It's little Nuka I again! Done in Sketcher without ref a week or two ago...he was originally talking to Scar, who was too ugly to make the cut. XD

I'm extremely pleased with how the bg turned out, particularly the illusion of depth and the way the colors compliment each other.

So I was trying to give Majordomo ideas in Sketcher using the Mad Libs process--a color, canon character, and emotion--and somehow I was assigned the task of {Hot Pink, Scar, Overjoyed}. This is the result. XD

I mean, who *doesn't* get overjoyed by the sight of ants tearing apart a dragonfly?

Ah, babysitting. Poor Scar's been dealing with cubs a lot more annoying than Simba since before that terror was even born. ;) Can you imagine watching a cubby Zira and her mischevious brother? That would make anyone grumpy...

"Sarabi, that other cub is going to be a king one day. You'll be a queen, of your own lands. Your older brother will be the king here...do you really want to stay in his shadow for the rest of your life?"

"What if no one there likes me? What if HE doesn't like me?"

"Impossible. Who couldn't like you? But if things really don't work out between you and your betrothed, King Ahadi and I have a backup plan. You see, there is a younger brother, and the kingship can only go to a lion able to produce heirs..."

The choice of his heir from the outside may have seemed difficult, but the king had always known what his decision would be. For every time Ahadi looked at his youngest son he saw his father, the tyrant, Zulika--the very lion who had caused his flight to the Pridelands, whose mind had fallen into paths of darkness and madness. And he knew that somehow, this would also be Taka's terrible fate.

Another Sketcher/PS hybrid. My version of Ahadi (Scar and Mufasa's father) and his origins. And also Scar's as well--did Ahadi truly see the cub's eventual fate, or did his projections upon his son make him a monster? (Zulika was adopted from TUS as Ahadi's abusive father.)

My first picture of the character I'm going to call Mhuni, adopted from Kallico some time ago. Going into my spin on canon as the younger sister of Mufasa and Scar, who is outcast as a teenager for causing discord in the pride. Done in Sketcher.

I felt like canon! So I did the two brothers!

I think it's funny to look around the site at cub pics of Mufasa and Taka/Scar, because most of them depict them as littermates. However, because it is clearly distinguished that Muffy is the older one in TLK and TLK6NA, I think they weren't the same litter and that there was a bit of an age difference. So here's cubbie Taka and an older Mufasa. I think it's okay, for a quick picture. Altered my shading style a little bit.

My idea of what Uru and Ahadi looked like (parents of Mufasa and Scar). I think that Uru was actually Mohatu's daughter and that Ahadi was one of the outlander sub-type of lion. Mufasa gets his gold coloring from his father, of course, while Taka is a redhead.

Ahadi and Mufasa - Another part of the picture that will include Taka/Scar. I decided to make up my own colors for Ahadi, and gave him some of Taka's angular features. Mufasa's colors were as close as I could get them, and I tried to make him look different from Simba as a cub. Hope it looks okay!
