It was eight years to the day of the gorge incident. Sarabi, in the quiet of the night, climbed to the highest point on Pride Rock. A soft breeze brushed her fur, enveloping her in his gentle aura. As long as she remembered, she would never be alone.


My entry for the archive wide contest. I wanted a sort of mellow tone to the romance. It took so much time and studying to get ghost Mufasa right.

Well, the one thing I'm not too fond of is Sarabi. I'm not too good on canon art.
