Finished product!!!!! u can add more layers of shading to make it look more 'in depth', u can add highlights the same way as shading....just futs with it until youre happy!

oh yea... and at the end, delete the sketch

Ok, this part is optional. take a medium-size roud smudge brush, and smudge the EDGES of your shadow on 'shadow' layer. and thats basic shading! I'll upload this finished picture in a few days, so you can see the final result ^^

Step four: create a new layer UNDER 'lineart' but OVER 'color' [dont remeber how? see step 3]. name it 'shadow'. set the layer opacity to 30. select the color black. with a medium, solid brush, color the shadowed parts of your lion. dont worry if the lines are messy-in the next step, it wont matter.

some good places to shade are: the stomache, the back of legs, under the neck, under feet, under chin.

you can stop after this step, if u want

Step three: create a new layer [call it color] UNDER your layer 'lineart' but OVER your layer sketch. to do this, select your 'sketch' layer and create a new layer. it should end up in between the two layers. then take a paintbrush and color your lion WITH THE PAINTBRUSH-no paint bucket!

Step two: create a new layer callled lineart, and do your lineart. dont delete your sketch layer.

Ok. There was a request for a shading tutorial on the buliten board, so i'm gonna make one!

Step one: scan your sketch and open photoshop (or whatever coloring program you use, i use photoshop)
