Ingo gets the tablet treatment. I like using the tablet. I feel my drawings are much more "true" to how I really draw - not quite the same effect when I scanned and then inked and coloured pictures.

Hmm, wasn't sure if I should upload this, considering it came out a lot more crap than I intended, but I decided to anyway seeing as I did spend a long time on it.
I've realised the lines are crap because I was using the pencil tool instead of the brush tool *sighs*

And here's the coloured version. I think my image converter has slightly darkened the colours, but the colours are still more similar to the original design Saigon created than my first pic of Artemis, so its ok. Artemis will look like this from now on!

So yeah, in referral to Brian's latest comment, if you've got wolfies in your art, please don't upload them on TLKFAA - I mean, come on, it's not called "TLK" fanart archive for nothing, people. And a lot of people use their so-called "Ethiopian wolves" as an excuse to draw European and American wolves, and that's almost as bad, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I love wolves, they're magnificent creatures. and I used to love drawing them. But that doesn't mean I'd upload wolf art here. Get urselves Deviant accounts, y'hear?

My new char! It's Artemis, he's a jackal, gonna be a new boisterous friend for good ol' Ingo and Roko! I adopted him from the generous Saigon - thanks so much! Will be drawing this guy lots I reckon ^^

New character! This is Ingo's best friend, Roko. (Pronounced Roe-ko, not Rokko, if you see what I mean).

Roko popped into my mind this afternoon while I was staring at my ruler (which, incidentally, has photos of a real-life lion on it). I used the RL lion's colours for Roko. I swear, the colours are just like this.

Nature can be fun sometimes. ^^

update: have picked "Uki" as her name - thanks Nika for the suggestion! It means "honey" in Swahili, so quite appropriate I think, considering her colouring.

Djuma (angrily): "Whaddya mean there's a bunch of Outlanders on their way to Pride Rock?! I won't let any scraggly no-hopers in MY kingdom!"

Ninga (smirking): "They're not the only ones on their way to Pride Rock..."

Ninga is about to reveal to Djuma that not only are Kufa, Khiva and Gopa on their way, Tamu is coming back too...

Edit: I have fixed Ninga's design. I was drawing her terribly before - she now looks much better and much more like the design Nika made for me ^^

Kufa: "Our mother... she was an Outlander."

Tamu: "Well, my father was an Outlander too before he joined Simba's pride."

Khiva (thinking): "We never thought of that.."

Kufa finally realises that he has more in common with Tamu than he thought. Shortly after this scene the three lions along with their friend Gopa decide to return to the Pridelands to face their past.

After Djuma's little outburst in front of Nala and Kiara, Tali goes to try and reason with him about Tamu but Djuma is too stubborn to listen. And yes, that is Ninga smirking away in the background!

IN this scene, Djuma is warning Nala and Kiara that if Tamu ever sets foot in the Pridelands again it will not be for very long.. Ninga has twisted Djuma's mind and turned him against his brother - Djuma is convinced that Tamu has returned in order to compromise his position as next in line for the throne. Simba and Kovu are away looking for Tamu.

new char, Calina. my best friend Mickael named her ^^ - she's from Kufa's pride (outlanders i guess) and more than anything she wants peace between Simba's pride and the Outies. Now I think of it, She kinda looks like an outlander version of Nala lol ^^ She also has a big crush on Kufa and hates Ninga.

LOL poor Djuma, he is so disillusioned - will he ever know the truth??

OK, well, after Ninga manages to worm her way into Djuma's heart, she whispers terrible lies in his ear to convince him that Tamu has returned to the Pridelands with three outlanders with the sole intention of overthrowing the Pridelanders and claiming the Pridelands for his own.......

Part of my fanfic. Ninga has returned to the Pridelands and is threatening Kufa that she will tell Simba and Kovu which pride he really comes from.... (i.e. the outlanders). Kufa is scared that Simba/Kovu etc won't trust him anymore even though he left the outlanders with Khiva and Gopa.

This is 4 Takashari as part of a trade: its my char Kufa, because I know how much u love him! I know its not historically possible for him 2 ever have met Scar, but i thought this vision Kufa has of Scar is appropriate cos it shows how much Kufa resents Scar for making his mother join the outlanders & refuse 2 return 2 Simba's pride after the big fight @ the end of SP. Thanks to Nika for this excellent new character! it's "Ninga" - she becomes Djuma's love interest in my fan-fic. I reckon she is from Kufa and Khiva's old pride (i.e. the outlanders) and she has returned to stir up some trouble.... I thought you deserved this first picture, Nika, seeing as you created Ninga for me! Thanks!

In this scene, Kufa has kinda apologised for so distant and aloof with Tamu since he joined up with them. They have found some common ground too, in that they both miss their families.. so maybe they can be friends...

This forms part of my fanfic yet again. This is just after Tamu has fled the Pridelands, after both he and Djuma thought that Tali had died (because of Tamu accidentally). However, after Tamu ran away, Tali woke up and so Djuma is feeling guilty because he told Tamu never to come back. Kovu has arrived and is suspicious of what really happened - Djuma told him that Tamu ran away like a coward.

Well, since I have now got a new computer, I am able to use my scanner!! However, using the same painting program on a different computer is causing my pictures to come out a bit funny >_< I can't win! However, this picture is the only one that has come out looking fine. Tamu has tumbled into Tali.

Khiva decides to intervene when Djuma starts getting angry at Tamu after his return to Pride Rock.

Basically Khiva is saying "give him (Tamu) a chance!"

I'm not quite sure where Kufa is heading off to, but Khiva seems to be saying "I'll come with you!" and Kufa is thinking "whatever.." I think this may be the scene before Kufa, Khiva and Gopa bump into Tamu in the savannah.

Here are my three new characters, Khiva, Gopa and Kufa (from left to right) that Tamu meets when he is exiled from the Pridelands. They are a small coalition of lions, with Khiva and Kufa being brothers and Gopa being a childhood friend of theirs. They are wandering through the savannah looking for a good place to settle and make a pride of their own when they come across Tamu.

Here is Kovu and Kiara with their two sons and Tali (notice that Tali is with Tamu). This is at the end of my fanfic when all has been resolved between the two brothers (djuma and tamu). And Djuma is happy for his brother to be with Tali ^_^

Tamu (aka Dommi) is Djuma's little brother. He is very playful and constantly trying to impress Tali. Unfortunately his over-enthusiasm for life tends to get him in trouble a lot and as a result Djuma always seems to be one step ahead...
