Ajani is a messenger for Sokoto and his pride. His name means "he who wins the struggle". He plays a vital role in "Ufalme Teule".

He's a psycho murderer. He has no desire in life but to shed blood. He is always accompanied by a raven named Bahili. Aoko's name means "outside". He calls himself this because he always wants to be alone. They say his eyes are red because of all the innocent animals he's killed... because he desires blood so much. You never want to come across this psycho on the savannah!

He's the brother of Sokoto and co-leader of their pride. He has a young daughter named Faizah. His mate died giving birth to her. He is "killed" mercilessly by a crazed, power-hungry lion who takes over the pride. His brother Sokoto is also killed. Later in the story we find out he was only severely injured and cared for by a herd of mixed animals. He returns and redeems the pride and marries Sobi, his true love.

His name means "mean". He is always seen with Aoko, because no one else wants him around. He is not as blood-thirsty as his companion, but still, he doesn't mind walking with Aoko down his path of blood - it's free food.

Member of a mixed-up group of animals - a strange, multi-species herd. His brother and sister are also in this herd with him. He helped care for Auzari after his brutal attack.

One of four cubs born into the royal pride of Ufalme Teule. She is the third cub born, and she has a younger twin sister, Cleo. She and her sister are kidnapped by the evil Weusi when they are still adolescent. Everyone thinks they are dead, but her oldest brother doesn't give up looking for them.

name means "blooming"

Her name means "bold". Orphaned as a pup by Aoko (he killed her parents and her sister and two brothers), her whole life she seeks to avenge her family by killing Aoko. She knows hyenas are much stronger than jackals, but she knows she must try. Despite her gruesome goal in life, she has a very sweet personality and is willing to help anyone who is good. She does not tolerate abuse. If she sees an animal abusing another, she will take matters into her own paws and bring justice herself.

Born to Grace and Sokoto just before her father is killed by a power-hungry lion. Her pride is taken over, but miraculously, she is spared. She doesn't play a very important role in Ufalme Teule, but the story just wouldn't be complete without her :)

Member of the multi-species herd that saves Auzari's life. Mate to Nyau. Eshe's name means "life".

Carefree, he roams around the savannah totally in love with life. He's been a rogue most of his life, and he's still only an adolescent. His brother is Ian. When he becomes an adult, he marries Cleo.

Member of a small group of cheetahs. He's the youngest of the three. Doesn't have a significant role in Ufalme Teule.

His name means "dark".

Daughter to Auzari. Her mother died giving birth to her. Later, her father is killed while she's still a cub. Orphaned, she slips into depression, and if it wasn't for Teara who takes her in as a younger sister, she would have died of a broken heart. She grows into a beautiful lioness and later marries Shakir (Erevu).

Name means "victorious".

Faythe is a random lion I created. She's inspired by my own real-life struggles, and yet, she still knows where to look. :) No, she's not an angel, just a regular lion who prays. Mate to Judah.

Member of the multi-species group that saves Auzari's life. Very smart girl, but sometimes insecure. She and her brothers, Chache and Kundaa were raised by a spotted hyena, Patches since they were pups.

Name means "love me".

Oldest daughter of Grace and Sokoto. She is somewhat spoiled as a cub, but she grows out of it.

Name means "princess".

Mate to Sokoto originally, but when the pride is taken over, she becomes mate to the usurper, Java. Apparently, they already have a past together that no one had known about. Her sisters, Sobi and Teara pry the truth out of their older sister and are shocked at what they find out. Grace has three cubs, Gimbya and Ebere by Sokoto, and Ka-meh by Java.

Mate to Gimbya... cubhood friends. Parents are undecided. He's very protective of the one's he's close to and will stop at nothing to protect those he loves.

Name means "clever".

Power-hungry. Jealous of Sokoto and his success. He grew up around Grace and her family, and has always had feelings for her. When she married Sokoto, he became very bitter and plotted to get Grace for himself. He kills Sokoto and Auzari, not caring about the cubs he orphans. He and Grace have a cub named Ka-meh. He's a terrible father and mate. He gets everything he wants, but then doesn't cherish it. His pride hates him, even his son.

This char was actually in a dream I had. I don't know where he came from, like I'd never seen him before the dream. He's very kind, peaceful, protective and loving. Mate to Faythe.

Born to a tyrant and his mate, Ka-meh is hated by his pride because of what his father, Java had done. He runs away as an adolescent to try and live a decent life. He doesn't want to be like his father. He marries Kivuli while he's still a rogue. He later returns to his fathers pride to try to redeem himself to the lionesses who pre-judged him.

Name means "desolate".

