if you push the right buttons, and he's not someone you want to fight.

An addax who has just begun to consider himself an adult. Pembe had been attempting to leave his pride and strike out of his own due to his smug personality when he was attacked by a lion and was badly wounded. He lay as such for almost a day when Bichi stumbled across him and paniced. Pembe calmed him down with a few yells and talked him through everything needed to get him to walk again.

Bichi, still young and rather unstable on the whole concept of life, felt safe around him and Pembe had really no choice but to take the wildebeest under his "wing" and teach him what he needed to know.

The two have become close friends.

Rioki is of a creature my own design: a Liox. Check out the species which is listed as such in this list.

He doesn't speak his history, but he seems to like to be alone and it takes a lot to get him to show emotion and open up.

Personality-wise, he's intelligent, charming, reserved, and quiet. He may be stubborn, but it's usually in the best interests of others. You can usually find him alone looking at the stars or his own reflection.

A casual character, Rogoa tends to take her time and enjoys simple days of lounging in the grass and watching the stars at night. She's easy to talk to and tends to give the impression that she's either fallen asleep or just isn't paying attention. However, she is.

A vampire lion, Rorane is used to living back in caves and being shunned by others. However, he doesn't take it well deep down. Several of his "buddies" could attest to that, if they were alive.

He's very dark, though he doesn't show it beneath a snake-like exterior.

A bitter cub who grew up Nchi as his older cousin. As a cub, he was prone to fits and bad tempers which everyone associated with the lack of attention he got from his father and uncles, who, as kindhearted as they were, tended to get too caught-up in matters involving their pride and wouldn't have time for him.

As an adult, that bad temper turned into a "bad" streak that took him away from his pride and led him to conquer another lion's pride.

Daughter of Shemi and Tarabe and sister to Maovu. She was left to be raised by Tarabe, as Shemi only wanted Maovu and planned to take the cub and leave. Tarabe needed an heir to his kingdom and demanded that at least one be left with him. Shauri was left behind all-too-willingly.

She grows up not wanting to rule, but for different reasons than Kiara had. She feels that it is not her place to rule and doesn't feel comfortable learning everything needed to be a successful queen.

Eventually, to quell her never-ending questions and her feelings on leadership, Tarabe tells her what happened the night after she was born. She doesn't question anything along the lines of leadership or her queenship again, but she becomes more withdrawn.

An evil Outland lioness, Shemi uses subterfuge, manipulation, sadism, and just about anything and everything else she can to get her way. One of her best and favorite hobbies is to "console" upset prey and then kill them.

She has two children, Maovu and Shauri, and is currently teaching Maovu to be bad in the hopes that he will leave a bloody path behind him as he grows. She is only raising Maovu, leaving Shauri to her father.

Cesar's friendly, trusting, generally cheerful son. During Scar's reign, in which his pride neighbored the Pride lands, he was an older cub, a few months older than Simba at the time of his exile. Scar entered his home during one of his father's trips around the territory and offered to take him on a trip to see his father.

Shian agreed and Scar kidnapped him. He was used as a "body" to present to the lionesses to keep their alliance.

Scar's plan worked, as Sarabi was too grief-stricken to look properly at the cub's body, as were the rest of the lionesses. They just saw what they feared to see: the young prince.

Shika lived in a jungle pride with his mother that went under new rule when he was still very young. The new king wasn't very talented or benine, and the pride continually slipped deeper into suffering when a young male appeared in their lands. Shika's mother, who was at the time out near the river playing with her son, begged the stranger to help by chasing off the lazy king.

With the request of payment, Vengar said he would help, and within a few days, his threats and methods scared off the king. The pride offered him the kingship, as he had saved them, but he turned them down rather harshly and just left.

Shika ran off after him, chattering up a storm. Vengar stopped and told him he couldn't come with him when Shika asked. Shika just followed anyway, still talking. Vengar couldn't get him to leave, and the cub ended up staying with him until he grew. The two still travel together, though VEngar has tried countless times to get rid of him.

Youngest of the family that found Kijana after the brush fire. He is the tougher of the two and tends to start arguments and is very protective of Kijana around other lions. He feels he has to be.

