This is always how I pictured Scar when he was little cub Taka with his hyena pup friends/cohorts. Scar's design is really difficult to transfer as a cub, since he's not heavily built like Mufasa so I guessed he wouldn't be a tubby cubby. I spent so long on the background & it still came out terrible, but oh well *shrugs* The hyenas just had to look fatter & less hairy.

Don't worry, I'm not depressed ^^; I was just feeling ignored & left out the other day & had to get my feelings on paper. Happy, bouncy, shut-up-or-I'll-hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-tree-branch Spike has her moments but she's here to stay ^^;

A scene from TLK6NA - Nala's Dare, when Chumvi & Kula started making fun of the other animals ... and Nala is not impressed ;P I'm happy with the way Kula, Chumvi & the rocks turned out but the background is a little too bright >< Plus Nala just looks demented. For TheUnknownSoul's contest on Lilymud ^^

So I was randomly daydreaming & this thought crossed my mind. If Simba felt so much guilt over his dad being killed, even after he found out it wasn't his fault, how must Kovu have felt when Nuka died because of him? And then this appeared: Kovu's Nightmare.

Nuka & Kovu are hand-drawn: background is 100% mouse-drawn (yack).

Wow, lookit all the actual Lion King fanart O____o

Anyhoo, this is how I pictured Mufasa & Taka/Scar's mother, named by Disney as Uru in TLK6NA, to look. Kinda like a female Scar, but with a softer jawline, brown tailtuft like Mufasa, & a HUGE nose. Not just for Muffy, but since I believe the idea that Nuka is Scar's son & he has to get that massive nose from somewhere ^^;

Meh. It's a simplistic background, I know, but I kinda like the way Spike came out. Looks better without the shading IMO, & I'm gonna use the main pic on my main page, despite the front paw looking weird without the branch ^^;

Crappy background syndrome strikes again =/ Interesting point about Spike's baby fur - I noticed from a clouded leopard cub photo that cubs have much darker fur with dark blue eyes.
