Marasa, my fursona. this image was created for the lilymud poster project. "simbamarasa" is a maasai/swahili shape-shifting spirit-lion that can walk through shadows and that cannot be stopped or killed.

Ishana, Mad Mara, and now Andromeda are ALL based on Marasa...

Sekhmet:
Her Egyptian name literally means "Powerful One". The upholder of the sacred balance of Ma'at, Sekhmet is the nemesis of uppity humans who get out of line. She is the guardian and protector of kings but also the patron of healers. Not a cat to be crossed. (My Inner Kitty)

Hmmm...the lioness and cub look familiar. an early attempt at simba and sarabi...
(Disclaimer: because i keep seeing this picture drawn by other artists, i thought it was important to note that my rendition was HEAVILY reffed from one of the most adorable lion photos i have ever seen -->bb5.jpg)
