Hixoro:
A hixoro is created when the soul of a being has not appreciated, or has done horrible things in their former life. After the person has passed away, they are reincarnated into a hixoro as a punishment, a curse, and a test. They are partnered with a demon (who is their tail) to be tested how pure their heart is by resisting temptation of the demon swaying them into doing sinful things. If they follow their conscience, when their life is over their soul is freed and they may live in the afterlife. However, if they fail, then they remain trapped in their bodies, and force to roam the Earth forever.

Kayix in particular cannot remember her past life. She heard from another hixoro that their kind are created because they were bad in their past human life. Ever since then, Kayix has been ashamed of herself. She is very afraid of her demon tail and the temptation that it leads her into. When she gives into the temptation, she hates herself more.
