Aniya, a pure white wolf with grey markings on her cheeks, is a mysterious spirit guide, who is trying to help Makai sort out his past.She was a friend of Makai's grandfather,And a guardian of the Midnight Pride.

Annu is one of the lionesses in the Midinght Pride with a level headed personality. SHe is one of Kya's good friends, for they grew up in the pride together when they had had a different ruler. Annu is very quiet when it comes to the old pride, for it is a painful experience for her. One she will never forget.

Ketani, Makai and Kya's daughter. She is a Grayish color like her Dad, has crystal blue eyes. She is stubborn and aventurous, yet still has to learn the lessons of life. Ketani has a knack for breaking the rules, but always seems to keep just out of the way when trouble comes crawling up.

Kya, Makai's mate. She is a pale cream color and has eyes of jade. Kya is very level headed, and practical, but still has a playful side. She is usually the one who nags Makai about being an overproctective father, and is a good friend to a Zebra named Neera, Makai's advisor.

Makai, an unusual grey lion with a black mane and crystal blue eyes who has had a hard past. He leads the Midnight Pride with his mate Kya. Makai has a sparky personality, but is an overprotective father. He is usually very calm, except when his father is mentioned. He considers his father a discrace and a disapointment to the Royal family.

Neera, a zebra who's befriended the Midnight Pride. She is the advisor to King Makai, and a big pain to Ketani. Her official job is to help Makai, but she's always found herself keeping an eye on Ketani.
