I'm taking the day off school because a friend of mine, Adrian, died this morning at 14 years old. It is truely devastating to lose a friend so young...

I'm dedicating this picture to Adrian, and to all the other young lives around the world that have flickered out prematurely these past few days. I can't help but grieve and remember today.

EDIT: This was dedicated to Elsa as well, but the possibility has been raised that this was all a prank. Death is not something to be made fun of. There are real people that actually died today. Pretending to be one of them is disrespectful to their memory. I think today of all days we should be grateful to be alive and for the loved ones that are still active in our lives.

My 350th picture. But instead of a comic drawing celebrating an awesome number, it's dedicated to a certain disrespectful game in Band.

It's called "Fantasy Band," the creation of four male jer-- I mean friends. Similar to fantasy football, they have drafted teams of the "best" band members. Then they judge and rate and rank our skills/worth by what kind of feedback we get from our director.

Currently it's pissing everyone off... would you like to be some unwilling pawn in a stupid game?

Humor...

The piece is called Dance of the Jesters. If you play flute or clarinet, you should understand the apolcalyptic evil of the runs. It's all slurred sixteenth notes (that's four notes in a beat), with a 180 metronome marking (technically three beats per second). If you do the math, it equals TWELVE NOTES IN A SECOND!!!

Jacca, the younger of the two brothers. Jacca is intelligent, shy and introverted. He is somewhat feared because he bears a resemblance to his great uncle Scar, both in scrawny appearance and brillant mind. Kind and friendly, he keeps to himself mostly, making other pridelanders uneasy of the pale-skinned lion.
