well, i must present you Crema (cream, in spanish), the zebramouse. my entry for Lucky´s contest :)
do i win the contest or not, i´m definitively keeping him :). he´ll be a great addition to Pirita´s (my Hyrax)gang (more characters pictures coming soon), and he´ll be the shy, taciturn guy, with alot more common sense than the others. he´s also a little gloomy, and a well-meaning guy. indeed the most innocent member of the gang!=p

entry for the current archieve contest "Kiara, oh Kiara" :). i am really happy with the results of this! why i do like Kiara? because she´s brave, daring and takes the initiative. i really love when she fights Zira (who i think is phisically much stronger than her)to actually protect her father (stronger, indeed!. and i wanted to represents this scene :)
another reason why i like her: she´s full of joy of life, something the majority of people (at least in da internetz) lacks of.
i hope you like it!! this picture took alot of time, and it was fun to do ^^.

well, first picture of this project, that has been in my head for quite a long time, and also that Firelemming requested (no, i´m not taking requests! don´t ask please ;) ). here are, Scar as a melanic jaguar (they´re not completely black) and the hyenas as maned wolves x3 (my favourite canid by far). i´ll show the hyenas as another species then (one that has pretty similar ways of life).
aaad... sorry about Shenzy, i always had problems capturing her expression...

what you´re trying to do doesn´t make any sense. besides, don´t you realize that those hyenas are starving as much as you lionesses?! what makes you fear them or that weak king of yours so much?!"
the fact that the lionesses needed of Simba to liberate themselves of Scar always bugged me alot... so what if they just rebeled agaist their king? (i did a fanfiction about this back in 1996 or so, in which Simba was actually killed by the hyenas)
i´ll leave you to decide if they might be sucessful or not =3. after all, the contest was about how would change the history if they kept the cut characters ;)

okay, i don´t tend to draw many random giftart, but...
Timali is just TOO awesome 8D. i´ve just recently finished to check her whole gallery (too late? blame on the university xD)and her stuff is one of the best i´ve seen, in any art community. her art manages to make me insanely happy, just like listening to Mika =3. not to mention that i loved the birdie since the very first time i watched SP
so well, a little picture dedicated for her :D. Teh Birdie, with my silly fursona Pirita =p. i thunk on a gift before leaving a TL;DR user comment (something i´ll eventually do), because i always found really nice when a random artist you´ve never heard of before surprizes you with one :)

okay, a picture of my new Hyrax fursona, this time colored :). she´s wicked fun to draw, and i´ve been playing alot with her design, cartoonishing her more :). her fur color is like my hair, and her eyes blue, like mine. i´ll add some info of her in my character section later...
(BTW, yay! i am working on two canon pictures! i was really blocked for canon last month :o. it seems to be lasting now. that´s good)

for Cat B´s contest :)
i must say that i love walking in the night, specially during the week, when there´s not too much people around. it´s generally a relaxing moment, a time to reflect, and i love it =3
so well... Nuka looks pretty blue here! he´s probably thinking about his mother, her favoritism towards Kovu, and why isn´t he the chosen one...
really, the picture doesn´t reflect how i feel right now in the slightest. i am so wicked happy because of some things in real life, and because i got several comissions (they´re open here too, of course).also, i´m sorry about the BG ^^; working on my comic´s fourth page during the three last days almost whithout any break left me sort of exhausted...

i am experimenting two things i don´t tend to here: realism (EPIC FAIL!!) and painting with watercolor pencils... and yup, they´re Simba, Timon and Pumbaa. notice they´re drawn in a "realistic" style, but with their original colors (well, more or less). Timon looks more like an Aguará Popé (however you call the South American raccoon in english) than like a meerkat, but oh well.
i had this idea in my mind since a quite long time, and decided to throw it to the paper when i saw the current contest theme. don´t quite like it, but i am submitting it anyway... the dialogue is based on a book i have, i haven´t watched the movie in years xp

hello again, TLKFAA! i am sorry i´ve been unactive these days... i´ve just been busy as hell! and feeling fairly down too, but better now.
so well... some new arts. i don´t really draw fishes really often, uh? and since this one, a notobranchius guentheri lives on Central Africa´s fresh waters, i guess they´re on-topic =3. i´ve bought a book about fishes and frankly, compared to them, we mammals are so dull!xD

my entry for the current contest,Walking on Water :)
seems like Ed is enjoying the bath alot!^^. and yeah, since there´s no sponges in the jungle/savannah, let´s make one with some plants tied to a branch xD
it took its time, but i am really happy with the results :). hope you like it!
and, BTW, notice that i´ve signed it as Aguará, instead of LobaFeroz. i´ll sign like that from now, but i am not sure if i want to change my username to AguaráGuazú, since other people changing theirs always confuse me xD
(anyway, sorry for my unactivity here... i have many exams those days, and i´m quite busy ATM.. but i´ll be a bit more free next week ;) )

i´ve just noticed that, evety time i´ve drawn Zazu, i made him besides another chracters...
so well, for a change, i wanted to draw a piece exclusively dedicated to him :). he´s a great character, and i think can stand out by himself.
here´s the hornbill, jailed as he was during Scar´s reign =(. poor him, i don´t think he had a gret time there...

