"Maa-aaaa...not in front of Nala!"

...

1) I need to figure out a way to make my outlines look more natural. They always get in the way of a good Photoshop job.

2) The colour/contrast settings of the computer I'm working on at home are all sorts of messed up, so when I upload these and look at them on a different computer, the colours look distorted.

3) I'm gonna try to upload one more picture before I go back to college town...

4) I'm thrilled with my Nala but disgusted with my Sarabi.

"Your Majesty...would you have me kiss your feet?" And the beautiful lioness with the coat of burnt sand dipped low to the ground with a flourish.

Her blatant mockery of his crown stunned Mufasa into grinning awkwardness, and it was all he could do to suppress the thought: he was in love with his childhood friend.

"Your kisses don't belong on my feet, Sarabi."

Her humble stance remained, but her golden eyes flashed up from beneath her brow; her voice lost its purr. "I suppose they...don't."

And after a pause that seemed to Mufasa to still the setting sun, she leapt from the clearing and back toward the pride, afraid of the green eyes which might've seen.

I haven't had Photoshop or anything like it for a year here at CWU...so I decided to try my hand at painting. This is the second painting I've ever done. I think I'm not too bad.

As the queen's sobs drenched even more the rain-filled sky, the flawless execution of Scar's long-awaited revenge was, strangely, not on his mind.

His brother had fallen to his death, his nephew had fallen victim to hyenas, yes...but for the first time in years, Sarabi had let herself fall into his embrace.

"There, there, Sarabi." Cautiously, the new king let his tense paw rest behind her neck, and after a moment, he even remembered to breathe.

"You go to see him in broad daylight, Sarabi?"

Her stride halted. Of course he'd seen her. Throwing her gaze over her shoulder in his direction, she was suddenly furious; not that she was caught, but that she felt caught, and felt the need to justify herself. "I see with clarity in daylight," she returned, keeping her voice low and knowing that the allusion to shared memories under the cover of night would not be lost on him.

Attention. Nobody follow in my example! For I have broken the rules, and uploaded something not having anything to do with the TLK universe. I am terribly sorry. I will never, EVER do so again...but I was proud of this and it's unlike anything I've ever done before. No reference, dress design is mine (all Gypsy-ish). Go Christine! She is singing for her Angel. She loves him, you know.

Sarabi raised an eyebrow at her smirking husband. "You should have sympathy for your brother, Mufasa."

Mufasa swallowed a deep laugh. "Sympathy is merely the mature stage of pity. Now pity...that I have." The two pairs of eyes watched as the rambunctious lion-child--Zira, was her name--pestered the dark prince. "It's pitiful, indeed!"

Not much of a point to this, but I thought I'd show you all how I do my shading. I select the separate portions of my drawing to be shaded, and shade them on a new layer with dark red. When I'm through with that, I set the opacity of the eraser to about 60% and erase the shadow layer.
