My continuation of the Lion King:
After Scar’s death, Zira and the other outlanders were stayed in the Pride lands. As a cub, Vitani and Kopa were friends, but Zira had it planned to have Kopa killed. She told Vitani to take him to the outlands so she could come later and finish him off. Vitani sees Kopa waiting by a tree; he had been waiting for his father, Simba who stood him up on his promise to teach Kopa to pounce. The go off to the outlands and Vitani starts out her mother’s plan by getting him thrown into the water with the alligators, but she could bring herself to have her best friend killed and so saves him.
Just then, Kopa hears Simba calling out for him and Vitani suggests he goes to the gorge, where she’ll meet him later. However, Zira arrives, saying how the dam is about to break and Simba finds out that that’s where he’s gone. The three rush over to the gorge, but by the time they get there, the dam has already broken and there is nothing left. Zira congratulates Vitani, who feels extremely guilty, while Simba is devastated and exiles everyone in league with Zira. However, Kopa had managed to escape death by climbing onto a log and jumping into a crevasse until the water had past. He goes back to Pride Rock and miss hears the conversation between his parents, thinking they were saying that he was nothing but trouble, but they had a new cub to look forward to. Kopa was furious and ran away and meeting with the hyenas. He became their leader and with them planned to take revenge on Simba and become king.
He plans to trick his sister, Kiara into the gorge and make the hyenas create a landslide, but the hyenas lure the wrong lion and when he realizes that it is Vitani down in the gorge, he rescues her. When she discovers he’s alive, she’s absolutely thrilled and romance begins to kindle. In the mean time, Kopa is re-planning his revenge; he found out that Vitani has a half-brother, Kovu, who is Kiara’s mate. So he plans to make a scene that looks like Kovu is attacking her and he would come to the rescue. Simba would be so thankful that he would make Kopa king.
Kopa’s plans do not work out how he expected though; his growing feelings for Vitani, makes him question hurting Kovu, not to mention that he has learnt that Kiara is pregnant with the future heir. Instead, he is coaxed by Vitani to see Simba and he finally gives in. He and Nala burst out in joy to see that they’re son is still alive and Kopa feels happier than he has ever done before – but he had forgotten that he had instructed the hyenas to go ahead with his plans and rushes to stop them. The hyenas realise that they had been tricked and manage to kill Kopa, like they had Scar.
Shortly afterwards, Kiara gives birth to twins, Staarabu and Jarabi who are constantly bickering about who is going to be the leader, Staarabu, the responsible of the twins, or Jarabi, the male. A few months later, when the twins are teenagers, Vitani gives birth to Kopi, named after his father, but born blind. Vitani is very tough on him, giving him lessons on how to defend himself and use his other senses, knowing there is no sympathy in the wild. As time goes on, Simba passes away and Kovu becomes king, with Kiara as queen. One day, a rogue lion called, Tormer travels through and has an affection for Vitani; she has his cub, a daughter named Zelzi, but is not as attached to her as she is Kopi, who she now believes should be the next king because he is Kopa’s son and therefore, Simba’s grandson. Zelzi is frightfully jealous of Kopi and one day attempts to kill her brother, from behind, but Kopi’s training allowed him to sense her coming and he managed to evade her attack. Vitani is outraged and in a moment of fury goes to attack Zelzi – though meaning her no serious harm. Tormer protects his daughter, now off to kill Vitani, but Kopi is there and challenges him. They fight for a long time, until Kopi finally kicks him with his back legs into a cave. The force creates an avalanche of rocks that traps Tormer inside so he dies of starvation or lack of oxygen. Zelzi runs away to the outlands and though Vitani tried to stop her, she is unable to.
In the meantime, Kovu and Kiara agree to allow Kopi to be the next king due to his bravery and proving that he is not weak as he was once perceived. Staarabu does not mind this, but Jarabi becomes jealous and without thinking, instantly runs off to the outlands to find Zelzi, who he was close to. They decide to go off to another part of the savannah and star their own pride, having four cubs of their own, Casus, Leo, Afia and Tannani. while Jarabi has several other cubs with other lionesses. However, in a drought, both Jarabi dies; Zelzi dies shortly after, while giving birth to Tannani, leaving Casus to be king. Leo challenges him to the throne, giving Casus a Scar across his chest when he refuses to fight. Instead, Casus leaves the pride, not wanting to fight for a position he does not want; unknowingly his younger siblings follow, leaving them all in exile. In their travels, they find themselves at Pride Rock. Kovu confronts them, not wanting any more trouble, but Casus insists that they do not want to fight and are happy to live under their rule. Allowing this, Kovu accepts them into the pride and Casus becomes Staarabu’s mate, while Afia becomes Kopi’s. As the years go bay, Kovu, Kiara and Vitani pass away from old age, leaving Kopi as king, with a daughter, Drusilla and Casus has two daughters, Kia and Starlight.
