My life is getting in the way of my life and thus I can't really post here. I mean, I could, but I'm not drawing any TLK! I've gotten interesting in other things and I've just completely lost the TLK style. However, I have found some old humanization sketches, so they will be up here soon!

Oh, and, Ezana, I'm very sorry my half of the trade is taking so long. I forgot my brilliant idea, so I have to start from scratch when I have the time.

Remade this, the old version bugged me so much.
Anyway, Simba's deigned to stay in Hakuna Matata, so Nala's left in a huff. And Simba realizes that he can't go back on that, so he can never be with her, never see what remains of his family, and never find out what really happened that fateful day in the gorge.

I'm reasonably proud of this one. It's a lot better than the previous one. Obviously, it's TLKoB style, and that let me feel free to not finish the background and use some unearthly haze/weird scrolly things/ purple stuff.

Oh, and if you didn't notice, our poor hero is crying. I like the tear effect.

"Well, that's enough of that --and her. I never liked girls anyway."

Nala's just left, giving Simba up as a bad job. His friends didn't want him to go back home, and he was too scared of what he might encounter in the land where he had killed his father. As life went on for Nala, and ended for Scar's Pridelands, Simba spent the rest of his days with the pain that he hadn't taken his chance when he was young, and instead deigned to remain a abdicating bachelor in this eternal adolescence of Hakuna Matata.
Inspired by the current contest.
More TLKoB style.
I'm proud of the sketch, but I got tired with the botched painting so I covered everything up with purple light rays. Oh, and Timon's tail is in the right corner.

I saw TLKoB last Friday (for the first time in my life, I'm such a bad fan) and got really excited. I'm all hoarse now from all the obsessive cheering I did. Anyway, so these are some sketches inspired by it that I'll never finish, so here you go.

Expect more of this style in the future, as I'm in a TLK-style super rut.

Took a really long time (about an hour and a half) considering that I did this really sloppily. Of course, I took a break in the middle to watch watch?v=O8milJNj_W0 over and over and over again. That and watch?v=fphnOKS2aOw&feature=related.

For Galactacian, whom I admire and promised a AoTM picture. She's a Kiara/Vitani fan, so...


...I know, they look like they're in pain. Do star-crossed lovers ever look happy? They'll probably die in the end, after all. Because TLK:SP is supposed to be like Romeo and Julliet, right....? And Kiara/Kovu can't die 1) b/c it's a Disney movie and 2) they're cute together and are more fun alive anyway, whereas one was already inclined to pity Kiara/Vitani.

Just added that last bit after watching a couple rounds of clips of Upendi.

This picture is proof that I spend way too much time staring at the wonder that it kourukon's art.

On that note, I started sketchin' this while listening to Be Prepared... and then it switched to My Lullaby. You can tell what happened here.

Oh, btw, I have no idea what's up with the colors, except that maybe it makes them look more evil. If that's possible.

yay happy colors!
Anyway, I practicially butchered the sketch but I like the wierd shading and colors. Might make a nice banner... well, all my whims aside, hope everyone (or anyone at all) who's reading this had a nice 2007. But don't tell me about it, because I live in a country that's not supposed to think about the past, but look ahead to the future. (stinkyBush) Wow. Simba must be American.

Back when I was a kid, I had a plastic giraffe like those in IJCWTBK. It was freakishly on model, which made it all the worse when the cheap thing's head came off. Ever since, I've been rather partial to the giraffes(because the head came off?). Them and the leaf mane are the only parts of IJCWTBK worth watching (<--...that was a joke). Now, listening to it, on the other hand.... is awesome. I actually sung it with some friends at school a couple months ago. In front of our entire class. It was way too much fun for girls way to old to have anything to do with TLK.

Anyway... the first giraffe looks like a pelican with antennae. The middle one was reffed. And the last one looks like he's covered in mud.

To tell the truth, I noticed that a couple of my favorite artists like kourukon and KassyNaVerdis uploaded stuff of FireLemming's Shani recently, and so I thought, hey, I like Shani, why not mhee-tu?
(hehe *cheap humor*)

I'm obnoxiously proud of this. I think the drawing itself came out awesome, and the colors aren't bad. Anyway, cub Shani.

I read somewhere that an early plot point had Scar luring Mheetu into the gorge/stampede and adolescent Simba had to save him... so I figured I might as well draw it.

I'm rather proud of this, even though I got uber lazy and just drew shapes for the wildebeests. I also tried doing shadows differently and I like it.

I can upload the color version if anyone wants to see it.

Wow, a finished picture.
This sort of spawned from my realizing that the instrumental piece "To Die For" reminds me of a coliseum... in fact, the whole Stampede scene makes me think of a coliseum. I can't really explain it. Listen and maybe you'll get what I mean. Anyway, I've tried this several times, with different angles, perspectives, compostition... etc. I like this one. The little green things are the eyes of hyenas, watching as the only remaining gladiator flees into the sunset.

I humanized TLK characters. RUUUNNNN!!!! Obviously, I'm much better at people than animals *points at crap in gallery*. I rather like how these came out, but Simba's hair creeps my out. It's the color of his MANE MAN, 'kay???

It's Vitani! I totally guessed on the colors, and she's probably not on model,(due to my lack of screencaps or SP DVD or VCR to play my VHS that I've had since the movie came out and kept for sentimental reasons) but careth who?