an African Jabiru :). amazingly enough, it took "only" two hours and half.
i drew this after a failed attempt of drawing a regular Jabiru (a south american species). i really like those birds, and i remember that, some time ago traveling to visit a friend, i saw several of them besides the route (i´m Argentinian) in one of those lagoons in the north of the country where you can find many species of birds, all togeher: i´ve counted more than thirty species once!, i think that´s a pretty high number to be in a single lagoon. and besides, i am just an amateur bird-watcher, so there were probably more (and i´ve possibily confused some youngster with a different species, =p )
i love birds, i could sit to watch them by hours and hours...

i feel tempted to say "i´m not dead" x3. i´ve just been drawing alot of off topic, hence my unactivity here ^^;
seems like Kiara is disobeying daddy again =3. but the actual purpose of this picture, is practicing the Pridelands background, some textures (my tablet has less than one month <3 )and, mainly, the perspective, which was never my strongest point.
and besides, i just realized that this is the very first time i draw the Priderock. better ignore Kiara, i included her just to not make an empty bg, but i am very aware of how off model she looks =3
any suggestions to make it better is welcome. annoyingly enough, take off Kiara, the trees, and the rocks on the ground, and it looks really neat. maybe i´ll upload that version later

a cheap try of humor xp
i was always kind of amazed at the shapes in the Pridelands sky xp. i mean they were a bit too... well shaped.
so well... this came randomly =p. the funniest thing is that we see Kiara and Kovu pointing at several of them before the fluffy tailed rabbit and the fighting lions.

whatever xD. ignore the poor shading, this is not meant to be a masterpiece ^^.ehm... enjoy?

hello again people!^^
by first, i just want to tell you that i´ll be offline until the next tuesday (June 12th). the reason is that i have two exams, one on Saturday and the other that Tuesday. so, i haven´t checked your pictures yet, nor answered comments, but i promise i´ll do it as soon as i finish with those ;).
and as if studying for them two wouldn´t be enough, today i woke up with a very appropriate temperature -.-
BTW, here´s a picture of two carmine bee-eaters. entirely done with mouse (i don´t have a tablet, but normally scan a sketch and paint it), i know it´s pretty bad =p (the anatomy is wrong in them both, and i dn´t like the BG). so i don´t know if i´m keeping it ^^;

a picture to the contest, "focus on relationships". i know i´ll not win, just for fun ^^.
nothing very original, just Kiara playing with Nala´s tail, as lion cubs do. i´ve noticed that the majority of the pictures feature Simba and Kiara, but i haven´t seen many pictures about mother and daughter. and seems like Nala wasn´t as overprotective as Simba.
i am really happy that i found an accurate color to Nala, though i think Kiara´s look wrong...

a picture of Shenzi, Banzai and Ed (and a poor wildebeest xD). they´re great characters. and Hyenas, one of my favourite animals (altough this is a veeery long list =p)
here, i wanted to reflect the fact that Hyenas are awesome hunters, much more effective than lions: they manage to catch the prey in 90% of the cases.
they are known for their powerful digestive system, able to digest the entire prey (inluding bones, horns, and even hooves), as well as rotten meat.
about the picture, i think Ed does not look very well, but i hope you like it :). feel free to give any constructive criticysm

hey, don´t tell me they´re not cool ^^. i love hippos, rhinos and elephants, specially rhinos :). and, besides, they´re very fun to draw ^.^ .my least favourrite in the pic is the Hippo, but i think the others are okay. and since i like adding an envoirment, they three have their own simple "background"

an entry to Lucky´s contest :). you have to design a topi character with your style, and that´s what i did ^^ . as you may notice, my original style is not very TLKish... i wanted to try several expressions, and it was funny =p.
about the left horn´s darker tip, it was because when i browsed pictures, the majority of them weren´t enough clear, and i wasn´t sure if they have darker antler tips.... so i decided to include this spottie in just one horn =p
i hope it´s okay ^^

this picture has already a couple of months, but i wanted to fix some very big mistakes (for example, in the earlier version Nala´s toes were lighter, when they´re not, and Zazu looked awful)
the bad thing is that since i didn´t saved the whole pic in layers (but merged) i can´t change all the details i would like (Zazu´s pose, for example)
still, i like the pic enough to submit ^^.
and yup, Simba is being evilish again... planning something with Nala, at Zazu´s back =3. enjoy!

just a try of Timon. this guy is kind of hard, but yet fun to draw. i find myself some mistakes in his anatomy: the feet and hands look wrong, maybe too short, his body weird, and his butt maybe a bit fat... what do you think?
i love constructive criticism, so feel free to point my mistakes ;) (BTW, the trees in he BG do look better in the original, the scanner ruined it)
yeah, i do some traditional art, i´m working on an adult Nala pic too =3.
