*Edit:Right after I uploaded this I was thinking on the character and came up with more stuff. Linking to the comic page *gotta upload pg2+3* The mother, pleading for her cubs lives to be spared, is heard by the 'mountain spirit' and granted her dying wish, however it's too late for one cub. The living cub is taken to a pride that resides at the bottom of the mountain and placed in their care with the spirits blessing *to be Arcus's brother*. Returning to the lifeless cub, the spirit grants him life again, but he is changed, and becomes a 'half spirit' and destined to take over duty as guardian once he is old enough.

Bam and the others had retired for the night, and the air was quiet once again. Areo looked around the cave that served as the groups haven, a certian fiery maned lion once again absent. It hadn't taken long for her to notice the playboys nightly absences, and this time she had all intentions to find out what it was that drew him away. Normally she wouldn't care, but her curiosity was piqued.
Away to a field, she followed him, and as he stopped, he looked over his shoulder, his face more somber than usual.
She sat next to Miki, as he looked up to the stars. Then he spoke.
"We always hear about the Great Kings who live in the stars...but what about us when we die?"
It was then she realized there was far more to this one then she thought.
