This is Thema! =) Thema means "Queen" and is rightly fitting as she is the alpha female of her pack of striped hyenas. This character means a lot to me because I feel like Disney really villafied hyenas in their movie, yes they are lion's enemies but lions scavange off of hyena kills more than vice versa! So here is my "pretty hyena" ;)

Wee! I made a cougar character! Her name is Kasa which is Hope' Indian for "Dressed in furs". I placed her with my Jabara ;)

Oops! Jabara again, getting into trouble. Hey a girl's gotta eat! This took me quite a while to color, first hard core serious attempt at coloring with adobe AND detailed background ;)

Kambo! This is Jabara's brother, while he shares the handsome dark features of his sister he is obviously no better off, living on the outskirts of lion society he ilks out a quiet living meal to meal with the occasional company of his sleek sister.

Jabara loves hanging around the meerkat burrow, she gets to lounge in the shade and even gets the occasional hawk meal helping defend her little back scratching buddies. Another attempt at adding a background ^_^

Jabara is just minding her own business catching a nap in the shade of a tree when SMACK! Two rowdy cheetah cubs lost in play tumble into her and give her quite a fright! This picture was great fun to draw and was an excersize in backgrounds which I am notorious for leaving out >.<