Second oldest cub to Themba and Mahari. After his younger sisters are kidnapped, he runs away from the pride to find them. He comes across the evil pride (which is so large it's called an empire by those who are part of it) and joins up with them, because Weusi, the evil king promises to help him find his sisters. Little does he know, Weusi is the very one who has kidnapped them and forced them to be a part of his harem. Weusi becomes a mentor to Kijana, and eventually turns Kijana against his family. His hatred destroys him in the end.

Name means "youth".

Zikomo's younger sister. Mate to Ka-meh. She's also a rogue, but I haven't developed her story more than that.

Name means "shadow".

Mother of Wangwa, she was separated from her son in the desert by a horrible sandstorm. Frantic, she devotes her life to finding her son, although everyone tells her to give up hope.

Member of the multi-species herd that saves Auzari's life. His siblings are Femi and Chache. Silly kind of personality... definitely a prankster/class clown, but everyone loves him. He's a real sweetheart.

Name means "small".

Mate to Themba. She was once a part of the Golden Empire (ruled by the cruel Weusi), but she and her mate escaped with their firstborn cub, Mkubwa. They begin their own kingdom, Ufalme Teule - the Chosen Kingdom. Though she is put through a lot of trauma with her cubs (her daughters being kidnapped, youngest son running away), she is still kind-hearted and loving to everyone... especially her mate, Themba. After everything they go through together, they are still very much in love with each other.

Name means "forgiver".

An old, twisted aardwolf. Java seeks advice from this heartless animal. He also has been a mentor to Aoko, although he was never as blood-thirsty as his student.

Name means "trouble".

The oldest cub born to Themba and Mahari. He is heir to the throne of Ufalme Teule. He's very respectful and loyal. He always sticks up for what's right. He marries Weupe and she becomes his queen. He is always very gentle, and never gets angry.

Mate to Eshe, he is the leader of the multi-species herd. He teaches Auzari of their way of life, and they become inseperable friends.

Name means "cat".

He is a spy for his best friend, Mkubwa. He was taken in by the pride when he was still a cub. He doesn't know who his parents are. When he grows up, he marries Ebere.

Name means "star."

Once mate to Aoko, she left him soon after they were together because of his unnatural thirst for blood. He didn't care either. They never had any pups together and a good thing too. Patches had always wanted to have children, so she adopted three young jackals, Chache, Femi, and Kundaa. She is also part of the multi-species group led by Nyau.

Shakir is a little stinker. He's always gotten himself into mischief. He was very young when his pride "abandoned" him. He very much misses his older half-brother, Zikomo, who left the pride when he was a little cub.
As an adult, he finds his brother, and is warmly welcomed into Zikomo's pride.

Grace's younger sister, Teara's older sister. She is very level-headed, and can sniff out mischief. She doesn't like Java from the beginning and doesn't trust him. When Auzari returns, she marries him, because she's always loved him... even though he's half a generation older than her and has a daughter of his own.

Leader of a small pride, and brother to Auzari. He is killed, drowned by Java. He is a very loving father and a loyal mate. He's not very strong, but everyone respects him. His pride mourns his death and takes it very hard... some don't recover for years.

Leader of a migrating coalation of cheetahs. He considers the other two cheetahs as his brothers, and they're very close. His place in the story is still to be determined.

Name means "hair tuft".

Youngest of her family (which is only her and her two sisters). She is a loving, gentle, quiet lioness. When Auzari dies, she takes his daughter, Faizah, under her care as her younger sister. She is attacked at one point in the story and loses her right front leg. Eventually marries Zikomo and they begin a pride together.

Mate to Mahari and king of Ufalme Teule. Once a border guard for the evil Weusi, he escapes with his family from the Golden Empire. He cherishes his mate and cubs above everything else, even his own life.

Name means "trusted".

He was separated from his mother as a kitten in a desert sandstorm. He meets another young cheetah named Sunzu and they become best friends. Later, Eusi joins their coalation. Wangwa is eventually rejoined with his mother.

Name means "desert wasteland"

She's the unfortunate daughter of Weusi, emperor of the Golden Empire. He has a large harem and wants only sons. When Weupe was born, he killed her mother for not making a son for him. He would have killed Weupe also, but a good friend of her mothers escaped the empire with the cub. She meets Mkubwa when she is older and they marry.

Name means "white".

The evil king of the Golden Empire. He is selfish, cruel, and murderous. He has a very large harem (mostly of unwilling captives). He desires nothing more than fame and adoration, so he makes all his subjects adore him. Eventually, he is overthrown by a bold group that has long awaited his destruction.

Name means "black".

A rogue most of his life, he travels around with his younger sister, Kivuli. He meets Teara and falls in love with her, and eventually they marry, and start their own pride. He finally meets his younger half-brother, Shakir. I haven't developed his story more than this, but I'm working on it.
