My entry for the current contest. :) The color came out a little funky in the picture though.

Mediums used: black and white charcoal pencils, vine charcoal, and a kneaded and artist's eraser.

Heh, I drew this yesterday. My mom and I had an argument. Well, she just stood there while I tried not to yell at her. Thing is, I'm gearing up for graduating in the fall, and so I'm gonna be getting a steady job soon, and planning on moving out--and so she thinks that she can "help" me grow up by making me call different places. I was seriously angry. And still kinda am. I'll get over it though...some ventage and forgiveness...and I'll be good. :)

*Ventage warning…*
Not feeling well today because of many reasons.
I’m not going to school today because I’m sick. Sometimes I feel so fake w/ the friends that I have—whenever we get together, we just sit around, without a word. so awkward. The guy I like likes one of my good friends who is pretty much the definition of everything I'm not. And the one guy who does seem to like me is not someone I like, but one of my best friends likes him.
To top it all off, I’m supposed to help lead a church thing this weekend.

In short, to borrow my dad’s phrase, “Life’s kicking my butt.” Thank God for art.

P.S. I saw KanuTGL/Axell’s pic and I was like, “That’s how I feel. Scribbly.” Hope its ok I kinda copied that style.

More sketches. You can probably tell who all the characters are. And no, Vitani's not sniffing a butt--it's Mufasa's head! lol. All of them were on different angles on one piece of paper. XD

BTW--all of these were done in school today w/o refs of course. I'm pleased with how they turned out. I really had to focus on and think about the differences of each of the chars though.

Kiara, and me playing with my adult version of Taji.

I recieved funny comments about my drawings. This guy sitting next to me saw my Taji drawing and was like, "That looks like Simba grown up."

Gather round kids! I got a funny story from my youth I wanna share.
So when the Lion King first came out, I remember watching it with one of my friends, and we reached the part in the movie where Scar had just been attacked by the hyenas, and of course you don't ever see them after that. Now, I've always been the philosophical sort, so I asked her, "so... what happened to the hyenas?"
She replied, "They ate themselves."

This was of course, before SP, when they explained the hyenas' disappearance by Nuka's statement "...the hyenas ran off".

Neither of these answers satisfy me. 8P
