Quick practice sketch (ref used) done in sketcher yesterday for Tus' Weekly Critters challenge of the week: Elephants! 83 So of course I had to do at least one sketch. You guys should check it out, it promises to be a fun little community. :3

So this. This right here is the reason I haven't been around since the end of last semester. I got a job as a cake decorator in a local shop and it sucks up all of my spare time. It's a surprisingly taxing business; I've worked there until the wee hours of the morning many a time. @_@

Anyway, since I started working there I've wanted to do a Lion King order but have yet to get a single one. :( So when a friend asked me to do whatever I wanted on his cake, I decided to try a shaped cake (never done one before) with a Lion King theme. Unfortunately I only had 30 minutes in which to do this, so it is rather sloppy (as you can see) and I only managed to snap this horrid picture just before the store closed...but, well. There you go. :0

My half of a cannon trade with Tus--sorry it took me so long! :x I redrew this image of hers which was inspired by the song Room of Angel from Silent Hill. I listened to it while drawing, such a hauntingly pretty song--thus the extra haunty-ness of Nuka's ghost. :o

I just got my school schedule and I will literally have no free time. x.x I get two afternoons a week that I'm not in school or at work and so will likely be filling that time with homework. So. Rednight told me about this program called Paint tool Sai, so I went and tried it out.....super fun! It's like photoshop only doesn't take forever to load! I'm definitely gonna have to play around with it more, but here's my first quick go at it.

Edit: It's apparently a 31 day trial for free and then you have to buy it for $50...which is still a great deal considering Photoshop is upwards of 200! If you're interested, here's the link: sai/

"It is beautiful..." And for a moment she let herself be completely overwhelmed by the mystery of the place. The otherworld-ness of it. Finding the prince and friend she thought long dead. Surely a place as alive as this one could not exist in the real world; not when their homeland had shriveled away to nothing. It was as if when Simba had left he had taken all that was good in their world with him.

My Fan Characters

I can't seem to muster the will to actually finish anything these days. e_e I got super lazy on a good portion of this, but I wanted to get the image down before I forgot. It's a "scene" from the "story" I've got going (in my head) involving the various characters I've had for years now and never done a thing with...this is the part where Cliff and co. have their first elephant encounter in their attempts to muster up an opposition to the current regime, etc, etc....obviously Cliff doesn't fare too well in the diplomatic arena.

Found this today, apparently drawn in January. It was drawn in sketcher and colored in open canvas, yepyep. Speaking of, if anyone has OC1 and networking capabilities, I have been dying to draw with people yet no one I know can or wants to.

I drew this in sketcher a few days ago.....I felt like such a jerk too cos by the time I finished it the room was almost full and this giant thing was taking up all the center space. ><; Will definitely try to keep my sketcher doodles much smaller unless it's 3/4 am from now on, yepyep.