Son of the King of a lion pride specially designed to survive in the desert and the rough terrain that comes with it. (You can witness it all in KH2, in the Pride Lands.) His father was an older lion and died soon after he reached adolescence. Forced to rule early, he developed a habit of double-checking every one of his actions. He never really recovered from that habit, but he did learn to do what he thought best the first time he figured it out. The pride thrives on, and like Simba, he still looks for his father and elderly mother for guidance, but he hides it if anyone asks.

He eventually has an encounter with Shemi, and the two stay as mates for a short while, until two cubs are born. Shemi takes the older one, Maovu, and casually leaves Shauri to Tarabe when he demands that one remain behind with a "Then take the girl. I have no need for her."

He raises Shauri to be the queen, but her restlessness and questions eventually lead him to explain what happened the night she was born. She accepts her place, then, but not without unspoken resentments.

Toca's an Outland male who grew up under rough conditions. His father is unknown and his mother didn't want him, so she left him with Zira's pride where he looked upon Nuka, Kovu, and Vitani with jealousy and envy because they had a home and he didn't even have a family. He had left with a few other lionesses on a group hunt out of boredom right when Zira's main pride left to fight the war against the Pridelanders. When he returned, his temper boiled over and he began attacking everyone that was within range, running out on the pride for a lengthy distance, literally crashing into a hyena male named Hiko. In his rage, Toca began to attack blindly while Hiko used a more tactical method against the lion, giving him the identical scars on his haunches, the scar across his neck, and the scar on his left leg. Now Toca's on a vendetta to destroy that hyena who wounded his pride.

Presently, he has paired up with a brown lioness named Nakama to overturn Simba once again and helping her regain the Outland lions from scratch.

Matte: Darker cub.

Both boys were separated from their parents at a young age during a takeover of their pride. Toko, being the elder brother, took it upon himself to take care of them both, and Matte, too young at the time to really understand, clung to him.

Matte never spoke much except to Toko after the incident and didn't even as an adult.

Brother to Ade and Koto. Uva is the largest of the three, though he is the middle sibling. As such, he has to keep watch over Koto more often than not, although Ade takes care of them all. He tends to whine and argue, but it's usually for a good cause.

Once the three brothers created a pride of their own, Uva was the second and last to settle down and start a family, granted with one son, named Nchi, who was such a happy boy. Uva was used to Nchi's curiosity, as Koto, his younger brother and Nchi's uncle, was the very same way when he was younger.

It was like taking care of him all over again.

He was hurt when Sagone's rage got the better of him, but he was fine after the attack and a few days' worth of rest.

A lion who never had a high level of tolerance, he left his pride as soon as he was able to without a second look back and began to travel, fighting his way through. His emotionless and dark appearance scared off many challengers.

Upon traveling through a jungle, a lioness asked him to clear out their king. He agreed, stating that there would have to be some form of payment and proceeded to scare the king away. It worked before too long and the pride offered him the kingship. He turned it down harshly and left, again without another look.

However, the cub who was with the lioness that asked him to help followed him, talking constantly and grating on his nerves. Using harsh words, he attemtped to force the cub back home, but it followed him anyway, and he hasn't been able to get rid of him since.

He gave Shika the scar on his nose when he lost his temper at the young lion and took a swing at him.

Voël was shoved from his nest before he was ready to fly and was picked up by Kigeni’s mother (the poor dear was so motherly she’d raise anything) and when he was old enough, she had christened him guardian of the young gazelle. He constantly tries to make Kigeni’s mother proud, even though she’s not there with him to raise him anymore.

He’s a rather lenient bird compared to Zazu and always prefers a good game over rules and duties. The only thing that comes over everything is his ‘sister’s’ safety, leaving him with no choice but to follow the hyperactive gazelle everywhere.

Voël is considered a fast flier, but everything else isn’t that amazing.

He was the one who first encountered Ophou, almost becoming a meal for the lioness, yet he was quicker to accept her than most others outside their mini-pride, which he doesn't like. Voël is a bird who can't stand segregation due to his upbringing and would gladly peck anyone to death who's like that.
