kinda c&p from DA because I'm lazy:

This is from back when I wanted to make my comic in disney-style, an idea which I later discarded, but now I'm toying with this possibility again buuut I'll guess I'll still do it in my scribbly style and redraw it if people will like it.

I chose the name for Simba's cub in the comic to be Chaka instead of the popular Tanabi or Kopa, for reasons a) I like it and b) I'll keep this one a secret but it's not that hard to guess.
I'm still not 100% satisfied with his manestyle though...

first picture of 2010, let's hope it's not last.

So what's happening there... I guuuues they bumped into each other? Lion!Kou looks small but she actually is unusually small while hyena!Kou is unusually big. But yeah I messed up. "this doesn't deserve a proper background" is now my new excuse to why not just do it.

But enough about this, how is everybody doing? I really want to know. Did anyone found and answer to life, universe and everything that isn't numeric? If so please share :| if not, good pasta recipes will be fine too.

why don't i draw these three more often? because it's hard D: i promise i'll make a better picture of them when i get better.

no shading or anything because it's 2 in the morning and i don't think it would make this look any better.

CANON DAYS, HOORAY!!!
...now i realized i've been uploading anything but canon art lately, so here's promise i'll do one pic (mostly) from original TLK movie a day until Canon Days are over. think i can do it? :D i'll try!

as for this pic, i never hoped to finish it and here it is even with background slapped on, so i... don't really know what's happening here.

pic from... 2 weeks ago? i didn't really do my best and it shows. i was thinking about adopting Mo and Cili out on TT but... after drawing this it won't happen ;; i like them too much. i just need to make them a different story. at least Mo has a ref sheet now.

anyway, i just wanted to say i'm still around and everything, i just don't feel like drawing TLK stuff. sorry for not replying to your comments in the last pic... to make up for this i'll reply to each one next time! and big apologies to Bubba Smith, now i'm stuck with two WIP pics for you i hate, i'll try again and again until i'm satisfied. i need to keep my '09 resolution: never to post a trade or commission i'm not happy with >:C

the last pic inspired me to try different coloring method again.
Akin has also sensitive side you know :3

filters are fun but look good only when they're subtle... i still have to find the borderline between nice and hyped-up >_< i hope i didn't hurt anybodys eyes with this.

an old art from earlier... earlier this year i mean. i know it's crap by many standards, but there's something about it that makes me like it, probably because it's a little different from the stuff i usually upload here and it has tiny bit of my own "style" mixed in it.

forget what i said last time. i'm not satisfied with good, i want my art to look best. yet i keep making excuses why it's not :| i have to try harder.

i feel like deleting the comic and start over for the 3rd time. maybe i will. but i promise i'll finish it. and then keep redoing it until i'm satisfied.

real quickie pic of Seline's Akin, i'm trying to win him because he's so adorable (like i don't have too much characters already :| if i win Akin i'm gonna put some of my old characters for adoption.. i think i'll do that either way}

since i don't have exact spot in a story for him yet i tried to make at least this picture interesting. i noticed hardly anyone draws lions eating, no wonder, with their choice of food and TLK being kiddie movie. lack of blood in this can be therefore logically explained by... i don't know, the zebra was dead for a while or something? ^^;

BTW, i'm still determined to finish my comics (haha) but it won't work the way i wish so i'll use simple style like in this picture instead. hope that will do the trick.

i can't believe it, it's been almost 5 years, yes, 5 YEARS since i drew my most popular picture. here's the promised remake.

i rate my satisfaction with this 8.5/10, one and half points down for my inability to draw Simba and for background that won't offend anybody but still isn't up to my standards.

kourukon is now officially a hyena :> no worries, i will still draw the lion version of her too.

i'm finally satisfied with the design but none of these pictures seemed good enough to make it into a reference sheet so i've put them into one bigger boring pic.

i should do something with background next...

sup dawgs, i'm (temporary) back - and as unoriginal as ever!!!!

well, to be honest i'm still busy but i missed you all so much. how is everybody doing? :D did i miss some delicious dramas? tell me everything!

i'll be drawing for myself now, hope those i still owe pictures don't mind. i need to get confident again before working on that D:

oh and btw, i've had it with yahoo so i'm switching to kourukon at gmail.com if anyone needs to contact me. my MSN addy will be changed to the same address too if anyone wants to add me... but i warn you, i had it for months and only used once, so... eheh.
