Kalliel Pride

My first created pride under the leadership of Kalliel (includes outlander characters). This folder also includes lions in the Kalliel Outlands, plus the Kagiso Jungle and Masamba Forest prides, as all four of these groups exist in the same area.

Rasa really needed a design update. She's a teenage lioness of the Kalliel pride who is thought to have jungle lion blood in her due to her coloring.

Omygosh, I haven't drawn Falern in forever! So here he is again finally! Drawn in Sketcher.

Edit: You know what, this pic actually reminds me of the style of one of my favorite artists, Galactacian/ aka Kim. She does fantastic canon character work, you should check her gallery out if you haven't heard of her. :)

Young Kasim with a lion on the TT that could be his father. His color palette fits my jungle/forest lions, and he would probably be the head of the jungle pride that Kasim leaves when he grows up.

Update: His name is now Selvas.

Two brothers, adopted from different people. The one on the left I've decided to name Dart, adopted from Black_claw. Dart likes chocolate (yum!) and is shown here with a couple design alterations to better fit with Dash, his brother, originally designed by Rainbow Fountains and adopted from Poonie. Aren't they cute littermates? Thanks to all who let me have them!

It's Kalliel and Wynn with their oldest cubs. I want to adopt the light-colored female from ShadowRavenX to be the twin sister to the blue male (also designed by ShadowRavenX). I made a couple of design changes to Wynn so the family works together better--it's my first full-body of her. Kalliel and Wynn also have a younger cub, Bakali, who is getting a new picture soon.

Character sheet for Zuna, my forest lioness adopted from Bepo. I've decided all forest and jungle lions have green eyes. Slight changes to her design--I didn't like the dark brown nose, and I lightened under her eyebrows a bit (I favor the "Pridelander" style).

Update: Didn't get him, but that's okay since I got Tayu.

Update again: He's back up for adoption by Poonie this time. If RF doesn't want him back, I'd like to adopt him. :)

His name is Kasim, meaning "just", and he is part of my outlander group of males along with Aslo and Garrek. Was cast out of his pride when he grew to adulthood, and now spends his time as a moderator among his new "family". Thinking about taking over the Kalliel pride with a few friends.

It's Bakali with a young adult male character I want to adopt from ShadowRavenX. Isn't he cute? And he's exactly the right colors to be a relative of Bakali, maybe a brother even. I hope I get him!!

Update: He has officially been adopted as a brother to Bakali, and I've decided to name him Xavien.

Here's another pair for Kalliel's pride--a young lioness named Wynn and her daughter with Kalliel, Bakali. Both blue-gray, a color I haven't used yet, but I like it, and they also both have curly hair! I haven't seen many lions around like that and I thought it would be cool.

This is Garrek, an outlander character who's a pretty scrawny specimen. He's low because he felt life dealt him a rum deal. Still an adolescent, but without the typical teenager attitude. Poor fella.

A character sheet for Varsam of the Kalliel Pride. He was the nephew of the former leader, and felt he deserved to be next in line, rather than Kalliel. It took a paw to the face to set him back, and he still bears a lot of resentment and a nasty scar.

Awwww... it's Traien's parents! Together! Kalliel and Shey, the rulers of the Kalliel Pride. I really like this drawing because it shows Shey's playful side. Kalliel's soft side also comes through--he's not always the distant leader.

Here's Shey, Kalliel's mate and Traien's mother. She's a muted cream color, with tan accents and a tan left forepaw. Traien inherited her wispy hair--she has three locks falling over her forehead. Plus sky blue eyes. A nice contrast to Kalliel.

I finally settled on a design for Kalliel, the leader of my main pride. He's a muted granite color, a cold gray in contrast to his son Traien's warm gray-brown, with a whitening mane and tail (because he's pretty old). Kalliel doesn't have a wispy mane like Traien's; it's more traditional instead. His character design is rather cold, stony, and distant because I wanted it to reflect his personality.

This is a new character of mine (because I've been entering so many contests that I need to *make* characters just to collect my prizes) named Rasa. She's a young lioness, from the same pride as my character Kazya. Rasa has reddish coloring with freckles. She also has a bird's feather woven into her tail tuft.

Here is my first original character design: Kazya, a little girl. She is fairly light-colored for a lioness, with a darker stripe that runs from her nose to her tail, including the top of her head and ears. Her nose, tail tuft, and the rim of her ears are a light tan color. She also has beautiful lilac eyes.
