Happy early canon day!(well, Kopa WAS in books) Obviously, this is a collaboration between Mayah and I.
We were brainstorming about our own (better) version of TLK II. We decided that Zira's so far nameless daughter would be sent to attempt to join Simba's pride and assassinate both the king and his son. Kopa, the prince who has gone paranoid by his fathers countless tales of his past, immediately doesn't trust her. In the end, they do fall for each other, and learn the other sides of Mufasa and Scar's pasts and that both sides have done wrong, and that bitterness only leads to disaster. It's still in the works.
Mayah drew the characters and inked them, and I colored and added the background (and added some little details to the character

I thought it was so great and it combined my two favorite movies.

Everything aches and I don't think I could get out of my computer chair if I tried, but at least sick days can be good for something. So here we are, I cleaned it up a bit and added better colors and a background(if you could call it that :P).

I swear to God, everyone has been calling me lame for listening to Kimya Dawson for years and now she's just the bees knees and everyone listens to her. It's so aggravating, oh well, spread the musical love <3

Reunited and it feeeeels so gooood! Love, elation, peace, these are my emotions. Mufasa and Sarabi are by far my favorite characters despite their small screen time. Here's my contest entry. Took me a while, pretty much an hour or two last night and most of this afternoon. About 4 hours total I think. So enjoy and if you like it vote for it <3

A friend of a friends' little sister wanted a picture of Nuka when he lights the pridelands on fire so......I drew it. Blame the ugly background colors and weird fire on the movie, I tried to use the same colors they did.

Mkay, this took me about a week to finish. I must have listened to the Broadway soundtrack 8 times while I've done this :P. Simba's obviously based off his broadway counterpart (i have the plushie, so cute) and the BG is taken from the ROTPL CD cover. The stick I thought up myself :P. Special thanks to Jess and Mayah for helping me with ideas...and limbs :3
