A young female hyena, Azima is cynical yet often very hyper and willing to play along with silly schemes. She's very playful, and is known to joke around about doom or exile and other unhapppiness, things that only a hyena can really joke about.

Born during the later years of the war, Kilindo lost his sentry father when he was young due to the war. He was raised by his then already akward uncle Tazama, who fretted with every situation the young cub managed to get him into.

Now a young lion, Kilindo has taken to be rather quiet and reclusive, wanting to be a sentery like his father. He has no mate, yet the newcomer Rubani teasingly presues him, something he actually likes deep down, not that he'll ever admit it.

A newcomer to Kilindo and Tazama's homelands, Rubani has never experienced the war that tore apart the Pride during previous years. A young lion studying healing, Rubani spends her free time presuing the shy Kilindo.

Majordomo of the pride and head of inter-species protocol, Tazama never planned to get in the middle of wars. 'Twasn't part of his job description. Yet within a few years of his service in the pride war broke out, and he found himself startlingly close to the front lines. His frazzled appearance has become a testament to this experience, along with his wapred since of humour. Later on in the war he became adopted his orphaned nephew, Kilindo, which, while taking him away from the frontlines, brought him new dangers that are familiar to all those who ever tried to watch over adventerous cubs.

Now settled into his later years in the pride, the now graying majordomo is put upon to find and train his sucsessor, which is a task he defiantly doesn't look forward to. He's often veiwed as insane and not given the respect he feels he deserves, but it doesn't help he can be a vain old lion at times.

Tazama's constant companion, The Lovebird came to him one day and never left. She doesn't speak the pride's langauge, but Tazama is fluent in the variation of the avian langauge she speaks. Her only purpose in hanging out with Tazama seems to be to make fun of everything he does. X)
