What's that style where you exaggerate one feature of a character? I saw Makani do it over on dA and this reminds me of it.

I've always LOOOVED Malka's design. I love reading the theories about Malka being Kovu's dad, too. 8D (I know, I have a fictional Kovu's dad character, but Malka is just....win.) So I made his adult design slightly similar to Abari and Ilunga's.

The cry that Queen Kiara belted out to the skies struck so much fear into her subjects, both those of her pride and her prey, that there was a moment of silence. Her screamed prayer and curse in the ancient tongue echoed off of Pride Rock, but was soon drowned out by the roaring of those looking on. The pride sang their approval, as Kovu sat with his children apart from the pride with the rest of the mourners. Muffy looked up with curious green eyes at his father.
"Papa, why is Mommy so angry with Grampa Simba?" he asked. Kovu closed his eyes briefly against a wave of fresh grief, and replied,
"Because Simba left without telling her goodbye."

Kiara turns into the Warrior Princess of Pride Rock Hur hur.

Dang...George Clooney was a doll in this movie. I love me a dirty man.

Kopa (right) sings that famous Soggy Bottom Boys song to Vitani about his troubles, even while keeping a smile on her face, making her realize life is bad on both sides of the tracks for some people.

This is actually a scene from 'Turning the Tables' in the future. Stay tuned. ;D

The two of them gazed at each other for a while, frozen in time, and then they were running. Her best friend, her childhood sweet heart, her dear, dear Ahadi had returned to her. And all she could manage to say in a broken whisper was, "You came back...you came back!"

Redid Uru's design since a lot of people didn't seem to respond to her well.

Because not every tale about love is neither true nor happy.
I've always thought that in the canon universe, Scar and Zira were together, and maybe at first by choice, but later because of one small but endearing thing: misery loves company.
In the beginning I think they were pretty enfatuated by each other. But as we all know, either by experience or as a third party member, even supposedly destined lovers fade out of their 'Honeymoon phase.' Eventually, Scar's narcissistic, self-loving ways overpowered his affection for Zira, and either as a result or left to her own devices, Zira started to slip into a jealous insanity that made it impossible for her to rationalize the acts and emotions of others.

Colors: Black, yellow and red.

BLOOD WARNING!!!!!!
"Unnngh...G-Gramma...?" Kopa weakly lifted his head as Zira put a paw on his ribcage and shoulder and dug her claws in deep, sneering over one shoulder at Sarabi. "Gramma...i-it hurts, Gramma..."
"Get your paws off of him!" Sarabi snarled, crouching with her belly close to the ground. "You get your claws off of the prince!"
"Prince!? Pah!" Zira spat. "This little termite infested rat?! He's no more of a prince than you are a queen! I'll show you a prince, just you wait!"
The death blow was dealt before Sarabi could even take in her next breath.

"Zira...you always follow my orders, do you not?"
"As you command me, your majesty."
"And you have never once faltered to obey me? No matter how demeaning or horrific the task?"
"No, sire. Never....why do you question my loyalty, sir?"
"It's my sister."
"Your...sister?"
"Sarafina."
"She's your sister...?"
"Yes. Though not by blood, we were raised as cubs when my father became king. But you see...she has seemed to have forgotten her familial ties as of late."

Afterwards he goes on about how Sarafina might cause an uprising, bla bla bla, he cannot tolerate disobedience among the ranks, bla bla bla, Sarafina must be eradicated, bla bla bla.

Just wanted to show how blind we can be made by the promise of higher stature.

A bruise formed over Sarafina's muzzle as she bared her teeth at him. Her vision swam, and she told herself to ignore the profusely bleeding wounds and the horrible ache in her skull.
"Scar, what has gotten into you?!" she snarled. "Call your dogs off! I've done nothing--"
"Done nothing? Oh of course you've done nothing. Simply by being, sister dearest, you've brought this on yourself. You only have you and your wayward daughter to blame."
"My what?! Nala is your niece!! Your family!! I am family!!!"
"Enough of this nonsense." Moonlight reflected off of his eye's, jabbing into her. "Finish her, Zira."
"As you wish, your majesty."

POORLY DRAWN BLOOD ALERT

My take on how Taka got his Scar. I think Ahadi was a typical male lion, albiet a bit...um...psychopathic, and with a mean temper. I think Taka was firstborn, onyl Ahad made a last minute decision and chose Mufasa. It sort of makes sense of you remember two of Scar's lines:
"Whyy, if it isn't my big brother, descending from on high, to mingle with the commoners!"
"Well I was first in line...until the little hairball was born."
Hey, if the shoe fits.

Also, my favorite theory by a fanfiction writer on how Taka got his scar is that when he was a cub a honey badger bit his eye and it nearly popped out. I wish I had the link to the story it's very interesting.

When Zira brought the two cubs, one called Kovu and the other Vitani, and left them in Nuka's care, he taught them of the Great Kings, like his father had. And, with his addled brain, he eventually forgot Vitani and Kovu's stories of a green eyed lioness, and the sister Zira had killed.

One night, Nuka and Vitani went into the Pridelands to watch Kovu on the rise of Pride Rock. Nuka looked around and, with a smile on his face, he said, "I remember this place?"

"Do you now?"

"Yeah...this is where I was born! And Dad, too...and Aunty Ukue! U wonder if she's still here?"

"Ukue....?"

Uru's albino. :o OH NOES. I mean, her name does mean 'diamonds' or something like that...I figured I'd make her look more....light. This Uru design is of my creation.

I was informed (when I posted this picture actually) by Kimanda that I have my facts wrong. D: Uru in this picture isn't albino, she's leucistic. If you don't know what that is here's an example of what a real one might look like.
