An unassuming & reluctant king, Dawit ruled the legendary Pridelands, but his story really begins when he loses Pride Rock to a tyrant...

Heir to Sekhemre's regal bloodline, King Taji ruled the Pridelands before he was deposed by the young upstart, Dawit. But instead of running the old lion off, Dawit allowed him and his cubs to stay. In time, Taji became Dawit's mentor and taught the younger lion to become a true king...

Naki was frightened by the unfamiliar surroundings. "Daddy, wake up!" she pleaded, but he didn't seem to hear her. A soft voice murmured, "you'd better let him sleep, cub. He's exhausted. He's been through hell. And I imagine, so have you..."

Mahli stormed away, leaving the bewildered Faraji on the ledge. "Why don't you try NOT being such a big jerk?!" she snarled over her shoulder at him. Naki trotted up to her. "You like him, don'tcha?" Mahli cried, "That arrogant, spoiled brat?!" Naki chuckled, "Yeah, I like him too..."

Hard Question:
Dawit is fleeing for his life with his final remaining cub. Now Naki wants to know if her murdered twin, Kendi is in the stars with their mother. Dawit wants to believe it, but he just doesn't know. "I hope so, cub," he tells her.

Faraji, Taji's son. When Dawit defeated Taji, he allowed the old king and his cubs to remain in peace, but "prince" Faraji got to be a royal pain in the butt. When Dawit got fed up with this, he kicked Faraji out of the pride. Now the tables have turned & the resentful Faraji wants revenge, but the ex-king has other plans for the arrogant young "Prince" of Pride Rock.

Mara glanced behind her and her hairs stood on end. It was a cub. "What - on Earth - is that?" she snarled.
Naki tried to keep from trembling and answered timidly, "Uh, hi?"
