This is a WIP of my Zira/Tama saga. Just so you have something colorful to look at. I have a several unfinished pics in my LK folder and in my sketchbooks, so if I can get them done this weekend or next, I will be uploading a bit more frequently. Hopefully. :)

Why, hello! Fancy meeting you here. :)

I know it's been a while! But life has just gotten in the way--school, family and general life drama. Also, I got bored with drawing lions all the time, and found myself doodling ferrets, dogs, wolves, people...anything to get some creativity flowing. And...stuff happened. Mostly it happened all over my notes. ;) Doing other things has improved my style too. At least I think so.

This pic was b/c kiara-chasing-butterfly pics..got sick of them. So I imagined what it would be like if she actually caught it. lol.

BTW, this isn't a promise I'm going to be around much. Being the last semester of college (yay!), studies have precedence over art. But I'll pop in every once in a while, just to say h

Sketch dump. :) Sorry I've been inactive. I am working on trades. I've just been kinda unmotivated, honestly. But they will get done.

BTW, in case you wanted to know, my comic is kinda getting a revamp. We'll see how it goes.

What really happened to the hyenas during SP?....they...got lost?

A sketch version of my contest entry. I found out hyenas are surprisingly easy to draw. I even made...well, I'll just let you see it later. <.<
Of the three, Ed wasn't my favorite. He came out looking stupid, but I suppose that's the point...

To celebrate canon days/TLK anniversary.

Sorry for the jpeggyness. Paint.net isn't working for some reason. A little window popped up and told me to upload some framework from the microsoft website. I did that, but nothing changed. So I won't be uploading for a while until I can figure it out. Sorry to those whom I owe trades and stuff...I dunno what else to do ;_;

“Yeah, and I thought you could use some company, so I rushed right over!” Zira purred obnoxiously as she rubbed Taka.
Taka’s nose wrinkled and his body tensed. “That’s *so* thoughtful of you.” I should have done us all a favor and just let her drown, he thought.

Zira strikes me as the immature, clingy type.

The sun's radiance warmed Kiara's senses as the soft breeze blew by. With it, a delicious smell filled her lungs, and she knew her father was--and would always be--close by.

Summer’s finally here! Yay!
I’ve been feeling like I need to broaden my spectrum as far as what I draw—all I've been doing is lions, and I hardly ever draw any of the other African species.
Before I began drawing TLK lions in earnest, I used to paint and sculpt model horses. Consequently I studied their anatomy a lot. I tried to recreate what I remembered from memory. Yes, this little guy was done with no reference at all (except for the stripes) in my final class yesterday, and I’m pretty proud of him! XDD

My entry for the contest. Nala's point of view when she was in the Elephant graveyard, just before Simba saved her.

EDIT: Changed Nala's paws a bit, per Majordomo's kind suggestions. They were bugging me previously, and I'm a bit happier with the perspective now. This was a hard contest, but it's good for budding artists! :D

Life is sometimes so painfully beautiful
It makes me to want to cry
Where the only light is the burning sadness of the stars.

Sometimes I just go outside on a clear night and wonder. I know who I am and what life is about, I don't have to question that. But I do like to think about it.

Sarabi awoke from her dream to disappointment. It was almost dawn, and she no longer felt the furry body of her beloved cub next to her. Her eyes traveled downward almost against her will, and a warm tear slipped out unnoticed by the sleeping pair beneath her.

Drago-you are so amazing, you have no idea. I used to pick out specific colored outlines for each char, but doing it the outlines like in your tutorial has saved so much time, and each pic comes out beautifully. Thank you! XD
