I don't usually look at the contests, but back when I started this I had some free time to spend on personal art and I saw Lucky's African Species contest was a BIRD. Well...how do you expect me to resist, especially one with such vibrant colours? So here's a concept of a little Malachite Kingfisher guy. No name yet, I'm horrible with names.

I really like this style of colouring I've been using lately. Reminds me of my childhood cartoons. <3 So I ended up really simplifying the markings as if they were required to be easy to animate. (They have pretty crest feathers!)

I hope this gets approved in time! Now I see why Auto Approval is so neat...

Finally, a model sheet for everybody's angsty gray emo lion, Kilindo. I really like the art for this...although on the main image Kilindo looks somewhat like an anime character. Must be the hair. XD

It's a fluke that I had a couple uploads so close together. You just wait, I'll not upload for a couple months again. :b

Model sheet for Rubani, putting to rest that insistent question: where does she have eyespots, if at all? Answer: Only on her left cheek.

I know this is done rather badly and quickly, but this is mainly to serve as a color and marking model sheet for all who want to draw Rubani. I'll probably do a better one later.
