10/10/06 -- Hey everybody, Ice here, of course!
No... I didn't leave the archive. I just couldn't do a thing like that... I've just... had a bad year, I suppose. For the first time in my life, I was well and truly depressed, and I think I still might be. I haven't had the time to upload, or the inspiration to draw... :'( I'm realizing that I really missed this place. You can't "hang out" regularly for three years plus at a place and not miss it.
Anyway, for the time being, Art Trade's and Requests are open... however, I will no longer be doing icons. ...Oh, and the rest of my comment box is coming back up soon... or whenever I have time to work on it more fully. --Ice

My Other Fan-Works

The Lion King III: The Next Generation -- The story of Tumba and Kri, my version of Kovu and Kiara's children. Currently into the 6th chapter, and trying to get the 7th to come out right before posting... Rated (T); just in case. Only a PG story right now, though.
The Last Moments -- A story about Zira's last moments, from her point of view. ...it was heavily inspired by Shema's Picture. I think I rated it PG... haven't looked at it in a while. XD

'How can this be?'the queen wondered silently to herself as she reached the pinnacle of Pride Rock. 'Why have you gone away?

"Without you, nothing is beautiful anymore..." Sarabi whispered to the empty air as she collapsed to her stomach, vision blurring with the first tears she had shed since Mufasa and Simba's deaths. She could not let them fall. She was the queen. She alone was strong. She must hold up the pride when they could not stand on their own. So she lifted her chin bravely...

...and the tears fell down.

"The sun will set on my time here..."

Four or five hours in CS4.

Simba and Nala share a touching moment in the jungle. I didn't really work too hard on the background, and it shows. xD Sorry. I did this for my college roommate for her birthday.

Once upon a time...

There was an artist who thought she could draw. xD

And after nearly seven years she improved. Greatly.
But still tells herself she sucks sometimes.
Yeah. That would be me!

My first-ever upload to the internet EVER was a picture of Kiara. With pointed years. o_o And here is the same image, re-drawn so you can compare. :)

A quick, fun doodle I did in sketcher earlier. It's rough -- but then again, it's sketcher! :) It's been a long time since I've done a pic of canon TLK characters, and cub Mufasa and Taka ended up being the first I've done in ages. n_n Both of them are a bit off -- neither looks as they should and some of their colors are off, but... oh well! :)

Heheh! I haven't uploaded anything in a while, eh? Anyway. This is my attempt at a semi-realistic Sarabi that looks a lot less like Sarabi than I would've liked. I've been expirementing with realistic pictures in Photoshop lately, so... here we are. :)

I was trying out Sarabi with my new Prismacolor Markers! I kinda like it. I hope the colors look ok. I used my pencils as well, to add a little bit of white to it... though I doubt it's very noticable. I hope you guys like it... and yes, I know I haven't uploaded in a long time (once again), but I assure you... I'm not leaving the archive! XD

Hiiii! Haven't uploaded in a while, so here's something. I used TerraGen to generate the background... which is actually what inspired the lioness... not the other way around. This is how I might imagine Sarabi's mother. ... or Zira's. Not sure which yet. XD

"Why?"
Sarabi peers down from Pride Rock. The Pride Lands are beautiful... or they were. What she sees saddens her, for the once fruitful lands are barren... and though the sun shines brightly, it is clear that the land is dying, along with its great king and their future.

Just some randomness. Completely digital again since I was too lazy to draw anything otherwise. Not very good... but I was practicing drawing PR. -noddles-

Yeah... I finished and recolored it. :) I've turned the lioness into Uru, the mother of Mufasa and Taka, done a background (the first and only one that I'm actually half-way satisfied with), and tried to make it look nice. In the process, however, I'm pretty certain it's a bit too big. e.e; Anyway... your opinions (and perhaps a gentle critique on the background?) would be nice...

A picture in the same shading style as the picture of Kiara. This time, it's Simba. It was done using only a tablet and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. He might get a background, eventually... but for now, he prepares to pounce, playfully of course! Originally his claws were unsheathed, but it looked too... serious (it still does) so I removed them.

Kiara! She's supposed to be pregnant, but I'm sure she doesn't look like it. >< I'm not very happy with this picture; rather than do the sketch on paper, I sketched it digitally, and I'm not very good at that, so I don't like it much. The picture was intended to test her colors (I wanted to get them as accurate as possible... what do you guys think?)... so there's no background or anything. Anyway... I just wanted to upload something... Kiara © Disney.
