Nala was the first to welcome Tama’s new cubs, and did her best to encourage the other pride sisters to as well. Even if there was no doubt about who had fathered them, her valiance in birthing was certainly praiseworthy.
Zira, however, was furious. Just because her own cubs had died at birth, was that any reason for her to be cast aside like a sick wildebeest?
“That little wench thinks she can come in and steal him from me, eh? Well, we’ll just see about that.”

I saw Dante's picture, and it kinda went from there. I've done a few more sketches on this particular theme, so you'll see more.

After the ceremony, Simba and Nala led the new couple down into the ravine, to a sadly familiar place. Kovu, Kiara and Nala lapsed into solemn silence as their king told them the tale of Mufasa’s bravery and death.
“Never forget the sacrifice my father made here. And, may you, your children, and your children’s children, be spared his terrible fate.”
Every year after that, generation after generation of kings and queens made the same trip to the ravine, and paid their respects to the brave lion who risked everything to save his son.

This is a continuation of the last pic. I had some dialogue here...but I had a thought. I'ma make you guys write it! The first three ppl to comment with their dialogue here will get a pic with a nice bg and your char/fursona. Just b'cuz. ^v^
BTW--same bg as the other, I just added some warmer colors, because it's later in the day now.

I’ve noticed over the course of a few months that many people seem to get Sarafina and Nala mixed up. Nala does look similar to Sarafina, but they have subtle differences, and if you are a really observant artist, you can’t pass them off as the same lioness. btw I reffed them from several screenshots to get them as accurate as possible.

Every morning, as he always did, Taka left the caves very early, and went off by himself, away from the family and their disapproving stares.
This morning however, Taka was not alone, as was his want. A soft, familiar female voice lilted, “Taka? Are you okay?”
He refused to even glance behind him—he could sense the pleading tone and knew he would read the same thing in her eyes. The last thing he needed was sentimentality.

As promised, more Sarafina. :D

Now you finally get to learn a little more about me! I'm a culinary student at my community college, and today I was in a baking and pastry class. We had the oppurtunity to make truffles, etc. This is called a "flood design". Basically we laid the design we wanted under a piece of clear acetate paper and outlined the design in chocolate and filled it with either colored white chocolate or a confection. I chose Simba (who else?).

He broke a little during transit which I am sad about...but I hope you all enjoy it!

Thoughts:
Mohatu: It's almost like I have two sisters now.
Nubia: He is sooo cute!
Busara: This is so embarrassing...

Btw Busara is Mohatu's actual sister. Nubia is a friend of Busara's and will be the mother of Kula. She's also a relative of Sarabi's...a cousin.

I think Taka would be more sensitive than Mufasa if he grew up around his mom. Which would explain why he's such a ladies man--girls like a sensitive guy.
But quick emotional attachments like that never last.

Just a quickie. When I was drawing this, I kept thinking of the scene where Sarabi says, "If you were half the king Mufasa was..."

Nala mourns over the place that, once her beloved home, is now shrouded in shadows and grief over a childhood lost.

When I saw site wide contest, I was like, "nice. I can get into that." The color I chose was a brownish-biege.

"What...what happened to you?!" Uru cried in astonishment. He was so covered in pond scum and marsh sludge she had to look twice before she recognized her longtime friend. but when she saw what was in his mouth, her heart started racing...
"I broufth you thom flowersth!" lisped Ahadi.

Love makes people do crazy things. XP
Uru's position was reffed. And Ahadi's smile looks creepy.

Mohatu finds an unconscious lioness while on one of his travels. Her story in a nutshell is that she was attacked and left for dead by a previous mate because she didn’t bear him a son. Mohatu finds her, nurses her back to health, and offers her protection and position as his queen at Pride Rock. Her name is Awiri, which means, “thrown away”, but Mohatu kindly renames her Ngozi, which means, “blessing”.

Since we're allowed more than one entry, this is my second entry for the contest. :3

This is my entry for the contest, and practice for my comic. ^v^ It's based on the the book TLK6NA, "The Tale of Two Brothers", where Rafiki briefly mentions Uru finding water in a drought.

In the original script, Mheetu was supposed to be chased by the wildebeast, I decided to depict him running from them instead of Simba.
