Another one to show my improvement with TLK stuff. Compare this to the Mufasa drawing in my old art folder..and you'll see what I mean :D I'm very pleased with how this came out too. No refs, except the top pic!

I found out a couple of weeks ago that one of my best friends, and my crush since I met him, is moving away. I drew this the same night. It's Devon & Kataya, wishing on that star for just a _litte_ more time. At least, that's what Kataya's wishing...

A single, silver tear rolled out of the corner of her eye and rolled down her coarse, blood-soaked fur. Everything Akira had known since birth was in a torrent of activity. The ones she loved were either dead or at the throats of the strangers, the terrain she once called home engulfed in flames. The activity whirled in her mind, and she suddenly became very dizzy...

"Akira!" Kyoto's deep voice reminded her that time still existed. "We need to get out of here...Dad's going to be fine..." His voice trailed off behind her. She stared at her dying pride as the flames licked the horizon. He was wrong. Dad was dead.

Before she knew she was mobile, she began running. Her legs pounded and the tears poured as they left all they knew behind.
