UPDATE, December 7th, '08
I've done a MAJOR change to my comments; I changed the replies to almost all my old comments. That way, no one will think of me as a naive little n00b that I once was =P

This rant was written because Lil Cheetah insisted that I did. If anything offends you, don’t blame her, but blame me because I’m the one writing it.

What can I say? You probably already know what I’m talking about. Since The Great Rant from Lil Cheetah, there’s not been much change in the bulletin board. I support her fully on her opinion; spamming, or in other words, posting useless stuff on the bulletin boards has GOT to stop. I’m seriously sick of whiny attention seekers; particularly the two-part bulletins which say “My art sucks. I’m leaving.” And on to part two…. “Awww, I luff you guys too much. I’m not leaving after all 8D.”

And why do people do this, you ask? Why, I answer, is because everything here nowadays is all about getting comments, winning contests, getting AoTM…in other words, it’s all about popularity.

Offtopic bulletins, such as advertising other sites, p***** people off too. And when you get comments telling you to shut the hell up, you whine. Grow up, guys, those comments are truer than the truest things on Earth. (Oh, and posting stupid replies and insults only make you look worse.)

Bulletins that are acceptable (Which are rarely seen around anyway) are those like:

Commission Prices: Those can be really helpful to some people who are interested in your art and want to buy some from you.

Questions or queries: Only at a limited range though. Most of those can be spoken about to Brian, and he’ll gladly answer them for you. Also, questions about programs like Photoshop don’t need to be asked. What’s the TLKFAA Wiki for, anyway?

Contest Prizes: These are also reasonably okay. But contest WINNER announcements aren’t; you can simply go and e-mail/comment the winner on their pages; there’s no need to post a whole bulletin and grab people’s attention unnecessarily.

Announcing/Reminding people about an important event in the TLK or TLKFAA universe: These are probably the most widely accepted bulletins. (I actually once posted a bulletin reminding everyone about TLK’s 14th birthday, but there were only two responses besides mine…but that’s a whole other issue, so back to topic.)

Bulletins that will DEFINITELY gain you harsh and rude comments:

The Famous Two-Part Bulletin: Already mentioned. By just typing a few words, you get a horrible reputation before you can say ‘Pride Rock’.

The ‘nocommentsfeelbadformeh’ Bulletin: The title is self-explanatory.

The ‘Its mie birthday 8D’ Bulletin: *Pokes title*

…and there are probably thousands more, but those are basically the most annoying.

So, do yourself a favor and save everyone else the act of hair-ripping and head-banging and KNOCK IT OFF. Honestly, for those of you who continue this…I’m sorry, but you really shouldn’t be here. As some smart person said in a comment to an example of these people, “Maybe DA is the place for you.”

Oh, if you get offended, you may tell me about it. But if I get a flame, like for example, "U suk stop hurting other ppls feelings u copycat", I'll either simply ignore it or give a smart-ass reply. Capisce?

Oh, and thank you VERY much, Lil Cheetah, for all the support ;D We all love you, and you know it ;)
