This was design 3 on my page o Mheetus, I have decided to go with this design, with a compromise. I did love the look of the superfluffy tuft, he'll grow into that look when he gets bigger. This is Mheetu's appearance while Simba is still in the Pridelands.

Four possible designs for Mheetu, all drawn in sketcher. I would like feedback on which design you enjoy most C: There are a variety of colors, the top right being slightly lighter than Nala's fur, and the bottom left being slightly darker than Sarafina's fur. Please tell me which colors and which design you like best C:

My entry for the color inspirations contest c: I chose pink and purple.

Following the reunion with his family out on the savannah, Kopa and the others returned to Pride Rock just as the fog was rolling in, the setting sun cast rose-colored light across the familiar rock formation. As Kopa approached, he looked up and saw the blue eyes he had missed these past several years.

Vitani looked on in shock, having come to terms with Kopa's death long ago, her heart suddenly filled with joy as the two young lions were reuinited at long last.

'I am home.' he whispered, his heart fulfilled.

It was early morning, and fog clung thickly to the ground. Kopa climbed a tall cluster of rocks, and was astounded by what he saw above the fog.
"Vitani, you have to see this!" He called down to his friend excitedly. Vitani climbed up after the young prince, being careful not to fall down the steep rock face.
"Are you coming or not, 'tani?" Kopa called, poking his head back over the ledge just in time to collide with Vitani's nose. The two stared at each other in silence for several moments. The awkwardness drained from the moment when Vitani finished her climb and gazed at the most beautiful sunrise she had ever seen.

A short while after Zira and the rest of the outsiders were exiled, Nuka is not welcome in his mother's presence. He is already becoming emaciated from lack of care, surviving only on what small prey he is able to catch.

Having heeded Nuka's warning, Kopa left the Pridelands. Nuka had told him that there was a rogue lion nearby that was known to be friendly, and was rumored to have been one of King Simba's childhood playmates. Kopa searched through the night for the rogue known as Tojo, and as the next morning dawned, he found him and told him of his plight. Tojo was very moved, and saddened by the grief that struck his former home. He agrees to take Kopa in and shelter him until it is safe for him to return home.

As the oldest cub in the care of the lionesses, Nuka is accustomed to being left alone. There are no other cubs his age to play with, and his mother will not allow him anywhere near his young siblings. As such, he is surprised to find a friend in the young prince, Kopa. At first, Kopa is drawn to Nuka because he is older and stronger, and Nuka is just glad to have sombebody to talk to, but it is not long until the two become inseparable.

Kopa returns to the Pridelands after years in exile, following a tearful reunion with his parents, he meets his sister for the first time while Kovu looks on dubiously. While Kovu knew Kopa as a cub, they did not know each other very well and seldom saw one another.

Cubby Mufasa!
I don't remember when I made this, or what I was trying to accomplish with this piece, but I do know it is slightly different from the way I usually draw. *shrug* yay for random lost art discoveries!

Edit: I now recall the purpose of this picture, I was attempting to imitate Cat B's drawing style and just never finished it. So props to Cat B. C:

"Run, Kopa! You have to get away from here, if you come back they'll kill you!"
"I'll never forget you, Nuka... Goodbye..."
Young Nuka warns Kopa of Zira's plot to kill him, and Kopa, like his father, runs in tears into the sunset. Kopa has been instructed to seek out a rogue lion that has been seen around the pridelands named Tojo. When Nuka returns to his mother, she knows he had something to do with the failure of her plan, but can't prove it, she never trusts him again, no matter how he tries for her approval.

Bash remained ever vigilant as he watched for predators while his herd grazed peacefully on the African savanna. His ears perked up as he percieved a minute sound coming from across the field. Raising his head, mouth still full of half-chewed grass, he began to bray the alert; there we lions nearby!

Style experiment!
I think Scar felt awful about what he did to Simba after he became king, but kept the pain inside. This is one of his few alone moments since he began ruling.

Just a thought on how Scar and Zira met, he saved her from drowning in a river. This could explain why she is so fiercly loyal to him, but makes her death sadly ironic...

Here is a project I did in art class a while back, it is done in ink, and please pardon the bad quality of the scanned image, it had to be scanned in four parts, and the paper was wrinkled. I'm pretty happy with it, over all =3
