Very much the "boy next door" type in his youth and somewhat restless. He grows up listening to the stories and he greatly admires the kings and queens of the past. Being a prince, he feels like he is being compared and held to the expectations of the Great Rulers who have passed before him. The Kings are the stuff of legends and great heroic tales, nothing like the way he can see himself at all. Against their legacy, he feels so insignificant and small. He is filled with self-doubt and can sometimes be quick to anger, but only when he is very aggitated or preoccupied. He is the second born and is the prince consort to his brother who is wild and aggressive even as a cub.

In his adolescent years, Cliff confronts his father saying that making the first born the ruler is a stupid tradition because you cannot know what sort of a leader a cub will make when it is born. He finds his brother to be extremely unfit to be King and is worried for his kingdom. Cliff has no particular desire to be King, but he can see that his brother is far from king material and feels very stronly against allowing his homeland to be ruled by a tyrant.

YAY! I finally found a name for him! XD Anyway, this is my first TLK character _ever_! I made him up my sophmore year of high school. Soon after his creation, I added Oriole and Osprey as his childhood friends...Riley was added about a year later.

Still working on his backstory as he is a pretty recent character. But basically he is the first born and thus heir to the throne. As a cub, he tries to please his father by understanding and appreciating everything in the kingdom but he cannot bring himself to see prey as his equal and he doesn't understand how to appreciate and take care of the land. As he grows, he gives up on trying to please anyone but himself as he is the only person he can understand. He has a nervous tick in his tail and it twitches constantly.

When he matures, some take him for a generous lion because he welcomes all outsiders without a thought. But once they enter the pride he allows none to escape or get out of line. As he reaches and grows beyond maturity he becomes encreasingly tyrannical. Cliff has protested his abilty to rule from the begining and so he percieves him as a threat and potential rival. Once he recieves the throne, he attacks Cliff with aggression that increases by day. He eventually drives Cliff away from the pride completely.

Though the pride becomes very powerful, all under his rule (predator and prey) are malcontent and the balance of nature is thrown off due to the masses of concentrated predators in one area. None of the herds are allowed to leave because he has set up border patrols that keep the animals within the boundary of the pride's land. As time goes by he extends his borders far outside of the inherited range and, due to the mass numbers of his pride, has encompassed and taken over the territory of many neighboring prides. Some fought but most were forced to flee. Not only does he gain their land but he acquires their herds as well.

Throughout his reign he has acquired a large following of loyal and power-hungry lions and lionesses who aid him in most of his endevours becoming almost police-like. They assist in keeping the herds under control, patrolling (and increasing) the borders, and some he even promotes to an almost duke-like reign over certain districts of his kingdom when he feels his reach has begun to falter.

Not really any b/g story for him. Just a strange old doodle that I like and so now he's a chara. :D This picture is him as a cub, but maybe I'll update it someday...maybe.

random info that I just thought up: He's equally at home underwater and on land. I think he might have a merlion form, but I haven't given it much thought. He might grown fins as he gets older, even in his lion form--but once again, he's a very under-developed character.

Not my fursona, but she represents a certain aspect of myself. She's a grey tigeress with Amber eyes and a stripe pattern that is subject to sporadic and unprovoked alteration upon my whim. All of her paws(and the tip of her tail) are a clean white that fades to grey.

Has a habit of licking the back of her paw to collect herself before speaking to someone: especially if it is for the first time or if she is trying to make a good impression. She seems to be a bit slow at times, but really she is only thinking things through very carefully before she speaks or acts--this means that she is often hesitant and does not leap towards change but rather approaches with caution. She can be shy and soft spoken at times and will often substitutes a smile for words. She has a bulkier build, larger feet, bigger chin, and is overall much heavier than her sister, Osprey. She is of average beauty and prowess and has no unique abilities except that because of her steady nature can keep a cool head in almost any situation.

She was very playful and exploring as a cub/infant. Curious about everything and easy to be around. As she grew, it was obvious, even at a very young age, that she would grow into a beautiful lioness. Because of this, she became more guarded as she grew up due to all of the young males trying to impress and be around her. She hates to feel like she's being an attention hog so she discourages the attention by guarding her inner self from any lion that she is not particularly close to. She is not cold, she just doesn't let too much show, especially around mature males.

She has a very kind and adventurous soul. When she was young, Osprey led the way when going places and was more outgoing than her sister, but always turned to Oriole for wisdom and true leadership if they ever got into a tight spot. She values her sister's opinion very highly and is only truly herself around Oriole.

Her face and limbs are more slender than Oriole's as is the rest of her. She has some small identity issues because many see her only for her exterior and she hates the spotlight--but puts up with it. Osprey has been known to lose her cool if a situation or emotion becomes too intense.

Raised in the wilds of Africa, born of no pride, his mother was a rogue lioness. She was a bizzare character in that she was very idealistic and slightly eccentric. She hated staying in one place for too long, so they moved around constantly as soon as Riley was old enough to walk. She raised him until he could survive on his own and then one morning she wasn't there when he woke up. He wasn't hurt though, he knew that was just how she was, it was in her nature to do something like that. After waiting around for a few weeks to see if she returned, he moved on and began life as a rogue.

Because he has been navigating baically from birth, he has very thourough, first-hand geographical knowledge and an amazing sense of direction (both literally and figuratively). He never seems to get lost. He is a very charismatic lion with a laid back personality; virtually everyone cannot help but like him. He has assumed his mother's spirit and love of life, and can almost always be seen with a welcoming, toothy grin smeared across his face.

He grows up with Cliff, Oriole, and Osprey after stumbling across their pride during his travels.

Some little cub that I really like and have been drawing a lot ever since I made him. No B/G story...yet. But I'm working on it.
