Nimesha's slightly unbalanced sister, still in the development stage. I wanted to give Nimmy a sister for several reasons, one being that her name means "a split second", and I thought it would be interesting to give her a sibling with a name that meant just the opposite (Amita means "endless"). For you fellow computer game Obscurists, Amita's spiky hair, sans stripe, was partially inspired by the character of Blount from Goblin's Quest 3 (Coktel Vision/Sierra).

Stuart's mate and Negasi's mother. She plays a very minor role in Rinden's Story.

Nomadic lion, former mate of Rehema. Possibly a demigod, Hamaji was born a wanderer, and he left Rehema shortly after the birth of her son, Obi, who inherited his father's yearning to be a wanderer.

A leopard that raised Rinden after his flight from his homeland.

Rinden's only son and "heir", Xandra's older brother. As a cub, he is rather scruffy, but as an adult, he is just as handsome as his father.

Rehema's oldest daughter, the second oldest in her second litter. She is very manipulative (especially of Kishi) and tough, in spite of her young age (which is ironic, because her name means "pure"). She also has a secret weakness...her love for Obi.

A white male cheetah, Rinden's father and Xandra and Jacko's paternal grandfather.

Vidole's close companion, a lioness with a partial mane. Not as fierce as her friend, but still with the same spunk and sass.

A lion blind since birth, now soul mate of Paka, who is said to have given him the ability to see.

Rehema's second oldest son, littermate to Shungi, Stellia and Kathleene. In a desperate move to rescue him from a pack of jackals, his mother grabbed him by the ear, leaving four holes. He was so shattered by his ruined appearance that he decided to become a rebel, scarred himself and tied a piece of skin around his tail. Until he was finally accepted by Shungi, the chosen king, he lived the life of an outcast.

Kovu and Kiara's son, future King of the Pridelands.

A dark lioness responsible for Tanabi's disappearance from the Pridelands. She has a complex and traumatic past that she refuses to reveal to anyone.

Tanabi and Vitani's daughter.

Stuart and Elfleda's son and heir.

Sarala's mother. The only characteristic that really sets her apart is the fact that she has THREE black rings on her tail instead of the usual two on nearly all of my cheetah characters.

Nala's childhood friend, who grows up with her and ultimately persuades her to leave home in search of help.

Oldest son of Rehema and Hamaji, plagued with jealousy at the birth of his mother's second litter, and eventually leaving home in a quest to find out who he was...and finding much more than he anticipated.

A rogue lioness whom Rehema decided should be Kipofu's mate. At first she seems very normal, but as Rehema and her son discover, there is more than what meets the eye...

Kipofu's mother, who befriended Paka and advised her to be Kipofu's companion. She is the "narrator" of Paka of Azima.

Mother of Obi, Kishimonne, Kathleene, Shungi and Stellia, and mate of Hamaji. A loving mother left alone to raise her second litter by her mate, but also left with the realization that he was always with her.

A young male cheetah, son of Khan and Surina, father of Xandra and Jacko. His father was captures by hunters and his mother supposedly killed when he was young, causing him to flee his homeland. After a hard life, he returned home and bonded with a female cheetah named Sarala.

A female cheetah, responsible for Rinden's return to his homeland, mother of Xandra and Jacko.

Rehema's youngest male cub and Stellia's twin. He was chosen to be the king after Hamaji (who was supposedly the king), and to rule with his sister. He exiles his own brother because he suspects him of trechery, but later accepts him when Obi returns from his long journey.

Rehema's youngest cub, twin sister to Shungi. She is very friendly and innocent, and falls for Shungi when she is very young and becomes his mate when they reach adulthood.

Rinden's "neighbor," whom he met when they were cubs. Now ruler of the kingdom in which Rinden also lives, and father of Negasi.

Khan's mate and Rinden's mother. Her eyes are somewhat darker than Rinden's, and she retains a wisp of her childhood mane between her shoulders.

A polydactyl (many-toed) lioness, with seven toes on each of her forepaws and six on each of her back paws. Mischevious and sassy.

Rinden's youngest cub, born in a seperate litter than her older brother, Jacko. Not much is said of her in the story, but she is a very clever, swift and sassy young cub.

Sarala's father. It's about time I created some parents for her. His unique physical characteristics are four stylized bullseyes (two on each shoulder, two on each hip) and a vestige of a dark-tipped childhood mane on his forehead, as well as a single spot on his forehead that his daughter inherits.
