Unfortunately I might have to be even more absent than I am already around teh interwebz. I just got my school schedule and I will literally have no free time. x.x I get two afternoons a week that I'm not in school or at work and so will likely be filling that time with homework. So. I will try to stay active (ish) around here with doodles if I can, but if I fall off the face of the internet no worries--I have only landed in reality. e_e

Rednight told me about this program called Paint tool Sai, so I went and tried it out.....super fun! It's like photoshop only doesn't take forever to load! I'm definitely gonna have to play around with it more, but here's my first quick go at it.

Edit: It's apparently a 31 day trial for free and then you have to buy it for $50...which is still a great deal considering Photoshop is upwards of 200! If you're interested, here's the link: sai/

"It is beautiful..." And for a moment she let herself be completely overwhelmed by the mystery of the place. The otherworld-ness of it. Finding the prince and friend she thought long dead. Surely a place as alive as this one could not exist in the real world; not when their homeland had shriveled away to nothing. It was as if when Simba had left he had taken all that was good in their world with him.

Found this today, apparently drawn in January. It was drawn in sketcher and colored in open canvas, yepyep. Speaking of, if anyone has OC1 and networking capabilities, I have been dying to draw with people yet no one I know can or wants to.

My last day of class is tomorrow! HOLY CRAP EXCITEMENT! I can actually catch up around here again--joy of joys! <3

Doodled this up in MS Paint and then colored it in OC. For some reason I can't really bring myself to go all-out and draw lately--I think my job is sapping me a bit. ^^; I spend all day at work drawing pictures for little kids and I feel weird after I get back home. I can't figure out if I feel warn out or warmed up--either way I've been doodling left and right.

I'm on a bit of an elephant thing at the moment, been drawing them all over the place. :) This elephant's "design" is based off of an old elephant that I saw at the Fort Worth Zoo a few months ago. No ref used because I was fooling around and being lazy...'sides, it's just a sketch. ;P

Fear my made-up anatomy! xD Her legs look so...weird. And her ear is too tiny, I know.

Still trying to work out how to use Photoshop. I used Timali's grass tutorial for this and it helped LOADS. *worships* You people that post tutorials are my heros. :D Now the only thing I have yet to figure out is how to do smoother line art...any suggestions would be most helpful. :3
Edit:Oops uploaded the wrong pic. There's supposed to be grass in front of him but I left him on top accidentally

There are SO MANY great artists out there...and I don't know about you guys, but I get _really_ intimidated by them/their talent/bleh. 0.0

Drawn sometime in the fall last year. No resemblance to anyone's character intended, honestly.

Edit:I fixed it to look like the correct version, though the original is better. It always bothered me that I didn't upload the finished version the first time.

I don't know about you, but at my house when the holidays roll around there's always TONS of sweets and fresh-baked cookies/cakes 'n such laying around. Only problem is, I have a tendancy to eat WAY more than I should, and thus I get really full and feel terrible for about an hour while I digest. -_-; So right now, Vitani is sharing my pain. =P Happy holidays everyone!

Anyway, this is a drawing of a dominant female ostrich laying her eggs as a young female watches and waits for her turn to add her own eggs to the nest.
