Jabari's Lioness:

It's a new semester, so I need to start thinking about "Jabari's Lioness" again. So here are Jabari, and the twins, Nuru, and Nia (who's looking all snarly...) i guess you could call this my homework...

This is Nia, the daughter of Jabari and the shadow-walker, Aja, with her brother, Nuru. From "Jabari's Lioness".
i was fooling around with a new brush setting, and before i knew it, i had drawn this! (well, ok, it took me @8 hrs...) so this is more of a doodle than a planned picture. i didnt start with a sketch, so the drawing just sort of grew... it's not perfect, and it's just an experiment to see what i could do with a new brush settiing, but i am constantly blown away by what you can do with photoshop! ***EDIT*** I just noticed that it kind of looks like the tarot card, "Strength" :P

Aja's Children
The eldest twin was a girl, born during the night. Her mother called her Nia: necessity, because she was why Aja had sought out Jabari. The boy she named Nuru, because he had been born just as the sun broke on the horizon... (c) From Jabari's Lioness
