I was looking through old pictures and i came acrossed my very first picture of Konga (which was never uploaded on the archive) and i felt like re-drawing my original concept of him for one reason...

i like the mane! hahaha... but yeah, this is what Konga originally looked like (and yeah... i had no color concept for him yet besides the fact that he would be darker with a black mane... cause he was gonna be a bad guy)

A simple sketch that has been laying around for forever... i figured i'd upload it to let ya'll know that 1)i am alive, and 2)i do remember the art trades and commissions that i owe people... and i feel like a really big jerk for taking as long as i have... but i AM back to working on them so they will hopefully be finished soon! yay.

He was alone. Back to his life of miserable solitude. He would bide his time, he was the very image of patience.

He had survived the hyenas, had fought his way to freedom... only now he was so covered in scars that his old namesake seemed obsurd. The masquerade was over. It was time to claim the name he had abandoned so long ago.. believing that he was no longer the same lion. But no, he now realised that he had always had this demon inside of him. This was his destiny.

Taka waited. Always watching. Biding his time in the shadows.

Simba always felt eyes watching him... always a chilly feeling of doom lurking behind every rock. Paranoia was eating at his soul. Why did he never felt at ease when peace reigned in the pridelands?

I love giraffes.. Their faces while they are eating rock my socks off... its like pure joy.. haha... i never noticed how animated/expressive their faces look.

.... XD trying to animate something by drawing each frame next to each other and trying to make them match just by eye is a pain.

I think Fred and George Weasley are my favorite fictional characters of all time. This sketch has been laying around for a couple years, but it never got cut from the "to be colored" pile simply because i LOVE those mischief makers!

Originally i planned on making the title of this one " Mischeif Managed"... but in light of what happened in the last HP book i plan on a completely different picture with that title instead.

I went into my "to be colored" folder to find something to work on... and i kept on coming acrossed a bunch of junk sketches that i decided i probably wasnt ever going to color... so i decided to compile them and upload them so i could forget about them. :D

top left is the sketch of the..er condom head lion. top right is my saber character Jeremiah that i havent drawn in years. The little disembodied head is Daanzi. Bottom left is Tufani (daanzi's daughter) its been forever since i drew her also. Bottom right is Konga and Daanz... Konga looks more... er... evil? than normal... idk. he looks funny

I'd like to apologize for what i wrote on my last picture

but i do want to say my emotions stemmed from a very real place.... if i dont feel like my art is touching anybody (and i dont mean whether or not my pictures are wicked popular or not) then it takes away what i love about it. Touching people through my art is my passion.

Anyhoo, what i really wanted to say is thank you for letting me know my stuff is still touching people. I apologize for not realizing it...and i hope i didnt make myself look too bad... and silly.

I love everyone here. No matter how much this archive has changed, the fact that it is filled with some of the most wonderful people on the planet is still very very true.

I've been feeling really down on my art lately.. Its just... when you spend hours on something and it feels like it just goes to waste... its just making me feel really crummy.

I guess i'm having more issues with dA about that than here... I've come to terms with the fact that i'm a "has been" at the archives. XD

i was going to color it... but its just like... why bother... i dont feel like my art -touches- anybody any more..

i'm beginning to think that my art has lost its soul

like, i dont really mind the mass send out gift art things. But people seem to be coming up with them for everything and lately thats almost all that gets sent to my art trades and requests thing. it takes the whole "personal" aspect out of giftart... and frankly, its becoming somewhat like spam O.o

oh yeah, and the paper says "to whomever this may concern... I <3 YOU!"
