This is for zalay’s Rafiki contest. Needless to say, he is very much referenced for colors and just in general since I never drew Rafiki before. So please don’t get on me about how the feet and hands look. Would stink if I lost because of hands... My first and possibly last Rafiki. Poor mouse hand... T_T

“Congratulations, my queen. You are not sick at all, but you are having the next king.” Rafiki smiled, placing his hand on Nala’s side.

Nala blinked for a moment, then a wide smile crossed her muzzle. Simba was going to have an heir, although she personally hoped for a female to carry on after her. But there would be other cubs.

Sarabi and Kiara as suggested by vitani995. I do know that I should draw Sarabi more often though since I think I finally got her colors right.

I don't know if I'll ever get the thing I want... I know I need it for Mother's Day, but I'm starting on my pic now.

Anywho, I might reopen trades and requests but I don't know. I'm still not exactly that great on the self esteem scale right now. And I feel worse when people don't want to do their half for me and I get my half done T_T

Rant over. I'll think of something canon for Mother's Day.

Sarafina by herself. Another piece of canon, hopefully getting a little closer to requirements for something I wanted... and still do want. Important events are coming up.

I'll still work on Sarabi and Kiara, and Kovu with Nuka. I'll accept other ideas too. But I hope I'm allowed to upload at least one piece for an artist contest.

And I'm actually drawing canon... hoping this ups my chances of something I needed a few times this month. Now my Virginia Tech tribute is late T_T

But this is Nala and Sarafina. I don't know who I should do next for another canon drawing, but perhaps you can give me ideas?

T_T Withdrawn from site wide contest. I don't have a snowball's chance... Mental note: No more site contests. I'll just keep her for the heck of it.

And sorry for the cruddy butterfly, but I wanted to have Uru looking at something instead of nothing at all.

My version has a small diamond birthmark in slightly darker fur on the inside of her right front leg.

My half of a canon trade with keishkeish88. I hope you like it. I never drew Tojo or his birds before, so I apologize if they look weird.

But I think I like him now that I drew him. I love anything with blue eyes, so he's a pretty cool lion. And I love his birds.

For a note, I'm still open for trades. Please don't be afraid to ask. I'll just be pre-occupied the first two weeks of December.

Mheetu and Sarafina starring in Mommy Mountain.

I thought this was cute, and I haven't draw Mheetu before. So please don't hurt me if his eye color or fur is off. I figured that while his big sister was off playing Mheetu would be playing sit on Mommy Mountain.

Sarafina smiled, watching her young cub play with the gazelle fawn. She knew in time she'd learn to kill prey much larger than it, but for now it was best to let her train and try to catch the smaller prey item while learning the skills she'll need to hunt further down the road.

"Very good Nala. You're a fast learner. And one day I'll take you out with Sarabi and the other lionesses on the hunt. I'm proud of you." She smiled, watching her daughter with only love and pride in her aqua green eyes.

OK, I know cheetahs do this for their cubs. But I figure lionesses would too. Bring back a live gazelle or antelope fawn so the cubs can practice their hunting skills later on.

For gabriela's Sarafina and Sarabi contest. I figured they were both happy for each other when they were pregnant, since we know Nala and Simba are pretty close in age. Probably a month difference or so, give or take a few days.

Sarabi: Of course, Saffy. And you will be too. And I just know our cubs will be good friends as well.

My two favorite lionesses in honor of canon day(s). The shading was a pain, but I hope it looks alright.

Nala: Are you sure that I'll be a good mother and Queen, Sarabi?

Sarabi: Of course, dear. Simba loves you dearly, and I know the both of you will do both myself and Mufasa proud. Don't worry about me or Simba, worry about yourself and your soon to be born cub.

Cub Sarabi because I haven't really drawn her in cub form before, and she is my favorite lioness. Always will be.

Scar for my half of an art trade with Harpendum. I'm sorry if I messed up his colors, I'm not used to drawing him let alone coloring him that often.

But I think I did alright. Not my best piece though.

And I tried a new lining technique, so please comment and tell me what you think. Just be kind, please?

*WARNING Blood* This is my entry for The Really Wild Show site wide contest. I know that in reality Pumbaa would have become a snack for Nala so...

What if Nala had managed to catch Pumbaa before he darted under the log? Just sad my first time drawing Pumbaa has to be of him deceased. Poor guy.

And I'm aware the grass isn't that great either... I'll learn eventually.

Nala and Kiara during a rare snowfall in the Pridelands. Drawn in an hour, colored in two, counting time it takes to do each snowflake by mouse.

I'm aware the anatomy is funky and Kiara's head is off compared to her body. And she's on her hind legs because she's trying to catch the snowflakes.

But my advice, never do snowflakes or stars with a mouse.

Nala again ^_^

This time she's just herself, no costume. There is a story behind this pic. She is on her way to find food for her pride, the 'death' of Simba still weighing heavy on her mind as well as the rule of Scar and the hyenas.

What if she fails? What if she never returns with help? Her mother, Sarabi and the rest of the pride will pass on because of her. She is determined not to let that happen.

Nala as an angel for Halloween. The wings look off and don't mind the halo. I wanted to draw Sarabi, but she's still hard for me to get right.

Since I can't do anything for Halloween, I decided to dress up one of my favorite TLK characters.

Mufasa and Simba as part of an art trade with Elsa. Sorry it took me so long to get it done.

This is the first time in a long time that I drew Mufasa and young Simba. The last time was after TLK originally came out and this looks way better than my first drawing of them.

I used my Sandicast sculpture of Mufasa and Simba as the pose reference. I loved it because it had Simba with a piece of his father's mane in his mouth.

Yay, more canon art for me. This is something I had in my mind for awhile really. So I decided to draw Kiara with Sarafina. I apologize if the colors are off, I tried to get as close to them as I could. The conversation is pretty much like this:

Kiara: Grandma, what was mom like when she was a cub?

Sarafina: Well let's see... your mother was a lot like you. Very playful, rambunctious... loved to get into trouble with your father. But she was also friendly and still is today.

Kiara: Wow... that's so cool!
