Kri had never seen her little brother so upset before. He was huddled alone in the back of the cave, his paws wrapped around his head and face as his small, pudgy body shook with quiet sobs.

"Tumbva? What's wrong?" she asked softly as she got closer. She heard him sniff, then saw him curl into a tighter ball.

"Why do they all hate me? What did I do wrong?" For he had been the subject of Kri's friends' mockery since he had ever known them, and finally they had gone too far. This little prince could take no more.

Gasping softly, Kri darted forward and quickly embraced her brother. "Hate you? How could anyone hate you? They're just jealous!" she tried to comfort him.

He only cried harder as he pressed against Kri's warm fur.

'How can this be?'the queen wondered silently to herself as she reached the pinnacle of Pride Rock. 'Why have you gone away?

"Without you, nothing is beautiful anymore..." Sarabi whispered to the empty air as she collapsed to her stomach, vision blurring with the first tears she had shed since Mufasa and Simba's deaths. She could not let them fall. She was the queen. She alone was strong. She must hold up the pride when they could not stand on their own. So she lifted her chin bravely...

...and the tears fell down.

"The sun will set on my time here..."

Once upon a time...

A quick, fun doodle I did in sketcher earlier. It's rough -- but then again, it's sketcher! :) It's been a long time since I've done a pic of canon TLK characters, and cub Mufasa and Taka ended up being the first I've done in ages. n_n Both of them are a bit off -- neither looks as they should and some of their colors are off, but... oh well! :)

I haven't done a picture of my fursona in a while, so I decided to draw one. I drew her in a more TLK-ish style than I usually do when I draw her... and I really like the turn out. :) Anyway. Prismalcolor Pencils are.... awesomeness. :D Aaaaand! What makes me really happy, is that my scanner didn't complettely butcher it this time. :)

A detail of the Ashanti picture. I added some fur texture... which was inspired by a picture Truro did some time back. I wanted to add some more to the pic, but... nothing looked right, so there's kinda an empty spot to the right. But it kinda adds a feeling of loneliness, which is good. ^^;

I was listening to the song "To Love You More" by Celine Dion... and as I listened to the lyrics, I was reminded distinctly of my old RPing character, Ashanti. This picture is the result.

Ashanti was in love with her cub-hood friend, Habu (© his player)... they were even girlfriend/boyfriend. If it were her choice, Ashanti would have it stay that way. Then she found him cheating on her. Not just once, but twice... which created inner turmoil, though she didn't dump the poor guy (who probably deserved it). Here she ponders what she should do, sorrow overflowing as tears fall down her face.

OMG! It has a background! XD

My half of an art trade with ~Bonebreaker~! Her character, IceBolt (the cub), and mine, Iceblue (the spirit). I swear I didn't think at all of the two characters' similarities until after I drew it! I was trying out Sarabi with my new Prismacolor Markers! I kinda like it. I hope the colors look ok. I used my pencils as well, to add a little bit of white to it... though I doubt it's very noticable. I hope you guys like it... and yes, I know I haven't uploaded in a long time (once again), but I assure you... I'm not leaving the archive! XD

Hiiii! Haven't uploaded in a while, so here's something. I used TerraGen to generate the background... which is actually what inspired the lioness... not the other way around. This is how I might imagine Sarabi's mother. ... or Zira's. Not sure which yet. XD

He is the Son of Scar... and Nala's half-brother. >< Oops. Spoiler... XD Typical "out to get Simba" character for any son of Scar. Yup.

I decided to try and "pair up" each reference pic with a picture that is as "nice" as possible... with a background and everything... of and/or portraying that character's nature...

Ice squinted against the blizzard's cold winds. Snow clung to her pelt, and even she could feel its chill. She couldn't imagine how the lion cub swinging limply in her maw felt... all she knew, was she had to get Sharvi to safety.

Based on RPs I had with Sharvi (Kip) a long time ago... -misses them.-

Sarabi peers down from Pride Rock. The Pride Lands are beautiful... or they were. What she sees saddens her, for the once fruitful lands are barren... and though the sun shines brightly, it is clear that the land is dying, along with its great king and their future.

Just some randomness. Completely digital again since I was too lazy to draw anything otherwise. Not very good... but I was practicing drawing PR. -noddles-

Yeah... I finished and recolored it. :) I've turned the lioness into Uru, the mother of Mufasa and Taka, done a background (the first and only one that I'm actually half-way satisfied with), and tried to make it look nice. In the process, however, I'm pretty certain it's a bit too big. e.e; Anyway... your opinions (and perhaps a gentle critique on the background?) would be nice...

A picture in the same shading style as the picture of Kiara. This time, it's Simba. It was done using only a tablet and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. He might get a background, eventually... but for now, he prepares to pounce, playfully of course! Originally his claws were unsheathed, but it looked too... serious (it still does) so I removed them.

Kiara! She's supposed to be pregnant, but I'm sure she doesn't look like it. >< I'm not very happy with this picture; rather than do the sketch on paper, I sketched it digitally, and I'm not very good at that, so I don't like it much. Just a random leonine that resembles my character Zene... but isn't. I'm still here people. Really, I am. I guess 2006 hasn't been a good year for me... but I hope it will get better. I'm realizing how much I really miss it here... This is unfinished, and will probably remain that way. But I like it too much to consider it one of my crappy sketches, and it really didn't go anywhere else, so... enjoy?
