Kri had never seen her little brother so upset before. He was huddled alone in the back of the cave, his paws wrapped around his head and face as his small, pudgy body shook with quiet sobs.

"Tumbva? What's wrong?" she asked softly as she got closer. She heard him sniff, then saw him curl into a tighter ball.

"Why do they all hate me? What did I do wrong?" For he had been the subject of Kri's friends' mockery since he had ever known them, and finally they had gone too far. This little prince could take no more.

Gasping softly, Kri darted forward and quickly embraced her brother. "Hate you? How could anyone hate you? They're just jealous!" she tried to comfort him.

He only cried harder as he pressed against Kri's warm fur.

I don't have much to say about this one, actually... ^^; I don't like how the background came out much, but otherwise I'm quite happy with this picture. This one is /completely digital/. Even the sketch was done in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. o_O' Anyway. If you want to see a larger version, go here: 54429258/

A detail of the Ashanti picture. I added some fur texture... which was inspired by a picture Truro did some time back. I wanted to add some more to the pic, but... nothing looked right, so there's kinda an empty spot to the right. But it kinda adds a feeling of loneliness, which is good. ^^;

I was listening to the song "To Love You More" by Celine Dion... and as I listened to the lyrics, I was reminded distinctly of my old RPing character, Ashanti. This picture is the result.

Ashanti was in love with her cub-hood friend, Habu (© his player)... they were even girlfriend/boyfriend. If it were her choice, Ashanti would have it stay that way. Then she found him cheating on her. Not just once, but twice... which created inner turmoil, though she didn't dump the poor guy (who probably deserved it). Here she ponders what she should do, sorrow overflowing as tears fall down her face.

OMG! It has a background! XD

Zene stares quietly into the distance, remembering...

Not too happy with the shading or background on this one, but I needed a picture of Zene... XD
Edit: Forgot to give some credit where it's due: I used Katikut's grass brush for the grass! XD I love those things! ^^;

...if you have any name ideas for him, I'd love hear them! XD This guy may show up in a story in the future... for now, he's just a lion mentioned in my Story, Shadowland. He is the Son of Scar... and Nala's half-brother. >< Oops. Spoiler... XD Typical "out to get Simba" character for any son of Scar. Yup.

Wow! I haven't drawn Zina in a LONG time... o_O' But here she is. Her eye is kinda big, but I like it otherwise... and, in case you didn't notice in my last couple of pics... I'm trying to go for a more realistic style with the ears. I really need to develope my own style. ><
