new character-- a sparklecivet C: i couldn't decide whether to draw a civet or a genet so it turned into a generic viverrid, but i'll probably draw her as a more slender african civet from now on.

was drawing faces of the TLK lions, to practice making my lion faces look different. the first is Nala, and it's basically the same thing as I did in Sketcher one day. MY ART IS BORING AND REPETITIVE GOD 8(

also this is how I draw lions usually and it's really a lot more fun than strapping myself down to the TLK STYLE EXACTLY lololol

so creepy looking! gosh Nala.

also in my world Nala has freckles. >:| just. hush. ok.

also, I like eyebrows a lot. Just. eyebrows in general. don't judge

Avevo deciso disegnare Kovu, e mio amico mi ha detto di dargli occhiali e la coda scintillante, non so perché. XD Poi ho deciso di farlo completamente emo, per gioco. Già aveva gli occhiali, la cicatrice, e la pettinatura, così, perché no? Ho fatto la scintilla con Blingee

I'd decided to draw Kovu, and my friend told me to give him glasses and a sparkly tail. IDK why, XD So I decided to make him completely emo, just for fun. He already had the glasses, scar, and hairdo, why not? Added the sparkles with Blingee.

The two cubs playing with Nala in the mud, Tibuka (Muddy) and Chafua (Dirty). XD From the comic "Dirty Cubs." :3 I named them, though. I like these guys, they're cute.

an idea for Tanabi . . . I tried to make him look like both Simba and Nala, instead of just edited Simba. XD Because with Simba and Mufasa looking so alike, the family line could start getting a bit redundant. :P And I wanted to give him that light rim around the face that happens on real lion's manes.

He would make a much better king than Kovu. x)

At least, I think so. C:

A doodle of a new character from a TLK comic. "King" Joe. XD I love his random European name. Even though it means something in Swahili, but I don't think "broad-billed roller" is what Disney intended. :P The comic with an English translation is here: A%20false%20ancestor/

Mheetu, Nala's brother. He was a concept character in TLK. This is pretty much my take on him. I'll probably change a couple things later, but for now, this'll do. :3

I figure he's Simba and Nala's age, which makes more sense, considering how lionesses work [and it bugs me how small the "litters were]. :B He's just . . . not cool and tags along with his sister, and is thus pretty annoying to them. XD Hey, you don't have to be younger to be annoying. :P

I suppose Taka ran here and met the hyenas after he got his scar. He blamed it on his brother [I'm still thinking about how he got it in the first place], whom the hyenas disliked more than lions in general. I guess Taka secretly hung around with them, and took to calling him Scar, and that stuck.

Yes, I know about the buffalo 6NA thing, but I like to think his scar is somewhat mroe symbolic. XD;;

Proportions usually aren't my biggest worry, but when it comes to what size characters are in comparison to each other ... well, I get totally lost. XD So I made this. It shows the TLK characters in comparison to each other. It's as accurate as I could make it, having reffed screenshots with two characters in them. :)

I wonder how many could guess the characters without the names? :D

No Sarafina. There's only one shot of her, and she's laying down, so she's impossible to measure. XD

My part of a canon art trade with The Unknown Soul. She asked for Kovu with a fuller mane (it's hard to see here though. D:), and maybe Kiara/cubs.

I like the cub designs and I think I shall keep them.

Kiara's such a freakin' Sarabi Wannabe. Yeh, her pose is reffed from that one screenshot. ._.;;
